I had rented the uhaul for a one way move. I was not aware that my reservation was for in town and ended up spending twice what I originally budgeted and having to turn around and drive back to the city id just moved out of. Very frustrating. Your corporate help number then overflow' me to the new Hampshire regional office who told me they couldn't do anything to help me because I was a Massachusetts customer. If NH reps cannot help MA customers, why have the calls forward to them!? Then the NH rep hung up on me when I asked that question. All in all a very poor experience in which I did not feel like anyone at uhaul cared about the issues I was having. I will not be using your company's services again.

I have probably rented over $20,000 from U-Haul via trucks, trailers etc over the years. I have never met any personnel so rude and unprofessional as these, let alone representatives of U-Haul. They tried to cancel a reservation my local U-Haul dealer had made for me, so as to institute their own reservation at a higher rate. When I brought back the 5'x8' trailer I initially rented because it was too small to move my son back to NC, they tried not to process the refund...and it wasn't until I got U-Haul's Boston Traffic Dept on the line that they agreed to do it. When we upgraded to a 14' truck, it was newer and in good shape...but not a completely full tank as represented and paid for. Finally, I got 1 dozen pads...and upon packing the truck, I found every one of them to be wet or damp...so much so that we could not put them on or over wooden furniture. Horrible representatives. Leo and Jim did an excellent job on my last move for a client. I ordered a 10' truck that did not have a ramp (which was my fault not knowing). Once I recognized the problem, I informed Leo and within minutes he was able to switch the trucks and gave me a great deal for my business. I was very pleased and will use this location again. I was charged a cleaning and fueling fee which is not acceptable since I cleaned the back of truck and I put gas into the truck at the correct level. Plus, if someone had really done their job inspecting the vehicle they would have realized I left my wallet on the front seat. (I did this after I put gas into the truck before dropping it off) I had to call and see if my wallet was in the cab of the truck. Luckily it was there and returned. Still waiting for the manager to call me about the complaint I lodged. Not impressed with the service and will NOT RECOMMEND using Uhaul to my family and friends.

Parking for after hours drop-off was very tight. Additional signage or relocation (push it further into the parking area) of the drop-off area may help alleviate this issue.

If you are coming to rent a vehicle you need a place to park your car. None there. Only street parking, of which there is none. Especially since it is winter and parking is limited. Had to park blocks away and take a cab over. Not convenient at all. Then when I picked up what I was transporting the van's ignition would not turn for 20 mins. I called and the agent was aware of this issue and gave me some tips to get it to work. After 20 mins of wrestling with the steering wheel it worked and I was late for an appointment that I got charged for. I was told I would be comped $19.95 for the rental, but then had to call days later as it was never put through. On a side note I lost more than $19.95 missing my appointment. That cost me $40.

I did a job yesterday and the door would not close. Embarrasing and unsafe in front of a small client move. The customer service is what I call sub par (without naming names) about a discount due to the inconvenience. I still have not received a call back or discount from the rental.

Having an employee blare his horn at you and yell at you that you're not allowed to park in the parking lot isn't exactly a warm welcome (and makes no sense). The employee who had us fill out the paperwork was very nice, however.

A light indicated that my truck required an oil change from the moment I left the lot. I didn't have time to deal with this, but I was nervous the whole time I drove 200 miles that the truck wasn't up to par.

Very long lines, which I don't blame the location for it was the end of the month, however the truck that I was given stalled numerous times throughout the move. Therefore I had to worry about not only the move but whether the truck would start every time it would stall.

The people that worked here were very good, but the overall UHaul experience was awful. I scheduled my van pickup for 3/1 and went in Friday 2/27 to pick up a bag and there was no record of my reservation. Then when I got there on Sunday, I had to call to resolve an outstanding hold that prevented them from renting to me. I resolved this issue 2 years ago, but because it wasn't properly marked as resolved, it cost me 20 min when I had a small window to move anyway. Why wasn't this brought to my attention when I completed the initial reservation online? The guys that I worked with at the location were very good and helped me out, but the management team that handles all other details of the trip made the experience difficult and frustrating.

I was falsely told the gas on the truck. I brought it to the attendants attention and he did note it on my account. Two warning lights were on in the truck. I feel as though I should have been made aware of them and let know what they mean. Returning of the truck went much better and faster. I felt on the pick-up I should have been the focus of the attendants rather than what time he had to pick up his child. The last time I used uhaul the attendant spent most of his time on his smartphone.

I was happy trucks were available the day of because I originally went with a different company. When I arrived at that company they didn't have any trucks even though I had reserved it. Luckily, this location was close by and had trucks. There was a problem with the computer system so the line was very long and it took about 30-45 minutes for me to get the truck. There was no parking at the location either so I had to move my car and find a spot on the busy street. Despite the computer problem and no parking I would use UHaul again because I feel I can count on them to actually have trucks available.

I rented the truck online for my move from Newton, MA to Hudson, MA. A couple of days before the move I was left a voicemail stating I could not have the truck the entire day even though I paid the "daily" rate. They told me I could only have it from 7:30 to 1:30 knowing I had a 60 minute drive each way. At 1:30 they called me harassing me to bring the truck back. I was unable to complete my move and now must rent another truck and take a day off from work to finish the move. Another thing that irritated me was only getting the truck with half a tank of gas. I was threatened with a hefty fee plus $3.50 per gallon if I brought it back with less than half a tank. I had to guess how much to put in and ended up bringing it back with almost 3/4 of a tank. If they had just filled it, I could have filled it back up and only paid for what I used. I feel ripped off.
