I had my car on a car tow. When we arrived at this location, I told the Uhaul associate that I was ready to have my car taken off the tow. He looked at me and said, 'Ok, you can just start unhooking everything.' I told him No, that I was told that Uhaul would unhook everything (since it was cinched down pretty hard and chained in two places underneath the car) and he said he didn't know he was supposed to do that and that I must have paid to have someone do it. He was very unhelpful and seemed uninterested in helping. He told me it would be awhile and he would get to me as soon as he could. We had just been on the road for 5 days driving across the country so it was very frustrating to be told someone at Uhaul would see to it my car was carefully unhooked from the tow, only to have someone act like it wasn't his job to do so.

The fan didn't work, which I didn't know until I started driving. It made for a long (2.5 hour) and hot 80+', loud drive on the freeway. When I got to my destination the people at Uhaul were very helpful and said that the truck would be serviced before being rented again.

The truck I was given was filthy inside and out. After driving it for an hour I stopped and bought an air freshener for the interior and clorox wipes. I had to wipe down every surface on the inside. I had to clean the windshield and mirrors to get them to safe usable condition. It had obviously not received any cleaning for a very long time and I had to spend several days driving it. I am not a neat freak or germaphobe by any means and this was unacceptable.

The uhaul I rented was missing one of the rubber cushions on the ramp. When I attempted to slide it into its housing the one rubber cushion left would cause the retaining hooks to become jammed. This would make it so the ramp would not seat fully in the ramp housing. Thus the securing clamp would not properly fit into place. Leaving the ramp in a place where it could potentially slide out while driving. I had to crawl under the unit and work the retaining hooks into their proper place so the ramp would seat properly and securely in place. Other than that the unit was clean and seemed well maintained.

My reservation location was changed multiple times. If a location isnt an option for certain rentals, then it shouldn't be an option on the website at all. This is such an inconvenient . I had to make calls, answer calls, respond to emails and log into the website just to figure out where my reservation was change to yet again.

I didn't spend as much time dropping off the UHaul as I did picking it up, but I definitely did not feel the same welcome-ness. Nevertheless, the staff here was professional, nice, and efficient!

The furniture pads on the website were listed as "one dozen", but it was only 6 in the pack. I was picking up 9 pieces of art and was REALLY counting on there being 12 in the pack so I could adequately protect them while they were in transit. It was very disappointing to find only 6. When I brought it up with the person who checked me out, he just said that the website has problems, and that I was only charged for 6, not 12. But that's not the point at all. I needed 12 pads.

I walked in off the street and tried to rent a 10' moving truck and the person behind the desk asked if I had a reservation. I said no. He politely informed me that everything was booked out until Monday. Everything. Nothing was available for me to rent. A little disappointed, I walked outside, opened the browser on my phone to your website and almost immediately reserved the truck I had asked about inside. It would be ready to pick up at 4:45, a mere 5 hours away. I'm not sure why the clerk would think that everything was booked out until Monday(3 days away) but in the end I got my rental and I thank your website for that.

My reservation was not originally at this location. It was set for the All Star Collision Center on Greenwood Ave. This is the WORST customer service I ever received! The person in charge never showed up. I called the number that was left on the door and it was unavailable. I called the Seattle office for assistance and they were not helpful. The representative I spoke with, Sherrie, did not explain the refund policy well and could only offer me a much later time to reserve a truck. I was furious and accidentally cussed over the phone not at the representative, but at the situation. She immediately got angry and hung up. I called again and asked for a manager and no one was available. I have never received a worst customer service experience in my life! Extremely disapppointing!

Forego the requirement/request that customers provide two phone numbers (I have only one) in order to rent vehicles. This policy is unnecessary in the age of mobile phones, and it is frustrating to your sales staff who are obliged to continue to request "another number" even though none is forthcoming.

An improved drop off plan would be good. Perhaps with signing to indicate where to stop in line etc. It was crowded when we dropped off and we blocked one car from leaving lot. Other than that it was a good experience.

Management needs to do a better job at keeping the homeless scabs off the property. They are a huge distraction when I'm trying to do equipment checks. It's not that I'm worried about my personal safety, I'm worried about theirs. I could inadvertently back a truck or trailer into one, and with rental clerks leaving the keys in the vans, what's not to keep them from driving off with the equipment? Seattle scabs have been known to turn violent with or without provocation, especially during the summer. If any one of them comes after me, I will beat the brakes off of them. I will not hold back for I am well within my legal rights to do so. Management should make client safety and security a priority and keep the vagrants out of the business space. To improve for the next customer, you need to get these guys outta here and make sure they don't hang around.

The lot was so crowded that it was choked down to a single narrow lane and difficult to maneuver. Inside the building the service counter is all the way in the back so all the people coming & going have to pass each other in narrow aisles creating a traffic jam there, too.
