Rent a One-Way Moving Truck to Indianapolis, Indiana!

With more than 830,000 residents, Indiana’s capital city is a great place to write the next chapter of your life. Widely known simply as ‘Indy,’ another nickname is ‘The Crossroads of America,’ spawned from the major highways providing direct routes to other major Midwestern cities. Within the last five years, we have ranked Indianapolis as a Top Destination City in the U.S. With its robust artistic and musical appeal, and a positive job market, it is no wonder why people are choosing to move to Indianapolis.

Helpful Moving Tips for Relocating to Indianapolis, IN

We have more than 30 truck rental locations throughout the Indianapolis city limits, partnering with local businesses to make moving easier. Here are some moving tips to help you along the way.

  • Relocation timing – If possible, relocate during the spring or fall months when the weather is most pleasant. July and August can be very humid while temperatures dip below freezing in the winter. Moving in mid-September is your best bet to avoid precipitation.
  • Transportation is easier than most – Thanks to the 465, you can get almost anywhere in the city quickly. The beltway gives the city its shape, and to a certain extent, its sprawl. As such, finding parking in most areas isn’t difficult. (If you live downtown, taking advantage of the Cultural Trail and skywalk system is a must.)
  • Enjoy the community – Once you have moved into your new home, the things to do in Indianapolis are endless. Go check out a theater or any of the great live music venues, like The Vogue, Birdy’s or The Lawn in the summers. Feel like you’re a musician and grab a pork tenderloin at The Band. When the weather is great, take an outdoor tour. Walk/Segway along the canal or bike down the Cultural Trail. Both offer great views and many fun detours.
  • Start your engines – Each spring, Indianapolis plays host to “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” over Memorial Day weekend. Even for non-race fans, the events surrounding the race and the race week atmosphere can be a blast.
