Unfortunately some times in life, situations take issues to the wire. Meaning, I was told I had a 1/2 hr from the time of my actual return which was noon, to return the truck without further charges. I even called to let them know I would not make it by noon, I asked about a grace period time wise and that's when they told me 1/2. I also THOUGHT I was safe with the fuel...my error reading 3/8 full wrong. Upon arriving at this location, I had a hard time finding a parking spot. Went inside, received a very cold, un-smiling reception from a gentleman with purple hair and another employee...woman. She took the keys and went to inspect the truck. After giving information to the purple haired guy...who didn't smile one bit...he typed info into computer and then said I owe $69+ dollars. He said the truck was dirty,NOT my fault, that was the way I received it, then he said I was at 1/4 tank and not 3/8. I said, fine, my error, please give me the keys I'll go right around the corner and fill it up 2/8 of a tank. He said,"well I can't promise you when you return that another day will not be charged". I said you won't give me 15 mins to go around the corner, put 2/8 of a tank of gas in and get back without charging me? He said,"I can't adjust the computer. It is what it is". So after disagreeing back and forth and wasting 10+ mins, he ended up charging me $21.26, for the 2/8th. I didn't have time to argue and fight with him, I reluctantly paid what should have been MAYBE $5.00, but because he was NOT accommodating, argued with me and wasted my little time I had to correct the situation, it cost me more money. It may not seem like alot of money to other people, but EVERY penny counts for me these days and I was willing to go around the corner and fix it. Improvements: better customer politeness. Better parking area. Maybe even SMILE!!!!

I observed the young man working behind the counter participate in a conflict with a client. The client was out of hand, but he continued to escalate the conflict. Also, he was very short with a walk customer both after me and again on return of my vehicle. His attitude was short of expectations for a UHaul representative.

I got to site a little before 6pm Saturday and the office was already closed. The parking space connected to building were all full and I had to park the truck in an adjoining parking lot.
