The attendant was not friendly and lacked in communication abilities; was gruff with my wife and short worded in answering specific and appropriate related questions. He stated to her that the work involved to place the hitch was somewhere between 1 1/2 to 2 hours, and that there were things to do close by, if she elected to. She and our granddaughter then went to a hamburger place across the street to eat and bide the time. Within a half hour from her dropping off our Element, I received a phone call @ my office from that attendant, explaining that the Element was ready. I phoned my wife immediately @ the hamburger place. She was surprised as I was, that they had finished the work so fast, but glad it was ready. She then went over, paid and picked up our Element. The work was great! The question remains, why we were overcharged for the QUICK CONNECT .80 of an hour, when all the work was actually done within .50 of an hour? Unfortunately, I had not gotten around to scrutinizing the bill until today, when I was preparing certain documents for our accountant. This is when I noticed the discrepancy. I phoned the Mgr., Jeff Kimble, from that store this AM and he stated that this should have been brought to their attention @ that time, inferring that nothing could be done about it anymore. I explained to him I was not able to get away from my work @ the time and had sent my wife instead. Too, that if I had, I would have brought this up immediately for matters of clarity andor justification. I also informed him about the gruff attendant. He stated he would discuss this with him when he comes in to work later today. Additionally, the mass number of representatives you have answering the phones when a local store will not answer, need to be better trained in communication skills to more effectively communicate with us, your customers. Don't lose touch with aspects of the human element behind the monies you receive for servises rendered. Unfortunately, it has been a very negative experience doing business with you overall.
