I made reservations for a one way truck rental with a car transpo hitch 3 weeks in advance for the 31st of August. I called on the the 28th to confirm my reservation. It was confirmed August 31st @10 am. The 29th I get a call saying my reservation would not be honored and would be moved to the 4th. Ok. So here's my issue. Uhaul guarantees it's service yet that's just a gimmick bc 2 days before I was to use their guaranteed service it was moved and would have left me and my belongings out on the road to the 4th of course. So since they moved my date to the 4th I moved to penske where they were able to provide me the same service in 2 days that uhaul couldn't honor in 3 wweks

Reserved cargo trailer from North Tonawanda ny location. Showed up at 9am (opening time) but no one showed til 9:15. Then he said he does not have trailer. He did call for me and found they have one in Niagara Falls ny. Went here and told the I reserved on internet for quick pickup. They said they did have trailer but I need to have them hook it up to my truck before they complete paperwork. While I was getting the trailer hooked up I told them I was in a hurry because I had already lost time going to the other location, and had to go in the opposite direction of where I needed to use the trailer. After hooking up the trailer they told me to drive around front and come in the store to complete paperwork. When I got in there the guy that hooked up the trailer, was waiting on someone else, and I had to wait in line. I was ready to be checked out and the reps there were starting orders from scratch. I was disappointed that the guy I was working with didn't meet be at the desk and complete my rental. I was the last one to leave the store. I also had to remind someone to check the lights with me. Completing internet info myself is a waist of my time. It did not speed up the process at all, and I did not get notice beforehand that the trailer I reserved was at another location. However, the move went well and we finished the move before my helpers had to leave.

your improvements can start with your call center truck and trailer where not at same location as i was told cost me $50.00 for a cab to pick up the truck from another uhaul then drive back to pickup the trailer at the first location NOT GOOD UHAUL

I will never ever use uhaul again. Shoddy equipment, horrible customer service, especially Chris in scheduling. He is the most rude ignorant person I have ever met. He actually lied about us cursing at him and placed a note in our file about it which the branch employee actually responded that it was not true. This was the worst experience ever, they didn't have our truck and we ended up taking a 24' to philadelphia and scheduling actually had the gall to tell us that we had to bring it back to buffalo. No one was helpful and everyone told us it was our problem even though they messed up and didn't have our truck. This company is criminal and I will shout at the top of my lungs to everyone I know to never use uhaul. Who messes up and ends up making the customer that was inconvenienced pay$300 more. Criminal

The employees had not tried to get me back my refund for returning my u-haul earlier.(from 3 days to 1 day). Which I booked while not understanding how long it would take to get to the location, which even the people in Brookyln did not know how long it would take to get from brooklyn to niagara. I should get the money back from the 2 days extra. And the employees did not try to help me understand why I must pay for 3 days rent when I only used one day. They simply refused.

A companies strongest assets are it's employees and the staff at both locations were fantastic. The staff at Niagara falls were especially helpful in helping me . Great experience.

The store was clean and the products that i was looking for were easily found. The 24' truck that I rented was clean. The cab was clean but had an unpleasant smell. The mechanics of the truck failed to impress as the battery died after 15 mins with the flashers on, the truck slipped out of gear ( drive to neutral) a few times. The transmission seemed to slam when going from a stop position to moving forward. Just a rough truck with over 180,000 miles on it. The staff that I dealt with were very professional and compensated me for the condition of the truck. I would recommend this location to my friends.

The service as a whole was terrible. I requested to pick up a truck at a different location. I received a confirmation phone call and email the morning before I was supposed to pick the truck up. When I arrived the truck wasn't at said location. I had to drive to the falls where I found only one employee working. The line was out the door and it took forever. I give the employee credit. She was busting her butt trying to move things along so u have no complaints with her. She deserves a raise. After I got the truck to my loading location and packed up the battery was dead. No one answered the phone call I made to roadside assistance and no one answered the phone at the military rd location. I had to ask a stranger for a jump then I was on my way. Overall. It was a terrible experience and I might use Penske the next time I need to move myself or someone else.

this is the worst experience ive ever had with any tansport.first they said they would not charge me till i picked it up.i got there and they had allready charged me then when i broughht it back they said they would send me confornation on the drop off.then when i get the conformation they charged me double now i had to spend anhour on the phone to get it staightend around.now im so upset that i cant even think about using them ever again.please dont use these people they are very unprofessinal

Vehicle had an odd odor inside. Could have been the cleaning solution used. I was originally given a price of about $35 for the rental of this vehicle. I don't understand the up charge. I could have had the items delivered by the store for about the same price I paid Uhaul, including loading and unloading the heavy merchandise, which we had to do ourselves..

Plan at least a hour for pick-up. It took us longer than that, but I was totally NOT expecting that since I did pre-check in online. They seem to be extremely understaffed with a long line up of customers waiting in frustration. BUT they were polite and helpful once I did have them focused on ME. Awesome job handling the stress of very angry customers that were in front of me. Well done.

First, the store was 15 minutes late to open. Then once it was opened, there was only one employee. Three additional employees showed up, but that did not seem to speed things up. I was at the store at 8:50am and did not get the truck I had reserved until 10:30am. I will never rent from this location or any other U-Haul again, and I will certainly make sure that I tell my friends and family about the experience. My experience would receive a 0 on a scale of 1-10. The poor customer service ruined it entirely for me.

Adopt a policy of renting the trucks out with full tanks only. Because, When you take the truck with a partial tank, It gets aggrivating trying to replace the right amount of gas. You get worried that you didn't replace enough, and then more aggrivated if you put in too much. Picking it up full, and when done leaving it full, is the simplest formula !

it was very helpful that you let us pick up the truck a day early since the pick up was quite far from the moving location
