Trailer was pretty dirty with salt spray from winter roads. Realize it is difficult to keep trailers clean in the winter, but this one was really dirty.

Uhaul has horrible communication, this was the worse experience I have eceer had during a move. Because of uhaul I have had to spend more money than planned. Nothing about this experience makes me ever want to use Uhaul or recommend them to anyone

A bunch of kids were running the store. The truck was full of broken glass. The truck was given to me on empty even though the ticket read over 1/4 of a tank. I drove to and called this location about a truck around 11 30 in the morning. I was informed one was not available. I turned around and went home. On my way back I called the uhaul 1-800 number and they said that yes in fact there was one available at that location. After getting transfered twice I confirmed the pick up time. They gave me a pick up time of noon. (It was 1:30pm by this time.) I will spend the extra money for another service the next time I move. You get what you pay for I suppose

Hello, I have little confidence this will make a difference but the inflexibility and indifference towards customers at your Columbia, MO location is disappointing. I was there at 4:20 to pick up a trailer that was reserved at 5:00 (they had two sitting on the lot unused during the day). They told me if I picked it up then it would be do back at 4 instead of 5 the next day. I wasn't sure I could make it back by then and they said it would be another day of rental if I didn't. I had no choice but to come back 40 minutes later. That is form over substance and managers at the location should be empowered to make an immaterial exception like that. I've done it at rental car companies all the time - they just don't sweat it if it is under an hour over. More disappointing was the fact that I told them I only used them when I couldn't rent from a competitor in town and he encouraged me to do so instead of addressing my concerns and trying to earn my business. I have used U-Haul 5 different times in the last two months moving my mother, sister, and some things myself at stores in Boston, Branson, St. Louis, and Columbia. I will do my best to only use the store in Columbia if I have no other choice and cannot find what I need at a competitor. So disappointing . . . Paul

Might use more people there. They are working pretty hard but seem a bit overworked.

BETTE W. on 2/9/2015

Location is in a marginal part of town. Sometimes it is scary returning equipment after hours. Improved security would be a good idea; maybe a security gate and fencing.

Employees were friendly and quickly helped us unhook the trailer and get on our way.

I was directly told the fee would be right around 50 dollars for the overall trip; also, that was claimed to be the max fee and that if I drove a certain amount of miles, it would be less than that. However, the fee is now coming to over 70, which was completely misleading.

First make sure reservations listen. They didn't make the reservation for the correct pickup location. We got that corrected then they didn't have the correct equipment listed. If I hadn't called to confirm the size of the ball on the equipment we'd have been screwed. Instead after asking to speak to management they finally gave us the correct equipment but the price was $10 more than quoted. We then had to buy an adapter because almost all standard towing lights are 7 prong but of course uhaul has 4 prong and will gladly sell you the $14 adapter. This will be the last time we use uhaul.

The store computer,.and cell phone he used to retrieve info on my rental were both slow, and made for a longer wait time. They were nice, but not too personable, or professional.

Never again! First time - last time. Will never recommend! Should have done business with Penske where I received great service AND the vehicle I requested at the location I requested

second time rented a truck in the last 3 months. Both times, it stalled at the pick up site. With tow hired crew on the clock, I called UHaul road side assistance and got an ETA of 1.5 hours. Disgusted, I paid my own money and had it jump started in 20 minutes. 2 for 2!! The manager did give me a $20 discount, but only after I raised a ruckus.
