Not sure how to get the equipment about to be rented next to the office, to minimize the check-out time. The trailer was dropped off next to the office so the return part of the rental was accomplished in minimal time. This is the second time we've rented a trailer from this location (convenient to our volunteer work site); advance check-in helped expedite the process this time. It's a much more professional operation than a closer location on Independence Avenue, so we'll be back to 1520 Locust each time we need to rent a trailer.

Andy Baker checked me out was extremely rude, he asked me to put the truck in reverse went to the back of the truck and then told me to back and park. When I did so he claimed that I tried to run him over. When I tried to explain my situation to his General Manager Amanda Yaeger, she was rude and left nasty comments in the complaint system when I asked her for the corporate office phone number.

There were 2 people at this location. One of them was good to deal with. The other was not. I will take any future truck renting to your competitors. I do not know what it will be like to do business with them, but I suspect that you have set the bar very low.

One of my blinkers for the trailor was not working but it was working on the truck. I thought if worked on the truck it should work on the trailor. Not the case and I did not know that, and know I do. I had a fuse out for the trailor signal light. They traced it down and replaced the fuse.

Pick up was fine. But... My dealings began with your Troost location. My mother rented a 15' truck for what she was told would be sufficient for a two bedroom unit. We picked up the vehicle with a half tank of gas. On my way to my mom's condo I went ahead and filled the truck up as we were taking it to Springfield. We subsequently determined that 15' would not be sufficient and called to request a 20' which they did not have so we brought the truck back and reserved a truck at the Locust location. While I didn't expect a refund of the $50 for the gas I put in the vehicle I returned, I certainly didn't expect to pay $50 for the 10 miles and VERY brief use of the truck. The manager showed no discretion to waive the charges so I paid it and moved on. There are plenty of options in your industry when it comes to moving and hauling and I will not be using Uhaul in the future. Your manager should have waived all charges for essentially 20 minutes worth of use, never mind the gas I put in the truck. Uhaul was better off when I left the truck than before so consider it severance. Yes perhaps I should have known the size of the truck required for the job ahead of time. But Uhaul was more than compensated by getting back the truck with a full tank of gas. This is where common sense kicks in. It's unfortunate she (short blonde hair, possibly the mgr) used poor judgment in customer service and lost a customer. I won't be back.

While I had a great experience at the U-Haul location, I was charged for services that I did not use and for a rental period that I also did not use. I was charged for using the furniture pads and the dolly (neither of which I could have used, as I didn't have scissors to break the seal on these items) and I was charged for returning the truck at 8:30 the following morning (9/9), when in reality I turned in the truck and dropped off the keys closer to 9:00 p.m. the night before (9/8). I am very irritated for these charges – the cost of this simple rental went from approximately $50 to $130. This experience has left me weary of U-Haul and the system in place to ensure customers aren't taken advantage of. These are things I hadn't thought of before, and I'm disappointed that being overcharged is another thing I need to worry about with U-Haul.

Love the new cargo vans. The staff seems so proud of them and the one I rented was much more comfortable to drive than the previous version. This is my favorite location to rent from. Very convenient when I'm picking up furniture or helping my children move to their dorm or first apartment. Thanks for a great experience. I enjoy the staff. Great attitudes and demeanor when I'm there. Kudos!

When I arrived I had to correct the math on the mileage several times for the guy checking me in. He could seem to grasp that I had 3 miles to spare plus the 20 additional miles that showed on the contract. After 10 mins of explaining basic subtraction to this young man a outside supervisor came over and showed him what he was doing wrong on the app.

Upon my arrival I was informed that I could only keep truck til 7am next morning. I told employee I was picking up at this time (5pm) because I needed vehicle at 7am first thing to move and they were not open. He informed me my online reservation only stated 8 hour rental. I was very upset because I told him that wasnt going to work, I needed truck all day. If I am renting for $39.99 day, I should be allowed to keep truck for 24 hours. I informed him to start calling other locations. He stated he didnt have there numbers and not sure they would have a truck. Im certain he sensed my anger and disappointment and eventually agreed to allow me to return the vehicle at noon. This helped a bit. I would like to state that I was very rushed during the move trying to get the truck back in a short amount of time. I could not utilize the truck the night before due to work. I used the truck from 7-11 and the last hour driving and cleaning the truck to be back at 5pm. The added 5 hours to use the truck as my contract was paid for would be only fair. I will probably have to rent a box truck again to complete my move regarding numerous small items. I dont think I could recommend your company due to such a glitch regarding a reservation and the time allowed within a contract. If I am paying for $39.99 a day, I should keep the vehicle for 24 hours. If not, there should be an hourly rate or some refund for returning the vehicle early. The facility was nice and clean, well organized; but the gentleman who greeted me at front desk (long dark ponytail hair and glasses/white male) was lesss than cordial. Kevin White.

I noticed at the end of the trip (when unloading the SUV and disconnecting auto transport) that Strap on one of the front tires came off hanging inside over the electrical wiring etc. Looks like It was not tightened enough. Not sure if it caused any damage to my SUV. Should I take my SUV to any specific auto shop to check it out?

My experience at this Locust location was acceptable. However, the PLACE where I CALLED and thought I had reserved my truck was 1 mile from my house. After a 2 hour runaround I finally found out where the truck was, no where NEAR my home. No ONE EVER told me, oh by the way you called HERE but the truck is THERE. I will NEVER EVER USE U - HAUL AGAIN. The tipping point was when the owner in Gladstone, MO on N. Broadway said and I quote, " Mr. Parrish, Shit in one hand and wish in the other hand, and see which one gets filled up first." ( I have witnesses ) A punk smart ass named Neil Rose. You should jerk his Franchise. He is an absolute ASS!! and God forbid, but he is the Owner.

The gas gauge didnt work so I feel like I was over charged for the gas and mileage for a truck where the gauges didnt work.
