Your application process is outdated and old. Your personnel would not rent a vehicle to me because I did not have an emergency phone contact. That is BS, I'm single, 60yo do not work and you will not allow me to rent a vehicle because I do not have an emergency contact. UHaul needs to come into the millennium!

We had no issues with the UHaul locations, but we did have a lot of trouble when our truck got stuck in a snow bank in Boston and they couldn't find us a tow truck to get us out for 4 hours. It was a difficult circumstance overall.

When we made the reservation on the phone we were told we could drop the truck at 985 Mass Ave in Boston. We chose this location because my wife knew where it was and it was very close to where we moved my daughter to. When we arrived at this location we were checked in outside and went in to finalize the transaction and were told we could not leave the truck there. They wanted us to bring it to Cambridge or Summerville. We did not have a GPS with us and did not know where these other locations were. As far as we were concerned this was a breech of contract. Because we were told we could drop it off at 985 Mass Ave. Finally the manager said we could leave it there. Shortly after we dropped the truck off I got a call from the manager accusing my wife of using a racial slur in the building. We were standing in line waiting for a girl to finish a phone call and wait on us and I told my wife the other girl said that they could not bring the truck to Cambridge or Summerville and we had to even though the original contract said we could drop it at Mass Ave. She said to me while the girl was talking on the phone that there were four guys outside smoking that could bring it over there. This girl who was talking on the phone while my wife was talking to me told the manager that my wife used the N word in the conversation. I AM REALLY INSULTED THAT SHE SAID THAT. EITHER SHE WAS LYING OR SHE MISUNDERSTOOD BECAUSE SHE WAS ON THE PHONE. MY WIFE IS THE LEAST RACIST PERSON I KNOW. I AM SURE SHE HAS NEVER USED THAT WORD IN HER ENTIRE LIFE. NEITHER OF US WOULD TOLERATE ANYONE WE KNOW TALKING IN THAT MANNER. AND IT EVEN INSULTS ME MORE THAT THIS WAS WRITTEN ON THE REPORT THAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN READ. UNLESS I GET SOME SORT OF APOLOGY I WILL NEVER EVER USE UHAUL AGAIN AND THAT GOES FOR MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. IN THIS DAY AND AGE YOU DO NOT ACCUSE PEOPLE OF SUCH THINGS WITHOUT PROOF. YOUR EMPLOYEE WAS TALKING ON THE PHONE, MY WIFE WAS TALKING TO ME IN A NORMAL TONE AND THAT WORD WAS JUST ABSOLUTELY NOT SAID, PERIOD.

The equipment was fine, but the staff were extremely unfriendly!! Not sure what was wrong with them, but their displeasure with being there and their interaction with me put me in a bad mood for about two hours after my short interaction with them! Thank goodness I was able to drop the keys off after hours because if I had to interact again with the person I spoke to when picking up the truck I may have had to ensure that they were feeling ok.

I have an extra charge of fuel of $5 when i returned the truck. I only use it 20 miles and i re-filled it with $5. I Dont understand it

Actually having my stuff ready for pickup instead of making the my moving helpers wait for three hours, which doubled my bill for them. I called ahead of time almost a week and was very clear about what I needed and just barely got my ubox tardy and bolted up.
