I called the store bc I had the xo (dolley) that was supposed to be returned that day on the truck that I was taking back to Arkansas on a one way trip. The manager was very unaccommodating and made it seem as if my only option was to return it to her store. Since she was in GA and I was making a one way trip to Arkansas that was impossible unless I had it shipped. I mentioned I was going to call the 800 number to see if they had any other options for me such as adding it to the one way contract back to Arkansas, which by the way was their first offer when I got the xo. She stated you cam call them but this is my store. I felt as if that was rude. I called customer service and they stated they saw that she had made the contract a one way instead of the local as it was initially. I was grateful, but I didn't like that she didn't offer it to me when I was speaking with her and acted as if I were to call the 800 nunber there wasn't going to be anything I could do about it. Other than that the experience was average. Lots of customers to little staff. I work in a call center and expect a certain level of customer service. They weren't rude in the store but they weren't friendly either.

We had reserved a u-haul van at a location a few blocks from our house. Without contacting us, our reservation was switched to this loction, which is across town from us (20 minutes without traffic; 40 minutes with traffic). By the time we waited 30 minutes in line at our preferred location only to be told we had to drive across town to this location, we were already an hour behind schedule on our move. The van smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and someone had spilled something on the floor - maybe a drink - and it hadn't been cleaned up. We were already too far behind schedule to do anything about it. When we complained to customer service about not receiving notice of our reservation being moved, we were told that we would receive a check in the mail for a $50 credit, because our credit card had already been charged by the preferred location. This made no sense, because we never gave them a credit card number. I was told issuing checks was u-haul policy and that was the only way the company did things. When I asked to speak to someone with more authority about this, the second customer service representaive told me that the first person gave me incorrect information, and that u-haul never issued checks. Instead she told me that she would authorize a $50 credit to be placed back on my credit card. I was not given a reference or confirmation number. So now just have to wait to see if this actually happens. When I pressed for additional information on why our reservation was moved across town without notifying us, the reprsentative indicated that the location was "not across town." Furthermore, I was provided no explanation why u-haul failed to contact us to let us know that our reservation had been changed - either by leaving a message on our phone, sending an email, or sending a text message. I've received at least four additional emails from u-haul, including a reservation confirmation, a billing confirmation, and others trying to sell me add-on services. But you couldn't call, text, or email to let me know I know had to had 40-60 minutes on to my schedule (round trip) to go to a different location? And then do the same thing when we had to return the van that evening? There is no excuse for this when you have all of these forms of contact available. I was simply told that "this kind of thing happens all of the time." We have used u-haul services in the past, and have been very good customers. If, as I was told by your representative that "this type of thing happens all of the time", we will not seek u-haul as a service provider in the future. I counted at least six other service providers we could have utilized that were on the road during our move.

Your staff was absolutely amazing, especially Mrs.Campbell she really knows her stuff, very well trained and what a great personality. As I waited my turn in line, I observed this woman handle every thing, everything person, in perfect coordination, I was in Awh ?? she's a locomotive of a woman. Very prompt, responsive and organized, what ever you do, please don't allow this woman to get away from your company. When you hired this lady, trust and believe, was the best decision your management made. Keep up the good work Ms. Campbell ??

they had bums standing around to ask for moving help for hire. It wasnt a bad thing but some people might be thrown off by strangers approaching them after the get the truck rental.

While the manager ended up being helpful, she was very aggressive at first. I wish she would have listened more and understood the situation before stepping in. She had at first insisted she could not help, until she actually understood what was going on.

My morning began at the U-HAUL location located off of Ponce in Atlanta where I had RESERVED a truck; however, upon arrival I was told that a car was blocking in my truck. There was no discussion around how to move the obstruction, simply that I would have to go to another location: 300 Peter Street. I was told that a truck was reserved and waiting for me there. Not only was this location completely out of my way and set me back on moving day, but once I made it to the front of the line (a 35 minute process) I was informed that they had just rented the last 10ft. truck. Clearly reservations mean nothing. With that established, I was told that there was a 14ft. truck available, to which I said, I would be happy to use that, however I am not paying anything additional. The UHAUL rep disputed this for a good 10 minutes until a 10 foot truck miraculously became available, buit the windshield wipers did not work. During the process of checking out the truck I was asked, "Can you estimate how far you're driving today?" I said I could estimate so long as I'm not getting charged for this as I have come a good 10 miles out of my way simply getting here. I was told, "No sir, you will not be charged for this", and so I said I estimate I'll be driving 15 miles or so. Upon receiving my receipt, I noticed I charged "15 miles x .99 cents", in other words, I was lied to at point blank. This was a miserable experience in which the customer was completely taken advantage of and the reservation was completely meaningless (both in holding the truck as well as in appropriately reflecting the total cost to me, the customer. Please feel free to call should someone feel so inclined to actually care about my experience. Cell: 864-561-4280. Thank you.

The representative was very rude and less than helpful. I did not feel as if my business was appreciated, or welcomed. Her name is Metissa, and she made my experience uncomfortable. But I love UHaul, so I'll be back. I will just avoid her station.

My reservation was for the Midtown location and at the last minute I was sent emails that my truck was moved to the Peter St. location. I appreciate that this change of location was communicated to me via email, text, and voicemail. But when I arrived at Peter Street there was a long line and it seemed like they had no information about my reservation and I had to go through the entire reservation process all over again. If the attendant knows the destination address then they can calculate how many miles it is from here to there. I shouldn't have to pull out my phone and google that for her. She has a computer right in front of her. She should be able to do that herself. Moving is a very stressful process and your customers shouldn't have to help the attendant with baby steps and repeat ALL the information that was already provided when the truck was reserved.

Gas was right at a quarter tank but my contract said I should bring it back with over a quarter. When I brought it up nothing was done to change the contract. Claudia was rude. When I dropped off the truck the parking lot was closed off by cones, luckily there was someone there to move them otherwise I would have had to bring it back the next day. The man who let me in the parking lot requested that I park the truck in the truck lot that was only for employees. I guess he was too lazy to do it himself.

First. I was gettig a truck with no brakes. They changed the truck out. When i arrived at my 1st stop to load up my stuff. There was a king size mattress inside the truck and it was trash everywhere. ?? needless to say i was devastTED. I called the location back the service representative said to bring truck back and they would remove it. We had already lost enough time so we just dumped it. Not a good start at all. The truck was only at a 1/4 of a tank. We did receive fuel credit. But. 1st stop was gas station. Never had this kind of foolishness to happen and i have rented many trucks from UhAul. Yhe only good thing happen with this move was the night attendant service rep did give us the truck for 29.95. Thank you!! Still a bad taste in mouth. But a betta feel.
