Not much I can see. They hustled so nobody had to wait more than a few moments and continually acknowledged people as they came in the door. They had great attitudes and were profession. I love this location.

I reserved a 20' truck to move my family from our 3 bed home for two days. I also reserved 24 furniture pads - 2 box carts and 1 refrigerator dolly cart. I received a call from Micheal Estrada (General Manager)two days prior to our move inquiring what I was using the truck for and why I needed the truck for two days? I felt like I was being interrogated. I explained that it normally takes us two days to move and that I had never be questioned by U-Haul the numerous times we have used their trucks in the past. He proceeded to to me that weekends were their busiest times and that most people only take 10 hours to move a 3 bedroom house and that he did not understand why we needed two days. I asked him why U-Haul never questioned my 2 day rental when I made the reservation and that calling me two days before my reservation date trying to convince me that I only needed a 1 day rental was unacceptable! He begrudgingly said he would honor the reservation. When I went to pick up the truck on Friday morning Michael handed my order and once again mentioned if I really needed the truck for 2 days and also wanted to know why I needed 2 box dollies and an appliance dolly. He said that I could use the appliance dolly for boxes and than only need 1 box dolly. I walked over to the appliance dolly and pointed out the 3" tongue which would damage boxes compared to a box dolly that has a 10" tongue designed for boxes! Once again he reluctantly rented me what I ordered. The move went smoothly with a great reliable Truck and the proper dollies and pads. We hired 3 movers helpers through U-Haul from Budget Movers in Tucson and Eddie and his crew knocked it out of the park on day 2 by loading and unloading two trips in 6 hours??! I am disabled and they truly were remarkable in every possible way. I love U-Haul products, especially the movers helpers but I would never go to the store on Speedway and Craycroft and I would never do business with the manager Michael Estrada again!

Very unclear on rental rates. One guy said one thing when we made the reservation. Then when we picked up the rental what was told to us was completely different. Was double charged because of this. Rude customer service.

It should never take 3 to 5 working days to settle a bill for services (equipment rental) rendered. I was charged a $75.00 security fee and upon returning the truck was told that that $75.00 would remain as a debit to my banking account and that I would be credited for the difference between that and the actual charge ($39.07) in 3 to 5 business days. Because I rented the truck on a Wednesday, that means I remain overcharged for a full week! Completely unacceptable.

Don't have customers waiting outside for 25-30 min telling them you'll be outside once you're done cleaning only to tell them when they ask why you're leaving and walking past them - Store is closed, just leave the keys in the drop box. There were 2 more customers aside from myself all waiting outside. That's 3 customers that could have already left and been on their way instead of wasting time. I know I personally didn't appreciate that day walking home in the thunderstorm because I was sticking around waiting as I was told to do, if I could have left that 25-30 min earlier I would have already been home safely. In summation, don't tell customers one thing and do another. If you make a mistake, actually apologize and don't make excuses.

The young kid did not understand that we dropped of the transport the day before and kept questioning why we had two contracts. He could not put two and two together on this one.

I had a new trailer hitch installed on my vehicle and after I got home I found a panel was removed from under the car and I was not told about it or offered up front options for this piece. I left town the next morning before the place opened up so couldn't ask them about it. I drove back to California hearing a rattle from under the car that I later found out was the loose muffler that was not reinstalled properly. I am not pleased with the Tucson operation on Speedway Blvd. I am impressed with the Vacaville, CA U-Haul operation on Monte Vista Street. They got the new bolt kit and reinstalled the panel the way it was supposed to fit and reattached my muffler properly. I am very pleased with Desirae Coello and her staff with the way they treated me and my car.

Everyone was lovely from our phone conversation with Lee to book the rental 5 minutes before we picked up the truck(which by the way it was ready when we arrived) to Gilberto friendly and efficient service at the store. Excellent service and efficient!

Returned the trailer on Thursday, it seems the trailer was never login. As of today, when I had not received a receipt, I called the local number and they indicated that the contract was still open. I actually had to return to the lot and I found on the lot trailer on the lot.... The contract was finally closed 48 after I had returned the trailer.

I purchased the add-on for a dolly and pads. The employee told me to wait while he went and gathered those itmes. When he came back inside, he told me which U-haul truck was mine. I went out, got in the truck and left. Unfortunately, the dolly and pads were never loaded into the truck. I think great customer service would mean the employee would load those items into the truck and not make the customer do it themselves. Even if he couldn't load the items, he should have at least told me I would have to load it myself and where to find the stuff. Anyway, I called and was able to come back and pick up the items, which I did in my personal truck (the agent did say they would not charge me for additional mileage on the u-haul, but it was easier to come back in my truck). Other than that I was not given any discount or refund for my loss of time. Aside from that, the truck was very nice and everything else went smoothly.

My return experience was not pleasant, the clerk that checked in the returned vehicle neglected to inform my husband that we were being charged for a complete additional day on the vehicle and hand truck because we were 25 minutes late. This amounted to an almost additional $35 for 25 minutes. When my husband asked for a receipt, she gave him a copy of the original receipt when we rented the truck and the totals did not reflect the actual cost for the returned vehicle. When I went into the store for clarification on the charges another clerk corrected the invoice and provided the actual charges. We felt that if we were going to be charged an additional day for being late this information should have been disclosed to us upon the return of the vehicle. This was unethical and had we not questioned the receipt we would have been stuck with the additional charge.

It was the whole experience, not just the location that was a huge disappointment. The original pick up location was at Golf Links, and about 20 minutes before pickup time I received a text that the location was changed to Speedway. My son had already driven an hour and was in the parking lot when I found the message and had to let him know of the change. If I had been informed the day BEFORE the pick was scheduled it would not have been an issue. We did receive some compensation by not being charged for the pads and dolly, which was appreciated. Your message on the phone is "In order to keep our promise to you we are recording this call". You may want to change that since your promise to have my rental at that location was not kept and due to having to go to another location, which delayed our getting started by over an hour, in AZ heat that is not any fun. Then each time I attempted to contact the Speedway location it was either busy or would ring then disconnect. Took me 20 minutes to reach someone to assure THEY had my truck. I found out it was picked up, but they had the name and phone number of the person to did pick it up wrong. So, I was concerned maybe they gave my rental to someone else. The whole experience was a pain and a disappointment. If your locations are so busy you may want to hire more staff. And when a reservation is made it needs to be kept. It should have been U-Haul's responsibility to have my rental at the pick up location indicated on my reservation confirmation, and if you weren't going to have it, let me know 24 hours sooner or have a U-Haul employee get a truck from another location to be sure it was available at the location requested.
