Uhaul needs to overhaul their online coordination. Every time I rent something online, something goes wrong. It's not the fault of the local place. It's a national Uhaul organizational problem.

Although I believe I am blaming the local U-Haul in Boone for national reservation issues. My confirmation number for truck was # 91849045 for a 10 x 10. Reservation for storage 5 x 9 @ $44.95/month is #869083-2736. Upon calling to let them know we were going to be about an hour late, they told us you don't have any reservations......I said yes I do. Long and short agent on phone found a 17' truck we could use and when we got to site in Boone they had no information on our truck and HAD NO STORAGE UNITS AVAILABLE! On a Saturday afternoon we were left with NO choices and had to run items to Blowing Rock 20 miles away incurring significantly more charge on mileage and truck time. The entire bill should be reimbursed for the complete screw up. Your national call center had us booked in IN......how is this possible????

Since this location has gone under new management it's a joke. Employees are not friendly and they over charge you. We put the exact amount of gas back in and were charged for more fuel... Another person in line behind us had the same thing happen. We've always used this location but in the future we will not.

This is my 3rd time renting from this location (Bypass 105) and the reason I keep coming back is that I always have a flawless experience. Staff is helpful and professional and vehicles are always clean and always perform without issue. Anthony the owner has a great business and hires great people. Highly recommend!

Only thing is that I rented. Uhaul one way and when I turned it in they charged for mileage. And they guy didn't say anything to me about mileage when I picked up the uhaul.

My reservation was moved to another county without my knowledge when I logged on the day before to check it since no even called me as the email stated. I called an 866 number around 9am and spoke to a lady in Hickory who said she would see if she could arrange the pick up in Boone as requested. She never called back. I logged on about 6pm to get the same number to call back and found my reservation was cancelled. I called the 800 number and found someone at the Boone location canceled my reservation without ever checking with me or noticing the pick up had been moved almost 40 miles from my house (instead of 5 miles). After about 30 minutes, I rented a much larger trailer than I reserved. I was not happy at all about this whole situation. Pretty pissed off. Nothing went right except the after hours drop off in Supply NC.

First, the web site is mis-leading, you only get the truck for the time you sign up for, not the entire day. so it is not $30.00/day, it is $30.00 for the rental period. Second, the truck broke down with furniture on it. They immediately transferred me to roadside assistance, which took 30 minutes to get on the phone. After 1 1/2 hours a guy showed up to fix the truck, could not, and Boone U-haul could not get a truck to me, because there was only one guy in the office. I got a ride back to the office, and it took another 30 minutes for the guy to figure out how to get me another truck. It took 3 hours to get a truck and Boone Rental refused to even consider compensating me. By pushing directly to roadside assistance and having no skin in the game, Boone Rental gave me terrible customer service. Needless to say, that I will never rent from Uhaul again and that I will tell every person I know what a lousy company Uhaul is... every chance I get.

The website spooked me about the certainty of my rental truck. Said the truck wasn't there. That needs to be corrected. The site's phone number didn't work. Verizon recording said it had been disconnected. More uncertainty. Both of these issues are fixable and can make the rental process feel much more certain.

allow a message to be left at the locations before having the call picked up by the central call center when the location phone does not pick up after x number of rings - sometimes customers have questions specific to the location and the call center cannot help.

The locations should make sure they are ready to process when a person calls and says they are a few minutes away. This helps speed up the process. Computer system was slow and employee seemed to struggle, but came up with a work around. Just took more time than we had. Other then that, they were pleasant.
