!!!!BEWARE!!!! I rented a 26' truck in Eugene and the fuel level was just below 3/4 of a tank. I drove the truck to the Tigard/Beaverton area and unloaded it. Before I returned the truck, I went to the gas station and replaced the fuel that I used. the cost was $58.01. When I returned the truck in Beaverton, I had 3/4 of a tank...more than what it was when I got it in Eugene. I did this because I figured the reported fuel level would not be adjusted as promised, and I was right!. U-haul was closed by the time I dropped off the truck so I did everything possible to avoid additional and outrageous charges. I replaced the fuel to 3/4 (more than what was in there), folded the blankets and locked them in the cab, swept the back of the truck, parked it in the designated return area, and dropped keys, contract, and fuel receipt in the night drop at the front door. I am good to go :) A few days go by, and I decide to check my bank account online. I notice a charge of $195.00 to my account from the location where I dropped the truck in Beaverton. I called them and spoke with Matt, and he said the truck was checked in the next morning with having only 1/8 of a tank! I explained the situation, and he said, "as long as I send him a screenshot of my bank account showing the debit for the fuel I spent, that he could reimburse me the $195.00". I did what he asked and even included the contact info for the gas station that I went to. later that day he called to inform me that he spoke with his manager, Robert, about the issue, and Robert told him that he couldn't do the refund until he had the actual fuel receipt. I no longer had the receipt because I returned it along with everything else in the night drop at their location. I decided to work on getting another receipt from the gas station when I received an email from the manager which basically said that even though the fuel receipt WAS returned with the contract they still could not do anything to help me. Luckily, I know another manager at a different location and he was able to call the Beaverton location and speak on my behalf. In the end, I was provided with a $100 dollar in-store credit from the Beaverton location. Better than nothing I guess. I am writing this review because people need to be aware of what can happen when dropping a truck off after hours and the back-and-forth wish-washy empty promises that will be given to you. What's a verbal agreement and someones word worth anyways right? P.S. Gas siphoning is a common occurrence at U-haul, and despite their many cameras guarding the area, they choose to do nothing about it. And why should they when the cost can be easily passed on to their customers.

It can be difficult to tell when someone at the counter is available or with another customer as the display units block visibility to counter staff.

Place I was originally scheduled to pick up at, the Twin Oaks location failed to provide all the equipment I had reserved much earlier. Had to go to this location instead and wasted a lot of time waiting in a long line. When I dropped off the equipment the person who was checking me out failed to ask how I wanted to pay and charged my credit card when I had specifically told the person who rented it to me I wanted to pay cash.

We hooked our small trailer to the truck. The turn signal a break lights did not work, but the headlights did cause the lights to turn on. We have not had this problem with our trailer before, so the trailer wiring on the truck may be faulty? Otherwise the truck was great.

The lady was a bit aggressive always referring to the truck as "my truck". Saying things like "when you bring my truck back it needs to have 3/4 tank of gas. " I didn't care for that. I highly doubt that the truck I rented was her personal vehicle. It rubbed me the wrong was. During our transaction I started to walk off before we were finished, I honestly thought we were done. She said "we're not done yet" but the way she said it felt like she was taking to me like she thought I was an idiot and she kept that tone with me for the rest of our transaction regarding "her" truck.

Returning my rental Saturday - arrived at 7:45. 10 people in line ahead of me and only 2 cashiers!! Dear Lord, I waited 25 min to get to counter to pay with cash and not credit card. NOT Happy. When I mention this to cashier - she only says sorry! Whaaat?!! People that need to rent a truck/van want to get an early start on day; Saturday is also a very common day for this activity. Staff your counters better - have a floater on hand to jump in when line gets too long. Offer a discount if wait time is more than 10 minutes!! Sorry was all I got. Thanks

Although there was no way this location or the Newport location could have known about this but the left wheel well has a leak. It was raining during our trip to Beaverton and water came in through the wheel well and got our bed liner and bed rails wet :-(
