Laughing Gas Motorsports Revs Engine with New U-Haul Dealership
OGDEN, UTAH (May 1, 2015) – Laughing Gas Motosports builds, customizes and services high-performance vehicles in the desert bike racing circuit.
Centrally located one block from historical downtown Ogden at 2600 Lincoln Ave., Laughing Gas Motorsports now offers a new line of high-performance vehicles that can carry more than a single racer.

Laughing Gas Motorsports opened in September, 2014 and introduced Ogden to an all-service motorsports store while offering mechanical service for all types of machines and engines, including corporate and government fleet vehicles.
“Utah has more recreational vehicles per capita than any other state,” said Tyler Loertscher, co-owner and chief mechanic at Laughing Gas Motorsports. “It’s a great place for us to do business because there are mountains and sand dunes an hour away.”
Co-owner and fellow motorsports enthusiast Christie Wilkes met Loertscher through the desert bike racing circuit.
Loertscher has 20 years of mechanical experience; his interest originated from age 7, when he took his first small-engine repair course at Weber State University.
“My grandfather taught me everything I know about mechanics,” Loertscher said. “He enrolled me in my first college course and drove me there every Wednesday afternoon.”
His grandfather, Fred Henry Michaels, was a mechanic for the Enola Gay, the Boeing B-29 Superfortress bomber that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
Laughing Gas Motorsports offers free local shipping, shipping to surrounding states and freight shipments. The partnership with U-Haul has allowed Laughing Gas Motorsports to expand its customer base.
“That is the primary reason we partnered with U-Haul,” Loertscher said. “When customers are 70 miles away, we can use U-Haul to provide transportation for their machines.”
