Very nice and honest. He provided an itemized invoice that let me that I was overcharged. I also gave me the traffic contact info where I was able to obtain a credit on the overcharged fees.

Truck was dirty on the inside when we picked it up. It is the only location nearby, so I would recommend it on that alone, but if there was another choice I would not.

I was overcharged for fuel! Tank had less than 3/8 fuel and I was charged $130 for fuel. I did not recieve a readable contract due to "No Ink In Printer." Having only traveled 111 miles paying $130 for fuel is a bit on the steep side. Paying $2.16 a mile for the rental is a lot higher than the $.89 quoted.

Attendant was right there, unhooked the trailer, and ensured everything was O.K.

I returned the truck and the door was locked so I had to call him. He told me to walk right in and I told him the door was locked so he came to the dor and unlocked it. I proceeded to tell him the estimated miles for my trip were too low. I had used all my miles estimated (48) before I even got close to my distination. And I went the most direct route. My home is only 1 1/2 miles off the main highway (Hwy. 12) which means I would have consumed 3 miles extra plus to my first stop in Austin to the U-Haul warehouse (12317 Technology Blvd.) in Austin to empty my U-Box which was 5 miles each way. This means I consumed 13 miles of my own. 48+13=61 miles. The actual miles to the U-Haul facility in Wimberley (Shady Oaks) from the Austin pick-up point is closer to 63 miles (excluding my additional miles). I believe that I was not allowed for the actual distance between your two facilities. The actual location of the Wimberley, TX U-Haul facility is on the very out-skirts of town. This maybe part of the reason the distance is much further and the computer doesn't take that into consideration. When I explained that to the drop-off person, he just said the computer just figures it from city to city. He said he couldn't do anything about it. The actual distance is computed by the computer and that's the way it is. He then asked me if I filled the truck with fuel to the same level as I received it and I told him yes. He said if there was any problems with too low of fuel, there would be a $30 service charge plus a $4 per gallon charge. That's when I asked him to go out and check the level himself so there wouldn't be any misunderstanding of the fuel level and he said he would do that later. He said I could go. I left that establishment very uneasy not knowing what I would be charged. When I got home, I called the pick-up person in Austin (Lonnie Meador) and told him what happened and he said that the drop-off facility should have come out and looked at the truck and level of fuel besides worked with me on the travel distance. I've rented equipment from your company in the past and never had this experience before. The personnel had been very professional.

Despite having filled out everything online ahead of time, it took nearly an hour for the clerk to get my truck contract ready. Although I returned the truck within the time allotted for rental, I was charged an additional day's fees. It took nearly 3 weeks and numerous calls to get the issue resolved. I would not use this location again. Recommend having better trained personnel to check-out & check-in trucks/customers.
