Only one concern. I rented a small trailer, one or the employees hooked everything up. On my way home the hitch was making a lot of noise. I pulled over and double checked everything and the adjustment screw that clamps down on the ball was never tightened. I could pick the trailer off the ball of my vehicle. That could have been a hugh problem if there was some kind of accident. Might want to do some more training.

The trailer bed contained pieces of a broken mirror and other debris which should have been cleaned out.

Pickup was in good condition but the inside was very dirty and dusty. Overall everything was fine. Good customer service from this location as usual.

I was not warned of possible damage to my vehicle in taking it off the tow dolly and over $700 in damage was done when my bumper got caught on the rings attaching the wheel straps to the dolly. The dolly was approved for my 2003 cadillac Deville, but UHaul would not help pay for the damage. There was no carelessness on my part whatsoever!

I started to drop this trailer at a different U-Haul center in the same metropolitan area and was quoted a drop charge of $168 (roughly) over and above the rental charge. For that kind of money, I drove the trailer back to the original leasing location. For less than that, I could spend all day moving your trailers around in this area. My minivan is now equipped with a suitable trailer hitch, and towing one trailer loaded with car dollies would not be a problem for it. I'd use one of your trucks again, but the last time I rented a truck I got charged 90 cents per mile plus the rental charges.

Agent (Viinie?) Was great. He gave me a brand new truck for our rental and took care of a couple other needs I had and I didn't even have a reservation. He was really efficient and helpful while there were many other customers there.

1. Mirror on passenger side was loose and would not stay in position when the smallest bump was encountered. Upon arrival at home, I was able to tighten with an allen wrench in less than one minute. This created a dangerous situation when we could not see on the passenger side of the vehicle. Should check this prior to renting vehicles. 2. UHaul was able to rent us a truck after our Budget rental had no trucks to cover the reservation I had made one month in advance. I will certainly consider UHaul for our next rental even though the cost is more than Budget. 3. We were told verbally that we would be charged 29 cents per mile for any extra miles. I remember this because we said an extra hundred miles would be about $30. Upon returning the vehicle, we were charged 40 cents per mile as that is what was shown on the rental agreement and after over a dozen tries (by me, by the UHaul office and by the UHaul central reservation office) no one would answer the phone at the Mesa location.

I am supremely unhappy that I was charged $50 extra and then you send me a check with the refund. Why couldn't I go in and get cash back or it be refunded to my card? Just an unnecessary inconvenience. I called customer care early this am and the rep said she would have the store call me. Super shockingly, didn't happen so I called again and that rep at least took the time to find out what was going on but the check had been cut already. I feel like I've gone back in time ten years.

I made reservations 2 weeks in advance for a 10x10 first floor storage unit. I was emailed a receipt confirming the reservation and all the specifics. Upon arrival, the same employee who made the reservation told me that they had given the unit to someone else and that there were no more 10x10 units available on the first floor. The options offered were either a unit on the 2nd floor for the same price or a larger unit on the first floor which would cost more. I declined both options as neither one fit my reservation. A phone call to the general manager yielded the same options. I suggested they give me the larger unit for the same price as my original reservation, to which they declined. Finally they offered me two 5x10 first floor units that are side by side, which of course ends up being the same amount of storage space, and a free lock to secure the second unit. I accepted this proposal because a truck full of furniture and boxes needed to go somewhere, and it was the same total space and price. Ironically, the customer behind me in line had made a reservation exactly like mine and his had also been given to someone else. 2 customers in a row with the same problem. It also turned a 5 minute check-in procedure into a 45 minute ordeal ending with frustrated customers and flustered staff. While Uhaul may find this to be an acceptable business practice, I do not. Some may say this isn't a big deal because the end result was the same, but I disagree based on principle alone. Do not promise one thing, and then deliver something else. Either make good on your reservations and abide by them, or don't make them at all. After a whole day of moving and driving in from out of town, this was simply unnecessary aggravation.

The only aspect of UHaul rental I really did not tlike is the insurance option. Uhaul now asks for an immediate pay for damages from the user instead of going to the users insurance. Who says what the damage is? UHaul? My Insurance Co? This seems like an illegal practice and may stop me from using UHaul in the future. RB

I was not informed that where I had to take the trailer back had changed. I was told of two places and one didn't even exist. Better communication would be nice.
