Truck used had air conditioner failure multiple times. it would cut out after several minutes. truck had to be re-started to re-start the AC fan.

The U-Haul cab was dirty inside. There was still ashes in the ash tray, the cup holders were sticky & there was trash under the seat. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The U-Haul cab just needed to be cleaned.

Counterman was a little short and rude. handed me my final bill that I had paid without saying thanks, see you next time, nothing. I felt like I was inconveniencing him. The Yard Man was excellent.

Hello my name is Lynette Mays and I recently rented a truck from the South Union Ave in Bakersfield CA, location. And I will never rent a truck from that location again. I rented the truck on a Saturday morning at 11am went to my home loaded the truck went to my new house and when I got ready to open the door the driver door would not open. At that point I had to get out of the truck through the passenger side. Right after that I call road side assists. I had to stop my moving wait an hour for the technician to arrive. He noted that the door was broke however it was not from my doing. He told me not to drive it anymore, just take the truck back and they will give you a new one. However the location was already close by then, so I had to wait until Sunday morning to return the truck. When I got to the location the agent told me that for one thing I was not getting a new truck to finish my moving and that I owned $178.00 for the door. So bottom line your road side assistance, your customer service and your location was not communicating with each other. I had to pay for a truck door that I did not break and I didn’t get to finish my second load of moving. Never going back and well tell everyone my story.

This is to let you know that I ordered the truck on line at the site on Chester and did not find out until I went to Chester that they did not have a truck and I had to go to Union. A phone call would have been helpful and should have been made to let me know the change. I was meeting my moving helper and was concerned that I would miss him because of the time it took to go to the other location

I went to the U-Haul on Union & Brundage in Bakersfield, CA to pick up my packing material. Jose helped me to find everything I needed. He was awesome. Would definitely use this location again. :)

Vehicle was old and rough with highilage andechanical problems, vehicle had items from previous user left in cab, return agent was rude and obnoxious, and stared I should of rented elsewhere.

Not much! The staff was friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. This was a completely new experience for me, having not used U-Haul for sometime.
But, as far as the facilities, my Wife and I both noted a distinct chemical smell, possibly of cleaning chemicals, that rang of a 'restroom smell' both times we went inside the location. i hope this doesn't impair anyone's ability to enjoy the great staff working their butts off there!

At this location when I dropped off the one way rental they asked me if I was supposed to drop this off in Texas. Then complained that I didn't call the number to find the appropriate place to leave the truck and dolly. If the person that rented the truck to me had indicated anything of the sort I certainly would have called. My sense was that I was returning the truck and dolly to the place I had requested in the first place.
