My reservation experience was a nightmare. My reservation was moved to four different locations before I finally got confirmed. Every call to CS was different information given. The reps and even a manager I spoke to was totally uncaring and unprofessional. If I was not over a barrel I would have selected another provider.

Service was very poor during our rental returb, the employees working at the time were rude, surly, and unprofessional. The lady who check us in, however, was very helpful and nice. The location is difficult to find. Next time I'll use the one near Lumberton, we have had excellent customer service there in the past.

Do something that recognizes the employees at the U-Haul location for excellent customer service and willingness to go that extra mile for the customers. They do, and have done this for a long time. The entire staff and their manager have been helpful, patient, and shown exceptional candor and professionalism since I've been doing business with them from the very start 8 years ago. I'm a regular customer. I'm usually doing business at the Milam St. location, exclusively, unless I'm renting to drop off there from a remote U-Haul location. I live a ways from this location on Milam St. in Beaumont, TX and there are several U-Haul locations near where my residence is. I choose to use this location because of the customer service. Unfortunately, there is an issue I feel is very important that I'd like to comment on. When the staff becomes busy with customers and must forward calls (understandably) I believe that the call center should answer the phone and be up-front in their greeting that they are indeed the call center. I'm not sure why the company policy is to be evasive and [almost decietfully for lack of a nicer description] seem to prefer you to believe you're talking to the location you dialed. This is annoying beyond explanation to me and others I have asked that do a lot of business with uhaul. This has taught me to ask; (me) "Is this the call center?" (Call center) "Yes. Would you like to make a reserv-(me interrupting) "Thank you for your time... *Click* (as I hang up the phone) I was a transport and logistics specialist for many years in the military and have driven many large line-haul trucks in several countries and in all kinds of harsh conditions, from snowy/icy mountain paths to desert unpaved roads. Most of the people I served with also prefer U-haul to hiring movers. Many of us keep in touch and talk often about the call center issue I just mentioned and have agreed we'd rather wait until later to rent, because we don't have the time to talk to the point of contacts we're familiar with. Military mindset: yes. There are a lot of military drivers nowadays. This would help business I think if there was a way to get a call-back when available. Thank you.

Although I was asked to bring the van back clean, but I think that policy didn't apply to person renting it before me. Van had this distinct smell inside that would give headache. Seemed like someone used it to transport livestock and then no body bothered cleaning it. Would definitely do a proper inspection before renting something from U-Haul next time or else will go somewhere else.

We reserved a truck that was supposed to be $19.95. We arrived at the location around 9:55am. The pickup time was 10am. the truck was not available. so we waited for about 45 minutes. One of the worker Lotoya Bush stated that we could rent the Van which was at the same price. We decided to take the van because we had a schedule time to pickup the furniture. The people that worked at this location was very rude and unprofessional. They had about 7 people waiting to pick up/rent and the people that worked for Uhaul show no sent of urgency when dealing with the customers. Never acknowledge the customer with a hello can I help you or anything. I decided to check my bank the amount that was charge was $87.59 but i was told that a credit refund of $37.51 still not credit back to the card. So I called the location and I have placed on hold for the past 45 minutes.

Reserved a 10 foot truck had to be bumped all the way up to a 24 foot truck that can hold a four bedroom house it was not happy because they said they reserved the next size up which was a 15 foot but when we were there it was already given away by another employee who had no idea that we had been bumped up to a 15 foot.
