Had contracted a 14' truck but had to settle for a 26' truck which was too big and ended up costing about $40 more in gas. This was unexpected aditional cost.

We went to pick up our trailer that was reserved a approx. a week and a half in advance. When we arrived we were told that the trailer arrived back broken so we were given a smaller trailer....if we wanted a smaller trailer we would have asked for it in the first place. The solution that was given was to driver to another location approx. 35mins away. Problem was...it was 16:40, they closed at 17:00, we would have had to beat our way through two cities rush hour traffic to TRY to make it in time....NOT going to happen as the pick up point is a summer mecca for vacationers, campers and summer cottage goers. We took the smaller trailer but then called the store to see what could be done for us as as this trailer was NOT going to work. We were offered a truck with $10.00 off......REALLY. We still would have to put gas in it and pay the miles travelled. When I questioned once again how long the trailer we reserved had been broken we were advised (this time) 3 days. When I asked why we were not contacted to be advised of this we were told "someone called as the reservation was changed" When we advised that we were NOT contacted at anytime there was just silence and then we were told, "well, I don't know"....stellar service. We ended up speaking with the Dartmouth call center....no apology....to which I was advised that all she could do was take $10.00 off the truck. When we were not happy with that offer the CSR advised that she could give me the miles at .40cents. We advised that if we had a trailer we would not be paying anything for miles. We were then told "that is all I can do".....again stellar customer service. We asked to speak with a supervisor to which we were told " there are none here, they all leave at 17:00". When we asked for the supervisors name we were given his first name....NOTHING else....not allowed to give his last name, does not have a phone number or e-mail and is not back in until Monday....again stellar customer service. The CSR made notes for the discount on the cost of the truck and .40cents for the miles in case we did decide to take the truck. We did take the truck as we needed the space to move what we needed to move and without the space it was a potential loss of approx. $2000.00-$2500.00....NOT GOOD. When we went back into the store to switch he SMALL trailer for the truck, we asked yet again when the trailer came in broken....this time we were told 2 days ago. When we questioned it an that there was not contact made so that we could get a trailer at the other location the clerk turned quite snappy and short with us. We told him that was fine we will deal with it on Monday when we call the Dartmouth call center. When we dropped off the trailer and looked at the receipt when we arrived back home we were charged .43cents a mile....once again STELLAR customer service. We am hoping that this will get someone's attention but we are not holding our breathe. We are VERY disappointed with all that happene

The gentleman who served me at the counter was very kind but there was a huge lineup and his manager (who was supposedly very busy in his office) didn't have time to help him or the customers. In my opinion, you need customers to have office work. He should have helped instead of making people wait beyond 30 minutes (not an exaggeration). Also the kid checking the trucks (Cody or Cory) walked in, announced that it was a horrible day and gave all the customers bad attitude. Either way, I need a moving truck in a couple weeks again and I will be going to a different location.

The rental location that I booked the equipment at ended up not having it for me on the date of the booking, although I did initially receive a confirmation that it would be. This caused a significant inconvenience having to travel 80km round trip to pick up my rental. If it cannot be certain that the equipment needed will be available on the booking date at a desired location, the reservation should not confirmed.

I gave this location an average score as it was undermannedd and roger who was behind the counter had worked a 12 hr shift. kept making mistakes with varying customers and the other worker just watched on. too bad there isnt cross training at this location. took almost an hour before getting my refund for overpayment. this was at 7pm on a friday night. just a confusing and frustrating night had by all. Roger tried to do his best but was odviously was spent.

Horrible experience. Dirty truck, inside and out. Windshield full of bugs, dash completely covered in dust, multiple layers, so hasn't been wiped down in weeks, cigarette ashes in the ashtray, and stunk. Was told there would be a dolly and blankets in the back, there were none. Broken lift door. Gas was 7/8 full when I picked up the truck. I brought "Cody" over to show him and his response was " we consider that full and it can be a hair off". I told him I was bringing it back at 7/8ths full.

From the online booking process to the service in store the service I received was terrible.Due to a location error in booking I ended up paying 250 dollars to move only 15 minutes away.

Good experience overall. Rented a truck for an "in town" move, but when i got there, the person at the desk said the reservation centre had used a "one way" truck for my reservation. Apparently it's different in his system, but it shouldn't be my problem. He ended up giving me the next size up for same price, so i left happy.

I am very dissatisfied with the service I rec'd from the manager at that location. They misrepresented the gas level causing me to pay $75 for gas for 27km. I brought it to the manager attention and he blamed me. We stood and discussed it over and over again until I just got fed up and left. I told him I would contact U-Haul head office and his comment was " go ahead, they won't do anything" I work in the customer service industry and have never gotten as poor of service as I did at the Main St. location. Would not recommend to anyone

The Crew here, are wonderful especially Brandon, a great guy to talk with, to ask questions , if he didn't have the answer HE WOULD FIND IT. Brian the manager was very nice and l enjoyed making them all laugh!

I was told on the phone that I should use the auto transport instead of the tow dolly for my civic. When i started driving my car on it. The rear of my car scraped the pavement. They didn't warn me it would do that. And then has i was ready to open my door. The guys didn't warn me that I wouldn't be able to open my door without hitting it against the frame of the auto transport which scatched my door. I had to get out from my window. Then the guys told me I was responsible to attach my own car which I had no idea how to do. Nobody had told me that on the phone also. When i started the truck this morning to go unpack the u-haul. The transmission was slipping. So I had to figure out how to drive it the manuel way. When I got to the Petit-Rocher location. The guy there was more than helpful. We checked the transmission oil and it was empty. So he gave me some fluid. A really bad experience all together.

Understaffed...the gentleman was working alone on desk as well as pulling up trucks & supplies for customers while a long lime of customers waited...frustrating for everyone involved. Parking was also very challenging congested lot barely able to turn one car around.

The line was HUGE. We waited for at least 45 minutes. I came back the next day to receive my $20 deposit and the line was even longer than the day before. I didn't have all day to wait, so I ended up having to leave and did not get my money back. There were 2 people working at the counter the day I went to pick up my truck. Service was entirely too slow. Also, the lot is full of trucks parked every which way with no clear place for trucks to be kept vs. customers to park while they are making arrangements. Disorganized throughout.
