There was no one to help me hookup trailer . Was sent to their yard from their office. Had to move another trailer by myself to get the trailer out i rented. They should be helping people with the actual hooking up of trailers and checking befire they go down thr road. Lucky for me i tow trailer all the time but others might not have that experience.

There is no room at this location to pick up or drop off equipment - it is a storefront only. Was directed to the actual storage lot several blocks away. Fortunately I was familiar with Nanaimo - but I still missed the lot entrance the first time and had to circle the block.

We were very happy to deal with Keeran at this location. She made pick-up easy and quick and was very nice. Unfortunately after talking to another woman there over the phone the next day I didn't feel the same. I had asked if it was possible to bring the truck back a couple hours late because I was a little behind (I called a couple hours before I was supposed to bring it back). Previously I have gotten a free day with a truck if there's no reservation on it, and this is what she offered me. She said there was no reservation for it that evening so if I want I could even bring it back the next day. She forgot to inform me that if I kept the truck I would be charged an extra day, she made it sound as if it was complimentary. If I had been told I would be charged another day, I would've hauled ass and gotten that truck back on time that day. But the next day I was charged double what I was supposed to because of the "extension". When I called customer service to ask if I could be reimbursed because of the mix up, they were very rude and refused to let me speak to anyone else about it, she just kept repeating that the charges stand up because I requested an "extension." I was very impressed with the Practicar location itself but I won't be using Uhaul again as something goes wrong every time on their end. They're normally very good about giving $50 back if someone is unhappy but that wasn't the case this time. It's unfortunate as I've used the company 4 times in the past 2 years as I move around the island a lot.

Had to drive from office to a lot to pick up truck. the light in the box was not working. made it hard to finish unpacking....it was dark out. Not a real bad experience the owner was a really nice guy.

Inconvenient to have office and truck storage at different locations. I would prefer a less convenient location that had the office together. Ex: the north end location.

Staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Slightly difficult to navigate crowded lot, but lot attendant parked for me on return.

The service people were high strung and irritable. The trailer needed to be swept when we got there and one of the lights didnt work.

Keerran Sims at this location did her best to see that things were made right. She could see how annoyed we were with the following; this location has no parking; we had to park in a neighboring business lot. it is a dangerous location to get in and out of; the trucks are stored at a different location; Everything was made considerably more difficult than what it should be. The only positive part was thanks to Keerran working so hard to attempt to please us. If you wish to improve your business, put the office and trucks on the same property in a location where one can get in and out of the property safely and have room for your clients to leave their vehicle.

I had to pick up the dolly in an unattended location and found later that half of the lighting would not work. Not an advisable location.
