The folks at this location are very friendly and professional, but the facility is a mess--more like a warehouse than an office. The parking lot is congested and haphazard. U-Haul should invest some money and give these nice folks a better place to work!

When we received the truck after parking it goes while we had a hard time starting it up when return the truck we put gas gas needle was jumping the worker tryed to say it wasn't right so we took it and put more gas and the same thing with the gas needle I feel like the stole my money

Location and service were good. Friendly and professional staff. Truck clean and in good condition. Was disappointed because I reserved a 17ft truck but there was only a 15ft there when I went to pick up. No price difference and a smaller truck didn't seem fair to me.

I had a confirmed reservation at another location. When I went to pick the truck up, he told me that he didn't have the truck. I went to another location and she gave me the reservation number. I called and was told that my reservation was at the Airline location and that an email was sent. I told her that I didn't get the email that morning and she appeared to not believe me. I checked later that day and the email was sent to me 30 minutes after the confirmed pickup time, so I had already left the house that morning. When I got to Airline, it was after 11:00am. They didn't have the furniture mover that I had reserved, so he offered to sell me one (which I did). Then they told me that I would have to return the truck by 3:00pm. My original confirmation was until 7-8:00pm because that is when I had the help to move the heavy furniture. Because of the time frame, I was only able to move 4 pieces by myself in that big truck. The overall experience was not favorable. It was not worth my time or money. I will probably not use U-Haul next time. Amy Traylor thebuddyloft@gmail.com

I'm disappointed that a staff member misled me by stating that a certain smaller truck did not have a ramp, when in fact it did. This forced me to rent a more expensive larger truck. Bait and switch?

Let me first say that my comments are NOT for 7650 Airline Hwy location. They were very helpful. If you show in your system, my first drop off point was supposed to be 3147 College Dr., Baton Rouge, LA. I pulled in, dropped off the trailer but was met as I was leaving by the secretary/assistant who told me, I could not drop off the trailer because her manager told her that they were not taking any trailers and I would have to take it somewhere else. We tried to tell her that this is where our contract said to go. She then went into the office, called UHaul to assign me a new location to drop it off. She also, while my wife was standing with me, told the customer service person (which may be recorded) that my wife was throwing out that she knows her rights and this legal stuff. She only was pointing out what our contract read. We were assigned the new location at Airline Hwy, which I went re-hooked up the trailer and proceeded to that location. Needless to say, we were not happy with College Drive Rentals, Llc. The manager or her one dropped the ball by not notifying UHaul that they were not taking trailers on the busiest day for moving in at LSU. There was no signs up anywhere that said they were not taking trailers and she also stated that if we had left it, she could not guarantee that it would be checked in since they were not taking trailers. How were we supposed to know that.

I wasn't told to , pick up truck by 8.00. When I got to the location my truck had been canceled .i was told that the only truck to get at that point was the higher price one.

I have reserved a 10' truck on July 29th 2015 to pick up on August 8th 2015 at 8 am from my preferred location at Highland Rd for 4 hours (recommended). The total moving distance was estimated to be 1.8 miles. I hired moving helpers to be at my place at 8:30 am on Saturday. I have received an email on August 4th saying that because a 10' truck will not be available on Aug 8th I need to pick the 10' truck from Florida Blvd location. I called and asked to bring the truck to my preferred location on Highland Rd. They treated carelessly on the phone and said they will call on Thursday to let me know of the final pick up location. Of course, they did not and when I called on Friday, a day prior to moving date, they said I need to go to Airline Hwy location to pick up the 10' truck. Finally, I agreed to cut the nonsense and go there. And, I had to asked helpers to come at 9 am instead. On the moving day, at Airline Hwy, the personnel told us that we had to pick up a 15’ truck because they do not have a 10’ truck available. The only reason we forced to go there was getting a 10’ truck and they made us to pick a 15’ instead with the same price as 10’. They could do this at Highland Rd, but instead they deceived us to go 24 miles away to pay extra money for mileage we drove as well as extra money for gas. The personnel scheduled the drop off time at 2 pm to be safe despite the fact that I insisted we will return the truck at noon. We forced to speed up the work, and asked some of our friends to help us to finish the work by noon. But we could not drop off the truck at noon instead we dropped off at 1:13 pm. They charged us $64 for 23.76 miles + $14 insurance. And, we also paid $9 for gas. A service that could have been $38 turned to be $27 more expensive, in addition to extra more load on us to drive that long distance in hot summer day in Baton Rouge for 40 minutes, and asking friends to help when we did hire helpers. The whole experience was terrible and stupid. It was second time this happened to us. We think the Highland Rd location is just for deceiving people. When I reserved 10 days ahead this inconvenient is not acceptable at all. My husband and I will never use your service again and let as much as people possible to know how poor is your service and management. And, how careless are you about people time, schedules, and plans. You just think about making more money in any way possible. The pressure and stress we felt that they was not asked for. We are people with doctorate degrees which means having tight schedule due to high amount of work responsibilities. I am very sorry for your system. Parichehr Saranjampour

they were an hour late with my truck, when I asked to use one of the many similar trucks on the lot they said oh no, those are not one way trucks. So I sat there for an hour waiting for my truck to get back from New Orleans. was not very happy.

I reserved a 26 foot and got a 24 foot truck.There was no air conditioning,the fuel meter was broke.The transmission didnt change gears I had to drive 45 miles per hour the whole trip.The suspension was terrible I couldn't move anything fragile,this was a waste of time and money.Plus I was charged a 30 dollar fee for the gas when the meter was broke.I wouldn't recommend this uhaul company to anyone

Too far away from where we live. Staff was rude and unaccomodating. Instead of giving you the truck with the gas tank full, it was half empty. Had to return it half empty as well or pay $30. How easy is that? Wasted money on gas (around $20) so I didn't have to pay $30! Only bright spot was that the return was quick and easy.

Aside from general store improvements, this location has awful customer service. The staff was uninformed about reservations and they were no help in solving the problem. This location needs to improve the way they accommodate customers. If a reservation is made then the staff should do everything possible to be sure that the customer is satisfied with their experience from start to finish.
