We found the service to be lacking in public relations. We wanted a 7 round adapter so we were charged another $100. for the part and the labor; however, after we picked it up we realized we could have just bought an adapter if we ever needed the 7 round plug for about $30.. They did not wire it any differently but just plugged the adapter (which is both the 7 and the 4 on the end of a 4 that plugs in to the original receptacle. After we picked up our car we went shopping and went to put our groceries in the back of our vehicle and found the shroud that fits up underneath in the back of the car. We called the installer who said he couldn't install it back on and that he "could have just thrown it away" but instead he put it in the back of the car. He did say as an afterthought that he could have cut it to get it back on and that it would have taken too long to do he also felt that it would hang and flop and get caught in the wind. We wondered why they didn't just call us to ask us about the situation and what we may have wanted done. We took it to the self help garage on the base the next day and began to remedy the problems we found once we got the car up on the lift. The wires were running exposed from the back to the front, in between the springs of the shocks in the back (we know that is not safe) and up against the gas tank and along the bottom underneath the frame zip tied to pipes and fittings along the way. We undid the adapter and just attached the original flat 4 to the bumper. We then untied and pulled the wires all the way out and wrapped them in the wiring insulation that they probably should have been in (it didn't cost as much as the adapter did). Then we ran the wires up on top of the frame and other bars that would keep the wire from being hit with a rock or something else or pinched. We then proceeded to attach the shroud to the underside. We only had to cut a small but long wedge out of one side. It took us all of 15 minutes to replace the shroud and all the work was done in about 45 minutes to an hour. The time it took U-Haul to do the job (which we were told would be about an hour) took them 2-2 1/2 hours. We wonder how much experience or training the installer has as he obviously could have done this correctly in the time he took. On top of this the hitch was not new. It had signs of being bumped on the ground before. They weren't small scratches, they were large spots where the paint had been scraped off. We were very unhappy with our experience. We would not recommend anyone to have a hitch installed there.
