This uhaul experience was bar none the worst I have ever had. I have used uhaul two other times over the past six years with better experiences. To start off the uhaul wasn't at the location I had requested to pick up which caused the first delays into getting the uhaul packed. I called twice to verify the truck would be available at the requested location and was reassured both times it would be there. Lucky I called the morning of as I was headed to pick it up and was told I would need to go to another location. When I picked up the 26' truck and auto transport my auto transport had been run into by another trailer while an employee was moving another customers order. The employees at this location documented the fuel levels, had me initial for the truck and transport and that was it. I didn't have to do a thorough run through over the truck and trailer like I always had done at my other uhaul experiences which stuck me as odd. After I had the uhaul loaded, the next morning we left to go on the move. When I filled the uhaul with gas I noticed that back passenger tire on the auto transport was 20 lbs. low on air. These tires didn't appear to be in the best shape either but I figured since uhaul new I was going to be moving from Ennis, TX to Amarillo that they would put me on the road with their safest and most reliable equipment. The truck and trailer were doing great until we were coming into Whichita Falls, TX, when the uhaul just died while driving. I pulled the truck over and got out to look a few things over got back into the truck and it started right up. I pulled over at the flying J truck stop and called uhaul. While I was on the phone with uhaul my passenger tried to call the uhaul of Whichita Falls and was rudely told to call roadside assistance. After a 30 minute wait for roadside assstence to call back, they gave me directions to that facility which was only about 4 miles away. After finding out the the uhaul there wasn't going to be able to help us out a contracted mechanic was called to look at our truck to see if he could help. An hour and a half later the mechanic that was located IN Whichita Falls (mind you) finally showed up. After looking over the truck for 45 min the mechanic determined that our fuel pump was bad and needed to be replaced. The mechanic talk to uhaul on and off again over the phone and eventually told us that uhaul decided to tow us the rest of the way to Amarillo. So after another hour and a half wait the tow truck showed up to tow us the rest of the way. While on the road with the tow truck we stopped at a truck stop so the man could check on his truck because of mechanical problems. We pulled over again in Quanah, TX so he could change his fuel filter. After getting back on the road 10 miles south of Memphis, TX the passenger side back tire (same tire that was 20 lbs low) blew out. After calling uhaul yet again for another equipment problem Uhaul told me it was going to be another 90 minute

It was quite an inconvenience having to return the van back to the same location which was way back in the opposite direction. But other than that it was ok.

1. Single employee overwelmed by customers around my scheduled appointment time resulted in me being delayed by 30+ minutes standing in line. 2. Multiple, Multiple errors from reservation center resulting in even further delay in completing pickup 3. Poor maintenence to racheting buckles for wheel "nets" resulting in very corroded and hard to manipulate mechanisms 4. No mounted winch on a car hauler? Very few and poorly placed suitable anchor points for personally provided hand winch

Truck was ready at the gate when I arrived to pick it up. Sales rep was very professional and answered all my questions. When I brought it back the return went smooth. Excellent place to do business, I'll be back.

The light in the back of the truck was not working. This made it extremely difficult to navigate as it was nighttime when I was utilizing the truck. We were moving heavy items and it created a serious safety hazard. This should be addressed.

There was some confusion as the MNGR told the employee to not take / receive auto carriers for some reason, although the turn-in address on the contract listed this location.... none-the-less the issue was worked out and they took the trailer... some delay / wasted time (30 min), but overall good service.
