I had a great experience. Unless you offer free coffee- I can't see an improvement for my needs.

Mr. Art was very helpful in equipping my vehicle with the proper hitch ball and light adapter. Very easy transaction when renting the trailer.

The personnel were friendly and helpful, but there were some problems with the truck. The driver's windshield wiper was not working properly and had to be replaced the next day while on the road, which delayed my trip. The problem was that I did not notice this until I had to use the wipers while driving at night and through the rain. **This was a huge safety risk.** It could have been avoided altogether if the truck inspection had been done properly before being released to me. In other words, operate the wipers with fluid and carefully observe the areas where the wipers may be ineffective. Also, the fuse(s) for the trailer had been blown when it was rented to me, so it/they had to be replaced by the other U-Haul place that rented me the trailer. This procedure delayed my trip departure time.

On the day I made reservation, I forgot some valuable items in the store, as soon as they saw them, they called me to come pick them up. All were till intact. You've got honest and dedicated staff right there. Thank you U-Haul.

not the best price in town. unfortunately i realized this too late. mostly because you do not make it clear how much of your deposit will be returned to you after you return the vehicle. maybe it was your employees, maybe im stupid. but i felt confused by all the red tape.

Seriously? "Was the personnel helpful?" Send your survey makers back to grammar school. Should be: "Were the personnel helpful?"

When returning the truck to midland, the store there would not accept my truck because they said that they had no place to put it. I had to go to another location and that store was closed for personnal reasons. The last location charged me 1 gal. of gas because the gas gauge was not equal to when i picked it up. If i didnt have to go to 3 different locations, I would not of been charged that extra gasoline sur charge.

I rented a medium sized truck. The window knobs were broken. The window shield had a crack in it. After loading the truck the brakes locked up on me while traveling at 65 mph in the center lane on the highway during rush hour. I was put on hold at road side assistance. Police came. I was advised to return the vehicle to the place of rental. I got a different vehicle and it was fine. I had ot unpack and reload the new vehicle by myself. I asked what compensation could be had for my 4 hours of trouble and was told it would be taken care of when I returned the vehicle. On that Sunday, nothing could be done unless i returned on Monday "because the manager was not here" I am furious and will not recommend that location to anyone. I am appalled tat U-Haul would rent such an unsafe vehicle. -Peter D Reid, rented from the N Lamar location, October 9-12.

I wish the gas tanks were filled so it did not require guess work to know how much to refill too.

The sales clerk was unfriendly and unhelpful. I was the only person there....7am pick up....and he seemed put out that I was in the store. I will not use that location again. It was dirty and smelled bad and the emplyee was rude.

The manager, a younger guy, is kind of surly. The location seems always understaffed and a line builds up. I was doing a one-way rental and the manager said I got 150 miles free, and I'd mentioned I'd been given more previously, and he just ignored me. I know I'd be driving more than 150 miles, and I'd have been happy to prepay for more miles if that option was available, but he just scowled and said nothing. This is a very convenient location so I'll probably keep using it, but the manager is a bummer.

I have rented 2 trucks from this location in the past month or so only because it is on my route to work. The last truck I rented was a new truck but the a/c did not work and the driver's side window made a grinding noise when you rolled it down to the bottom. When I called back to ask if there was a trick to get the A/C to work I was told that it was working. I clearly know how to operate a simple a/c control. Upon returning the truck I complained about the a/c being out and with out missing a beat the rep said "well you could have brought it back." When you get in a truck and start driving it is not safe to play with the controls.. So I guess I should have pulled over and checked out before driving to my pick up location. But the uncaring attitude from the rep will lead me to rent trucks at another location and maybe even a different company. From the last 3 times I have rented from this location there is always a problem.. I was over billed on the previous rental and had to call and get a credit. I just want good customer service and to rent a good product.

From start to finish, this was the best truck-rental experience I have ever had. I did show up on a weekday, but I was helped immediately and with genuine courtesy. I was on a schedule and had allowed myself an hour for truck rental (based on prior experience), but the rental was complete in less than ten. The drop-off was similarly efficient.

Was a good experience and rented before. Last time however the line was out the door when I went to return..seems like there may be a better way to service dropoff (didn't want to use drop box). I fortunately was able to catch employee outside. I bet line woulda taken 45 mins or more! Nice employees just need more I think..they can get pulled out to get trucks leaving waiting customers inside. Just one more would help a lot I'd guess.

Don't assume that making a "reservation" means U-Haul will actually make the reserved equipment available to you. I rented a U-Box pod and a pickup truck to tow the pod back to my apartment. I arrived a couple hours after my scheduled pickup time due to unforeseen moving hassles, to find that the truck reservation had been cancelled on me. Granted, I was late, but the pickup truck was supposed to be reserved for a full day. A snarky Uhaul employee asked "what did I expect" on such a busy moving day and told me to just load the pod at their facility since I didn't have a truck any longer to take it to my apartment. Thanks, Uhaul, and carry my sofa on my back to your facility? I finally found a friend with a truck to help me tow the pod to my apartment. When I returned to the Uhaul location several hours later, the employees casually mentioned knowing that another customer left their personal padlock on the pod. This resulted in another *hour and a half* delay while my friend's dad beat the lock off with a hammer himslef in 100 degree Texas heat since the U-Haul employees were not helping us. No apologies from U-Haul. U-Haul does have good prices, but as most people don't have a lot of flexibility on their moving day, the embarrassing customer service may mean it's not worth it.
