First of all I was told way too many conflicting information about whether I could change the name on my maiden name reservation so my new husband could pick up the trailer. I was also told that I could pay for this ahead of time so he did not have to because it was going on my card. I was told by this location I could do both online, only to find out I cannot either of them. Second when my husband went to go pick up the trailer it took 1.5 hours to simply put the trailer on and check out. I have rented many trailer in the past year and my car was already for the trailer; this should have taken no more than 10 minutes to put it on and check the lights; 1.5 hours is a extremely ridiculous. We were in a time crunch and did not appreciate this HUGE inconvenience. The worst thing was they asked if we were okay driving 25+ hours on a one way with a trailer with an out taillight. HELL NO!!! We would be immediately pulled over and ticketed several times. I am absolutely disgusted they would even suggest that. I understand it is a one way and we could be bringing the trailer way out of the way, but then you should have checked the lights ahead of time. You originally wanted us to pick up the trailer at 11:15, so you could have used the 6 hours of extra time to replace the taillight. But to top it all off the trailer we were given was absolutely disgusting. We were already in a time crunch and the fact I had to give it a good sweep and wipe down was not acceptable. I have went trailers before and I know the normal condition, but this had broken hangers, paper clips and more than normal dirt. My experience truly does not make me want to use you again.

the gentleman that was "helping me" on sunday was rude. He did not look up from the desk, while he was on computer and said "stand behind the orange cone" ... which was unfortunate as there was nobidy in front of him and I was looking to view something beyond the cone so I could decide whether to purchase. The store itself it set up like a maze. If there was ever a fire or need to get out quickly (never mind if you have a disability) you would have great diifficulty getting to the exit. I have used this store multiple times, but I can honestly say, it will be worth my while to try someone else next time.

Although there was trouble getting my truck on time because a customer did not return the truck as scheduled, the U-Haul representative did an excellent job in locating another truck in a timely manner. My only question was about my bill. My original cost was estimated at $536. However, I downsized the truck from a 14' to a 10' truck, and was told that I would not be charged for the furniture pads and one dolly that I had pre-ordered (because of the delay in the availability of the truck) - but the final bill only went down to $530.00. Despite this, it was an excellent experience, great service, and I would both recommend and use U-Haul again.

I paid for a dolly and did not get one. They knew I was doing a one way from MA to ME and gave only a half a tank of gas and lastly, I had no option of only doing a one day rental it had to be 2 days. It was also very expensive and overly priced for a one way rental.

Give out the truck with gas tank filled so it's easier to return the truck with the right amount of gas. It really pisses me off to not know how much gas to put in and i have to overfill it because you're not going give me a refund for the excess gas.

Passenger side cab of truck was covered in dog hair. Manager was professional. Truck ran well. Much better experience here than in Dorchester location.

Please take more accurate fuel measurements if your going to be charging exorbitant "convenience charges". There's no way I used up 4.7 gallons of fuel during a 1.4 mile drive from the gas station to returning the truck. I will no longer be considering Uhaul for any future moves.

I called about my reservation three times and one of those times was to double check why my email had a different address then the location I wanted. When I also customer service assured me that I had the correct location. When I got the Brighton location the guy there told me they didnt have it and that I had to go to Mass ave in Roxbury to a truck. You guys are lucky the manager Jim there is awesome and helped me but otherwise I was extremely upset that they told me to go to go across town to pickup. It made no sense and when i called to confirm and I got confirmation EVERYTIME that I was picking up in Brighton so I dont understand how I suddenly had to pick up in Roxbury.

I am not sure if this was a scam, but I paid $22.50 in fuel for 23 miles. Here's how: when I picked up the truck the fuel tank was 5/8 full, but I later noticed they had marked it as 3/4 full. Since I was in a rush I didn't have time to go back and complain. So I filled the tank up to 3/4 before I returned it. Then on the receipt I noticed they had charged me $7.50 for EZ fuel! Either they misread the fuel gauge twice, or it was a scam - I'm honestly not sure which!

Great location, fast service. Only thing that confused me was the afterhours parking. I was told park to park the truck as close to the fence as possible but there were a lot of trucks everywhere so I pulled behind another truck. I think a few more signs will be helpful.

My reservation was made online for a 1 day (i.e., 24- hour) rental with pick-up at 6:00 pm. I received a phone call at 7:00 am the following morning from the manager of the Brighton location angrily informing me that the truck had been due back at 3:00 am (9 hours after I had picked it up). He then informed me that he would only charge me 1 extra day for the rental if it was returned by 8:00 am. As we had only just begun packing the truck, I told him that was impossible and that it would be returned in the afternoon. He then told me he would have to charge me for an additional (i.e., third) day. He was extremely rude during the phone interaction. Customer service was extremely helpful and courteous and I was able to return the truck without interacting with the Brighton location manager. In the end, I was only charged for 1 day (I believe, in large part, because of the customer service representative to whom I spoke), but I will never use the Brighton location again and will discourage others from doing so.
