I used Penske for my last move because I was told U-Haul's trucks were not as good. However, I found my entire booking and traveling experience exceptionally good with U-Haul. The truck was newer, well maintained, ran strong and got good gas mileage during the 1000 mile trip.

I have used u-haul twice in 5 years. Both times I've had major problems. I will never use it again or refer them to anybody.they have poor service and poor customer service and poor communication

The guy who walked out and hooked the trailer to our car wasn't very nice. Not personable at all, but the guy who checked me out was very friendly and made me forget the other mans attitude.

I go in here quite a bit. Propane usually, other rental things. There is always a wait for you to be served. The people that work here are good at what they do it just seems that there is always a long wait to be served. they need more staffing.

It could use a few more people for customer service. Very busy, so had to wait. However, the biggest concern I had is that they did not point out that the rental was by the hours (24 hours) not the day. We rented on the morning of one day and asked how late the place would be open on the return date. They never pointed out that returning later in the day would cost another day's rental. It was obvious by our questions we were not returning in the morning and they never pointed it out. I was shocked when we returned it. I did eventally find it in small font on the rental agreement, but nothing was said verbally or it wasn't highlighted to let us know. I bet this happens to a lot of people. Not best business practice!

Best Uhaul I have EVER been to. Went to the counter, the gentleman said go back to my vehicle and turn my head lights on, I was next. In and out in 10 minutes. The person working outside checked all the signals and lights before he unhooked the trailer. Said it would help prepare for the next customer. Unhooked me and had my receipt emailed tome. Everything was done on a hand held pad. Best experience in the 6 years of leasing from Uhaul. Would make a great training video!!!!

Truck's gauges were all hosed up. Speedo and Odo were fine, but the temp, oil pressure, voltage, and gas gauge were inop.

We felt like we were being scammed. Your processor used inaccurate odometer readings. When we took possession of the vechical the tank wasn't full and we were told to fill the tank to the same level - a practice I hate. On return I filled the tank with more fule than required, but your employee tried to charge us to fill the tank to full. Smartly, we took a picture of the gas gauge to record the fule level. I also captured the odometer prior to leaving the lot. When we disputed the fule charge and once I revealed my photo the processor said,"Well I guess since you have a photo I can remove the fule charge". After I left the facility I reviewed my bill and photo of the mileage. He charge us for 50 miles when we only drove 20 (also in the picture). His paperwork showed a lower incorrect and suspicious odometer reading. There is no way we drove 50 miles. Our move was from homes about a mile apart. We made three round trips - not even close to 50 miles. We will call and try to resolve the mileage issue tomorrow. One more issue that that we feel was very shady, was when your employee tried to charge us for two days of use, explaining that the truck is rented out in 24 hour increments. However, I showed him the paper work - the same info he had. We only had the truck for about 20 hours. Again, because We had the paperwork he adjusted the price. The worst part about our experience is that we had to ask for the total we were being charged. The employee said to check our email for the receipt, but we insisted on knowing the total before leaving. I expect uhaul to be the best of the best, honest, and customer friendly. I was sadly disappointed - to put it mildly. I will be contacting the national customer service to take action against this type of fraudulent behavior.

At return, be a bit more personable and friendly. Your customer is the good guy. It wouldn't hurt to say "Thanks for your business, hope we can help you out again in the future".
