Fuel gauge was extremely inaccurate. Went less than 10 miles and needed to put 5+ gallons in to ensure I made the mark. Extremely disappointing.

Got a van with 9 miles on it. Driving in downtown Boston. Really was not happy getting such a new van. One with a few dings would have been better for driving in Downtown Boston. Other people drive like idiots and a new van is a magnet for bumps and dings in my opinion.

Told me that I could return the truck to one location (in Orleans Ma) and then called and told me that I had to return the truck to a different spot (in Hyannis Ma) that was some 25 miles away. This was very inconvenient. Thought it was unprofessional that I was not offered some financial compensation for taking extra time to arrange for someone to drive with me to Hyannis, drop off the truck and drive back to Orleans. If U-Haul can't keep to the scheduled drop off location, it at least should arrange to have a U-Haul representative take the time to come to the scheduled destination and pickup the truck.

The team located at this location were really great. I had a long drive to move my belongs and therefore was running a little behind; when I called them to say I was on my way but behind a little traffic they graciously extended my reservation. It was so helpful to me because I didn't want to drive recklessly trying to get back on time and their kindness definitely took the pressure off. I am very thankful to them.

The van was just cleaned in back and the back was still wet. Had to air dry the van before loading. It took 20-30 minutes before I could load. The windshield was very dirty, had to clean it.

It would be really helpful if they could guarantee the size of the truck needed. We ended up needing to throw out things we didn't necessarily want to part with because we ended up with a 15ft truck instead of a 17ft. The store manager was very accommodating and tried to assist us by providing a trailer, but we were not able to use it in our neighborhood (there wasn't enough room to park it).

Hidden surcharges were unknown at the time of reservation. These came up only when I arrive to pick up vehicle. Not a good way to do business. Disclose all charges upfront. This is called transparency.

The female employee who was sitting at the desk, did not greet us or ask if she could help us. My husband approached her and asked if she could help us. Also, when I asked about the $19.95 price, I got what seemed to be a sarcastic response about it being $19.95! I had to continue asking about the cost before I got the breakdown I sought. It felt like she was doing us a favor which left a very bad impression. The van was clean and ran well and upon return the man was pleasant and helpful.

I was charged a second day because they said I brought the trailer back 30 min late. Instead of taking my word for it they had to check the cameras. They did reverse the charge in the end but they could have done this in a better fashion especially for a regular customer.

I received a call 1 hour before my pick-up time stating that the 24 hour rental I had scheduled almost a month prior was not possible. Initially, I was told it would be cut to 12 hours - after a lot of push back from me I was able to extend it closer to 18 hours. This was very stressful and in my opinion completely unacceptable. I do not plan to rent from Uhaul again unless absolutely necessary.

Price was incorrect and the vehicle was under performing as driving it was a scary experience. I put 45.00 in gas which left me with more than I left and as a slap in the face the rep commented" we don't reimburse for over amounts , the next customer will appreciate it . With that said I will never rent from u haul again.very poor business establishment poor vehicles customer service poor over all rating -3.

The first impression about the price is wonderful. Then when it comes all together is very expensive. No reimbursement for gas that accidentally supplied to the truck-more than it had when I got it. I forgot my sunglasses in the truck, called and asked for help. They said they will call my back. Nothing so far. Waited 30 minutes in line with only 2 customers in front of me. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
