when you request additional items i.e. blankets or plastic wrap the uhaul rep. helping you should make certain you pick them off the shelf or the customer may forget them.

Clean the windshield free of bugs. The person that I dropped off the van with acted like I was some sort of criminal...searching the van for damage or a flat tire. Really? If you don't want to rent vans and trucks - then treat people with some respect please.

The experience was great until we returned the trailer. The two individuals that were working at approx 530pm when we returned were very short and abrupt. You could tell it was close to the end of the day and they were tired and unhappy. y wife and I left with a very poor taste following returning the trailer.

Improve customer service. We didn't do the inspection on the trailer because my representative was in a hurry to go home at 6:00 pm. When I got home I noticed the trailer had damage on the front inside of the trailer and called the office to let them know I didn't do it. I had the feeling that the person I told didn't even write it down anywhere. I will not go back to this location. I will go to the other location across town that has been pleasant and professional to work with in the past. This has never been a very friendly location and I always feel like I am bothering them by waiting on me. However, this time I won't be back.

One thing that was less than satisfactory in my opinion, was regarding U-Haul's optional insurance. My auto insurance policy covers me for any vehicle I drive or trailer that I tow, so I declined to pay for additional coverage. However, I was told that by doing so, if there was any damage that occurred during the rental period, I would be required to pay for it "immediately, at the time of return". This does not sound correct, and may not even be legal...insurance adjusters would need to be involved, and repair estimates would need to be gotten from licensed repair facilities. Personnel on duty at a U-Haul return desk are most likely not qualified to accurately assess damages, thus any amount assessed "at the time of return" would be highly suspect in my opinion. This practice, assuming it is standard, begins to smack of extortion - uneducated customers may be coerced into purchasing insurance that they do not need based upon this vague threat.

I received a 26' truck rather than the 20' truck that I reserved. Worked out OK but the 26' truck was hard to start when I returned it. Engine ran rich and smelled fumes. Difficult to get through to UHaul road service. Record 106°F heat in Boise.

Service and equipment was fine. It took me a moment or two to understand the "electric" manual transmission, but after 5-10 miles I finally figured it out. A word or two by the attendant before hand would have been appreciated. Again, though, the overall experience was very positive. Thank you

It prep orbs to have a cost of 19.95 per day but with tax and damage coverage it is $50 per day.we rented for a day and was told bring it back the next day by 5 pm. We planned that but got a call at 2 pm reporting we were late and would have to pay for another full day. $100 dollars later I'm unhappy to say the least!

There was a couple of things. What I reserved was not at the location that I selected. So switched from a 10' to a Cargo van, Van was in good condition and worked well. Was told the Van was full of gas and need to be returned full. Used the van for a total of 14 miles round trip. When I filled the Van back up it took over 3 gallons of gas. The Van did not have a full tank when we rented it. Also the customer service was terrible. When we returned the Van we sat at the van for several minutes with no one coming to check in the Van. After waiting for several minutes we started to go inside so we could check in the Van and was yelled at by the attendant to get back to the Van. Then he went thru the check in rudely. I find it interesting that on check in there were things checked on the van that were never checked when we checked out the Van so we would never know if any of the issues were there before we rented the Van.

I went to UHaul on Friday to rent a pickup truck for a couple of hours to move some beds. There were no pick up trucks available Saturday, so I opted to rent one on Sunday morning. It was suggested to me by the agent to come, not at 9:00a.m. when the office opened, but come at 10:30a.m. to avoid the rush. I reserved my truck for 10:30a.m. on Sunday. First suggestion, if you are willing to go into an office and rent a truck, you should have first priority when picking it up. I would have been happy to arrive at 8:50 a.m. to assure that my truck could be rented to me quickly. I received a phone call later that day saying that there was no truck available on Sunday until 12:30p.m. and that I would have to drive to another location. I told the agent, that was unacceptable and that I would only pick up the truck at the Chinden location. Why would I pay another 59 cents a mile to pick up at a location 10 miles from my home when I was only planning to drive a total of 25 miles? There should be a option that if you can't rent at a location close to your home, that UHaul pick up the cost of the mileage between locations. I told the agent that was not acceptable and I received an email later that day that a truck would be available for me at 10:30a.m. at the Chinden location. I arrived at 10:20 a.m. on Sunday to pick up my truck. My agent filled out the paper work, ran my credit card and went out to bring the truck up to the front, it was approximately 100 yards away from the office. He was interrupted by a customer and spent approximately 8 minutes talking to someone who obviously could have waited, since when I got tired of waiting for the agent to move a truck 100 yds, I approached the truck and the customer apologized to me for keeping the agent talking. I realize 8 minutes is not very much time but when you are talking about an hour and a half rental it is a long time. I understand that the agent was obligated to be patient with the customer, but this customer also was monopolizing the agents time inside the store. It took 30 minutes to rent a truck that is 5 miles and 10 minutes from my home. I returned the truck at 12:30 p.m. I parked the truck next to the building housing the office. The return area had a 16ft truck parked there with the door open making it difficult, but not impossible, to park there. I went into the office and was told to move the truck to the return area. This was approximately 50 ft. Could the agent not checked out the truck in the space I parked in next to the building? As I pulled into the return equipment space, there were four (4) agents standing there, one smoking a cigarette, as a customer backed a 16 ft rental truck in an effort to leave the grounds. Four men do not need to help one customer to back out of the area. I had to ask someone to help me check out. Bottom line is that I spent $41.60 to use a truck for 1.5 hours and deal with 45 plus minutes of unprofessional service. Suggestions
