This location always seems understaffed, which can be a great inconvenience during high traffic periods. In spite of this, the employees are generally friendly and helpful, sometimes going above and beyond to get things done.

Clerk was very impersonal, bordering rude. Could tell he did not like his job or was having a rough day. Called the store to make a reservation and was told they did not have the size of truck I was requesting. Went online and made the reservation without a problem, picked up at the location I was told they didn't have it.

The 26ft truck I rented was in unsafe condition to operate. The steering, brakes, transmission, and suspension were all in severely degraded condition. The interior of the truck was filthy and the engine was leaking oil. After sitting one night, the battery was dead and needed to be jumped in order to start. I expressed these concerns to the U-Haul personnel at the 1901 Eubank location and they did not express any concern for the future safety or condition of the truck. I will never rent any vehicle from U-Haul again and will not recommend this company to anyone.

We ordered a truck over the phone. We went down to pick it up on San Mateo, We were then told it was on Eubank, which is about 10 miles further from our home. We never got a text or a email explaining that we would have to pick up the truck from a different location. (that ran into more millage)To rent the truck we then spent another 45 min to get paperwork done and we were told by a rude employee named Brandon that we would still have to take the truck back at the time we scheduled the pick up, even due to it not being our fault that we never got info and that the new person who was doing our paperwork took 45 min. Also he (new guy) asked more then one other employee for help. They would come and push a button and tell him do it over and walk away. It wasn't till the manager came out to help that things finally started moving. When we took the truck back this Brandon backed up like a crazy person in this huge truck almost hitting my husband. Over all experience was poor no customer service what so ever, arguing about what time the truck needed to be back due to a customer picking it up as soon as we took it back. (when we got there and left they had 3 of those trucks) Lying about times and leaving a new person alone to do the paperwork with no help. BOO. Terrible. It even felt a little racist.

when we went to get packing supplies there were 5 employees in the store and only 1 of them were attending to customers. It took us about 20 minutes to even be waited on. When we rented the pull behind the guy putting it on the truck scratched the bumper and took a chunk out of the bumper and never even once apologized for doing it.

Appointment was confirmed at 7am. When I got there, there was NO ONE to work on the hitch until 9:30am???? I got up early, drove about 40mins to get there, and then had to wait and find something to do for 2 and 1/2 hours. That's ridiculous! Then my pick up point was not set up in Virginia Beach, it was set up in another city? At least I didn't get charged for the different city drop off. Once I got there, the service was pretty good and the trailer and hitch lasted all the way to Virginia. That was real good.

The facility is obviously understaffed. I was sent away and had to come back several times to get a hitch and wiring installed. My trunk (on a fairly new car) has not closed correctly since he worked on the wiring. I called several times to adjust pick-up times. It is obvious that U-Haul central scheduling is not communicating well with the pickup facility. Overall, the trailer worked fine. The right rear blinker was not working when I picked up the trailer and the help at the pickup facility could not resolve the problem. I did not have time to wait for them to find another trailer.

My normal experience with this location is excellent however on this occasion is was absolutely terrible. There was only one person onsite and it took him an unreasonable amount of time to get the vehicle I had reserved ( I reserve them several months in advance each time ). A little over 1/2 hour. There were a number of other customers waiting as well, all of whom became very impatient with the exceptionally slow service. I rent the same size truck a minimum of 5 times a year and previously service has been very good at this location.The truck I was provided was also very unsatisfactory in that the steering was very sloppy and unstable. It was absolutely unsafe at anything approaching highway speeds and was barely controllable at city speed limits. I certainly hope I will not have the same terrible experience in October and December. My answers to the your three questions would all change if things return to normal at this location.

Absolutely went above and beyond to help me I am from Oklahoma and broke down here and needed a truck to get to California and back and Chuck/Brandon/ and Eligha went out of there way to help and accommodate me. I wish the service in Tulsa and Broken Arrow Oklahoma was half what this place is.

I think there should always be at least 2 employees working. If there is only one, any more than one customer causes wait times that are frustrating to customers and employees alike. Other than that, the service was splendid.

First, the equipment for the most part was clean. There were stains on the floor which is why I said no. In the grand scheme of things not a big deal. However, what was extremely annoying to me and this is the second time it has happened were upon making reservation, I was asked and it was noted that I would like furniture pads to rent. (A dozen) both times now when I go to get the rental the pads were not available. One time I hade to drive to another location and this time I had to make the move without them. If these items are not going to be available then why offer them? I did not make other arrangements because in my planning I already had this taken care of. If I have a reservation, why not set aside the items I requested? Why let another customer come and grab 9 dozen knowing that you may have a reservation that needs a dozen? If this is not going to be available, why not let me know so I can adjust my needs before I am there getting a rental? I had to make my move putting my couch on the dirty stained floor without any pads. It just seems that you know what I need for my reservation, but don't fully plan for everything.

I reserved an 8 foot pickup truck, which I chose because I was moving several tall objects. When I arrived, I was informed that both of their pickup trucks were out of service and I was offered a cargo van. I accepted the van but was worried that my items would not fit. Indeed, they were too tall for the van; also, the rubber floor mat (pickup trucks have a bare metal floor) prevented me from sliding the items in without catching, and the first one fell apart (a set of shelving) as I tried to load it. Because of the height limitation, only one item could be accommodated forcing me to make an additional trip. For the second trip I pulled the rubber mat out but still one of the items (another set of shelving) fell apart because of the height limitation. I was able to get the third item in fairly intact. When I returned the van, I mentioned that not having the pickup truck available proved to be a problem, but there was no apology offered, only the statement "it's not our fault." As a final indignity, I was told I must roll out the rubber floor mat myself (I had just left it in the van) or I would be charged extra for them to do this simple task. The agent (he could not have been older than 16) was absolutely unapologetic and unsympathetic and proceeded to ignore me in favor of chatting with a young lady a few cars away. This was absolutely the worst rental experience I have ever endured, and will not rent from U-Haul ever again.

My order was placed over the phone and I was directed to a location that did not have the equipment that was reserved. I was directed across town (35 minute drive) to a location that had the equipment. The location was great but it did cost me over an hour of travel time due to initial error.

I requested 26' moving van. I received an email that it was confirmed and guaranteed. Upon showing up, l was unapologetically that only a 20' van was available. This was too small for the move, but I had no choice and the place didn't seem to care. Another guy walked in behind me and had the same incredibly inconvenient and bad experience. I will avoid uhaul if at all possible from now on.
