make sure the gas gage is the same amount on the computer the gas gage on the computer said that it was full but when I got in the van I rented the gas gage was half ways to the 75% line need to improve on that big time

The inside of the U-Haul was a little smelly. I could tell that the person who had it before me smoked cigarettes. A little air freshener would have been nice! Thank for all of the help you guys were wonderful!!!

I used to hate this location due to the long service times involved during checkout/check in and bad attitudes of front end staff . Definite improvement over years past experiences in staff/customer interaction. Check in person using tablet verifying specifics was able to complete simple contract on the spot without going inside. Total checkin time outside couldnt have been over 90 seconds once I was acknowledged by staff. Only had one issue to take note when returning equipment, traffic entering from brundage signage points to the right. Having prior experiences this location I know that the preferred traffic flow is supposed to go clockwise around the office to the return area. Customer returning prior to my arrival had pulled in wrong direction, by the time I circled around the office other equipment came onto lot from union and brundage blocking us all in. Suggest better signage indicating traffic flow and/or more visible lane paint markings.

The waiting in line for over 10 was the only nagging ordeal. More employees are needed because this location gets a lot of business especially at the end of the month. Other then that ,they have good service in my opinion.

Originally, I was scheduled to go to the White Lane location (also in Bakersfield). My experience at White lane was terrible. I received multiple emails about when to pick up the truck (9AM and 6PM), and then after a long wait in line at White lane, they told me that I couldn't pick up the truck until 3PM. They would not accommodate me and were extremely unhelpful and rude. After a significant amount of time, they finally offered to check other locations. They found a truck that morning at the Union location. The difference was night and day. The employees at the Union location were friendly, helpful, easy to work with, and had no line at all. The equipment was brand new and didn't give me any trouble. I will never do business with the White lane location again, but would happily go through the uhaul at Union, even though it was out of the way.

The uhaul I rented had several holes in the roof. It rained all day. Many boxes, leather couches, and miscellaneous items were wet. A DVD Blue Ray Player was ruined due to getting wet. When I returned the truck I made a verbal complaint and he said he couldn't help me with my complaint and that I would have to come back later to make a complaint with someone. I was required to have the truck back by 9am. Yet he could not fully help me. Due to the fact that I had only one day to move my brothers house because he passed away it almost seems pointless to complain over something so petty. But I feel that Uhaul should be informed that I am completely disappointed with my experience for what it's worth. Just curious...I know that I am responsible for any damage to the uhaul and even purchased the extended insurance. Yet Uhaul is not responsible for the damage to my items from lack of inspecting the truck correctly. How exactly is that fair?

Clean and well maintaned equipment and an efficient and friendly staff. There did seem to be a disconnect between information I supplied via an Internet reservation and pre check in and what information was accessible by the staff at the counter. I had to again supply my drivers license number and credit card number even though I supplied that information on line.

I got a trailer hitch installed and rented a trailer and the experience was fine. It did end up costing much more than I was originally quoted but there were some issues that were unexpected. Overall the staff were professional and very helpful.
