Mass Ave was great after being moved by u-haul last minute from Quincy to Weymouth to Hanover for pick-up. After concerns for traveling I requested Mass Ave. The lady's at the counter were great. The guys loading and preparing the truck were on point, over at storage Alonzo was very helpful and knowledgable. I'm still waiting on my 20 mile credit from Weymouth U-Haul but I don't want that to get in the way of how great Mass Ave served me as a customer.

Huge U-Haul place -- my first visit for return.. A better signage for where to enter (I was arriving on Mass Ave driving northward) to drop off -- it was a bit confusing as to where to turn in.

Train your staff to provide great customer service and better coordinate the actions of the calling center with whatever is going on at the store. There was no need for two people to call me about returning the same van. Hire well and appreciate your employees' hard work so that the place doesn't become a circus.

All of the employees we worked with in person at both locations were helpful & pleasant. HOWEVER, we had a horrible experience with the booking manager when trying to sort out a mistake made on our contract re: pick up & drop off. We had a 10' truck booked for two days for an in town move (we were using the truck to transport items we purchased at area antique markets back to our home, we weren't actually moving). Our agreement was to pick up & drop off at the same location (985 Mass Ave) as we don't have a car and live in South Boston. We can walk to/from the Mass Ave location. We got a call at the end of the first day that our drop off location had been moved to Malden, MA - outside of Boston and nowhere near public transportation. This was not acceptable to us for 3 reasons: Our contract was to drop off & pick up at the same location, we didn't have a car to transport us back from Malden and we were paying for mileage on the truck and Malden was way out of the way. The booking manager I was speaking with (Jordon) kept insisting that our contract was for a one way move and refused to let us bring the truck back to Mass Ave., where we picked it up. I didn't have my printed version of the contract with me at the time to have proof that we were meant to drop off at the same location. After much back & forth, he finally switched the drop off location to one in Somerville where we could catch the T home and he credited us the mileage difference between dropping off on Mass Ave and the alternate Somerville location. Once we were able to look at the contract we had, it only showed the address for the Mass Ave location where we picked up - there was no address at all for a drop off location. When we called back with our proof, the scheduler got especially rude & condescending in tone with my husband ("Are you done, sir?") and that was the straw that finally broke the camel's back. The service we received from the telephone booking managers was appalling...and we weren't even asking for any money! But honestly, our time is more valuable than money and we/our time was treated as completely worthless by Jordan and the other weekend telephone operators. All we wanted was to return the truck near our home, as we had originally scheduled. My family has used UHaul for over 20 years, locally and coast to coast, and this experience will really have me thinking twice before I ever use UHaul for anything ever again.

The customer service was absolutely terrible. When I went back to return the truck I was rudely yelled at about where I parked my car. I parked next to a sign that said 15 minute customer parking. ??? I explained to the gentlemen that I was Just returning the truck I would move in 3 minutes and he yelled at me again. I asked him for his name and he blatantly ignored me and went inside. He eventually can back outside and I witnessed him and another employee joking about where to park one of the rental cargo vans! This was extremely unprofessional. They were flat out making fun of me and it was not right. I will never do business with this place again and will do everything in my power to make sure people I know stay away.

The dolley in the truck was simply horrible. I asked for one with my online reservation. The one in the truck didn't meet my needs at all (the wheels on it will not properly go over the lip of the truck to the ramp; for any object small or large). Need to improve the dolley given to customers. Luckily, the staff at the store was gracious enough to not charge me the $7 rental fee for a useless piece of equipment.

Dont understand how 6 miles can cost like 40 dollars. Should have been explained better. Spent 90.00 dollars for 56 mile 8 hour rental. Ridiculos. Need some feedback

On the California end things were horrific. There was little to no contact after I was told that there was a mistake and my U-Box was missing. The moving Helpers were my saving grace, but getting a hold of them was a nightmare. Finally, someone from UHaul was able to connect me to them. None of the reservation codes worked and no one could tell me why or help me with that issue. Finally, our U-Box showed up and then it was matter of getting it to our location which seemed near impossible. Apparently this "never" happens, but it happened to me and I will never use U-Haul again.
