Flores said that having U-Haul at his respected storage facility makes moving and storing more convenient than ever. Flores opened Stor in Town II in 1992 as a way to break from his career as a realtor.
“I bought the land and then with the equity in the land, I built the storage facility,” Flores said. “I lease the buildings in the front to a sign shop and a fire extinguisher business.”
With 125 units, Flores considers Stor in Town II an intimate facility but said it has a lot to offer.
Flores said that in some cases, people are waiting for approval to go into Mexico and they store their personal items at Stor in Town II while they wait.
“I partnered with U-Haul to get more exposure, and we have seen results,” Flores said. “Many customers see the benefit of renting the truck to move in and move out. It’s very positive about the convenience, the location and the services we offer.”
U-Haul and Stor in Town II are striving to benefit the environment through sustainability initiatives. Truck sharing is a core U-Haul sustainability business practice that allows individuals to access a fleet of trucks that is larger than what they could access on an individual basis.
Every U-Haul truck placed in a community helps keep 19 personally owned large-capacity vehicles, pickups, SUVs and vans off the road. Fewer vehicles means less traffic congestion, less pollution, less fuel burned and cleaner air.
Stor in Town II is a great place to become U-Haul Famous. Take your picture in front of a U-Haul product, send it in and your face could land on the side of a U-Haul truck. Upload your photo through Instagram using #uhaulfamous, or go to www.uhaulfamous.com to submit photos and learn more.
