U-Haul Dealer Plotner Hardware Has Right Tools for Movers
RICHWOOD, OHIO (Sept. 9, 2015) – Before Plotner Hardware, LLC opened in Richwood, the nearest hardware store was more than 20 miles away. Brad and Vallarie Plotner were tired of making that drive.
Aside from the lumberyard and hardware store they now own and operate, the couple recently brought a needed U-Haul® neighborhood dealership to the Richwood community. The Plotners offer U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, support rental items and more.
Plotner Hardware at 365 E. Blagrove St. is open 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

“We had our own construction company for 17 years,” Brad explained. “We knew firsthand that there was a need for a local hardware store.”
Brad and Vallarie opened Plotner Hardware at a different location in 2010, moving to their new location earlier this year. The move doubled their space and put them near a major state route – Marion-Marysville Road.

The Plotners grew up in Richwood and stay very involved in the community.
“I’m actually on the board for the Richwood Independent Fair,” Brad said. “Basically, there are 18 elected officials and we make business decisions and make sure the operation is running smoothly.”
The Plotners also are active with the National Future Farmers of America Organization. They raise livestock and will frequently donate cattle to the local chapter.
