This is regarding my U-Haul Contract 99328994. I rented a 14 inch truck, third time in 3 months on Sunday. I went to the Virginia Beach location and rented the truck, paid took the keys and left at around 12 PM. I was in a rush and didn't inspect the gas level and trusted the associate who listed the gas level at half tank on the contract. I came to pick up the truck at 6 PM when the store was closed. I noticed the gas was little below half. I didn't really care. I drove 20 miles and before returning filled 8.5 gallons to make it half. The gauge didn't even move a bit. At that point I didn't add any more gas as 8.5 gallons was more than enough gas for 20 miles and dropped the truck and the Virginia Beach location. I had prior good experience with U-Haul and as a regular customer I didn't think it would be an issue. Next morning I received a bill and I was charged $ 15 for 3 gallons. I called the store and I was asked to contact the customer service. I called customer service and mentioned the issue and I was told someone will contact me in 3 business days. I got a call from a gentleman, well I should use the word gentle as not only he was rude but he was abusive. When explaining the situation he told me what do you want me to do? I asked him what can you do when a customer has this problem? He mentioned I put 3 gallons and the gauge went back to half. I asked him I can assure you I did add 8.5 gallons and the gauge didn't move a bit. He told me he couldn't do anything, asking his name he said, I don't need to know his name and hung up on me. The number he called me from was 757 499 1432. I am a consultant and use U-Haul very often, I will never go back to U-Haul again and share my issue in social media. And moreover I got to know the Virginia Beach location is a corporate location and someone from the corporate was this rude, so that explains the Company itself.

Nothing. Joe and Walt were excellent!!! It was a very busy time (Saturday of Labor Day weekend/ college move in) when I went in to pick up the truck. But, they it all under control and were very helpful and genuinely nice!

Your customer service reps need more training. I was treated very rudely when l asked for assistants. I have been renting trucks from u haul for the last 20 years. I had to drive and pay for 25 extra miles because she would no listen to what l was asking her. She was to busy stating that "your lucky you have a truck to use""so what if you have to drive extra miles we can't help that"what would you think if that was how someone spoke to you like that? Would like for you to reply.

if you're going to advertise For basically 20dollars then why can't it be 20 dollars 45 dollars to use 1 of your 8 foot bed trucks for An hour and half 45 dollars does that sound right then when I asked about reimburse any money I was told No reidiculous

We were completely satisfied with the customer service provided by the agent in the store and the vehicle was clean and the AC worked great. Overall it was a quick and easy process to make the reservation, pick up the truck, and return the truck. Very happy and will be definitely be using U-Haul in the future for our moving needs.

I've waited for 10 minutes and finally I was next when the first customer left. But the Sales Associate helped another customer instead. Picking up the truck, I first noticed the mileage was incorrect. I told the Sales Associate but I just got an attitude. Because I didn't accept their mileage that was written in on the contract. I didn't want to pay extra for someone's error. I refuse to return to the U-Haul store and I notified my friends about my experience.

Master order number: 98673658 The orgininal order was for a 4 x 8 covered trailer for (3)days, traveling from Virginia Beach, VA to Columbia, SC. The size was to small for the cargo so we changed the size to an 5 x 8 covered trailer. With the assumption that the person at the counter understood that the ONLY item that changed was the size of the trailer. Not the locations or the time required. Pickup day, the 5 X 8 covered is not available and would require me to travel 1 hour away to pickup one available. I have to got to hampton, VA for an uncovered trailer and risk the furniture being damaged. Thanks! Solution: LIST YOUR CURRENT INVENTORY ONLINE WITH A DATE STAMP ON WHEN IT WAS UPDATED, with the additional info on their individual status! That way everyone can see what you have at what location and how long can it be rented. Aparently, what you have now is NOT accurate.

Make sure what the customer orders online is what is given to the customer on the day of pick up. I ordered a 26 foot truck online and then got a phone call a few hours later that only a 24 foot truck would be available. The day before I am to pick up the truck I got a call stating only a 17 foot truck would be available. This inconvenienced me tremendously! I had to make 3 extra trips at $0.89 cents a mile that totaled to over 80 extra miles. This would not have been the case if I was given the the truck I reserved online. Not to mention I had to put in an extra $25.00 in gas because of the extra mileage and trips. I was moving a 4 bedroom house with a 17 foot truck. This move was to cost $80 + gas, but ended up costing me over $200 in just U-Haul rental and gas not to mention our additional time for the 3 extra trips. I am very unsatisfied with U-haul and will never you this company again. Not to mention that this company stated I owed a bill of $118 and could not rent a truck a few weeks earlier to clear out my storage unit. This was an error on U-haul that caused me inconvenience the first time. I also rented a storage unit for almost 3 years and your company stated I owed a bill for something that was an error. I had to bring in my bank statements and emails from 2 years ago to get this taken care of, again more inconvenience to me and my time was not compensated for.

I ordered a 14' truck, 2 furniture dollies, 1 pack of moving blankets and 1 appliance dolly online. Upon arrival I was told they did not have the blankets and only had one furniture dolly and that I had to go to the U-halul site on Virginia Beach Blvd for the other items. They did not give me any compensation for the additional mileage I had to travel nor the time/frustration. The other site was not pleased with renting these items to me in their place. I was VERY disappointed with this last minute change/burden put upon me for their inadequate supplies.

Please do not send your customers 40 miles out the way to pick up and return a uhaul when making a reservation in there local area to a uhaul center 2.3 miles from there home. If a uhaul will not be available for pick up in there local area or prefered uhaul center it should be told to the customer at time of reservation not by email later or day of pick up.
