The cab and box were clean. The windshield had film on the inside and outside. The wipers were worn. The front quarter panel were bent, so the doors clipped the sheet metal. We had to call for assistance when the A/C and wipers would not work, all due to the key being turned around. Too strange to comment further.

Reps were too slow to assist the customer. I did the pre-checkout, but still i had to wait for 20-25 mins. After that condition of the truck that I received was really bad. Many times while driving on the freeway I thought that it might break down any minute. Which I felt very unsafe.

PROFESSIONALISM!, goes a long way. 1. Help the employees know how they behave or carry themselves personally or privately should not blend or be smudge in a professional atmosphere. 2. Articulate and language (slang and profane) use is paramount. 3. Uniform ( presentable) 4. Respect for the costumer should never be relaxed. Change the atmosphere of thiis storeTelegraph/9mile in Southfield it is too relaxed, casual and dare I say ghetto.

I returned my vehicle when promised (after hours drop-off). I called the next day (am) to ask where is my e-mail receipt, he said they would be getting to it shortly and would call me on my cell phone. I received the voice mail at 7:00pm to bring the vehicle in by 7:00am. I tried to call back and they were closed. I stopped in the next day at 7:00am to find out where the vehicle was, there it was in the lot and they had not checked it in yet. So I had to go out of my way to make sure the vehicle would be check-in and I would not be held accountable for a late turn-in.

Service at pickup counter was slow and unimpressive. The individual handling pickup was uncommunicative and seemed not to be concerned with customer service. The truck had over 123,000 miles and had slow pickup. Worst of all was being asked to sign an agreement that the truck had 3/4 a tank of gas. I insisted on checking the fuel gage, and found the gas gauge read 1/2 full. I pointed this out to the guy helping me. He didn't change his expression and said he'd change the contract, so we had to start over. I asked him to get a manager to help. He said his manager was not in, but I could wait a hour for the manager to show up. He made no effort to identify my concern, offer an alternative solution including getting another manager. Finally, an employee who watched our interaction offered to get her manager. The manager was prompt and resolved my concern in a caring and professional manner. My experience was not good. I wasn't impressed with the length of time it took to get the truck I reserved the night before.

I was very happy with the service and staff at the Southfield location. My issue with U-Haul is that they were not able to honor my reservation from a different location. I had to reschedule my pick-up time (later in the day) and location because my trailer was not going to be available. This was a burden to me as I already had people scheduled to help with the move. I received differing responses as to why the trailer would not be available and I don't believe I was told the truth. I will give U-Haul credit as they did honor their $50 guarantee and gave me this amount because they couldn't honor their reservation.

Very helpful advocate at the front desk lady was very helpful and ensured my needs were met. I do have a concern with particular representative working that was checking in vehicles was very rude and short while checking in vehicle due to it being 5p.m and location was closing.

Properly schedule rentals. We waited for almost an hour (past our 1pm pick up) for someone to return a truck. That person never showed so they used one that was on the lot. Why didn't they so that initially? Why didn't they offer some type of discount for the inconvenience? I feel as though we should get one.

When customers call to confirm their reservations or to inquire about the service or cost please ask questions about what they are moving to ensure that they receive the items that they need a or have the right size truck. I came in yesterday to pickup and found out their was no dolly on the truck so I had to obtain a larger truck, I am glad they had one because I had to be out of the old residence by Saturday. The representatives in the store showed my husband and I how the truck to ensure that we would be comfortable with driving it. So everything worked fine and thank you. Service was great. The trucks' blinker handle kept falling off while I was driving. Yes, that's the same handle that controls the windshield wipers so those were not operational. Also had fuel gage issues. On the plus side there were no issues with the staff.
