Nothing... This was the best U-Haul I have ever seen. Well organized, easy return, it was like the Airport return process drive into your lane, they check you out with a smile and you get a Digital receipt. This place has allot to chose from If you are in the are this is where I would rent and return to.

Rental location never mentioned (in person or by signage) about the $10 City of Boston rental tax. I reserved a trailer at the Brookline location and was told I had to pick it up in Brighton and had to return it there, so no escaping the tax. The trailer was old, creaked and kept blowing the "trailer light" fuse in my Yukon. I ran out of fuses so continued without running lights. Blame it on the Yukon, but I believe I rented the same trailer and it blew the same fuse in my Chevrolet Suburban. A newer same-size UHaul trailer I rented had LED running lights and did not blow fuses. The old trailer needs rebuilding and shouldn't be rented until repaired.

It was difficult to get the bar(?) out of our hitch. I asked the young man to use a rubber mallet (so as not to damage the item), and he insisted on using a metal hammer. We needed the thing removed and so were at his mercy.

Make sure the the trucks are in good working order. The truck I rented broke down after only having been driven a couple of miles and had to be towed to my new location.

Reserved a van weeks in advance, but was given a truck. Was told that the confimation email I got the night before changed it to a truck because I was traveling one way and they had no vans to spare. To them it was like 'why are you making a stink about it?' But when you have never driven a truck and have to drive to new york from boston, and don't know which roads trucks can and cannot go on, it adds stress to the move. The night before is not reasonable notice to change my reservation. The truck was old and dirty - I have to wash everything now. Check engine light came on midway to new york which is unsettling.

When we received the pickup truck we'd rented it had alot of water in the bed (probably due to rain a day or two before). We would have benefitted from UHAUL providing some way of clearing the bed of water, or from UHAUL protecting the bed before the rain. Great customer service at this location.

The interior cab was clean but the storage portion of the truck was not clean. I had to clean including swiffer as the dirt on the floor was bad. The trucks alignment was horrible. It did not allow me to drive at highway (65 mph on mass pike). If I did attempt 65 mph the trucks steering caused lots of swerving. The attendant that rented the truck to me was very nice and helpful yet was over worked doing everything himself. I did notice another guy outside sitting in a truck and appeared to be doing nothing. That guy in the truck I believe was the manager as seen on a business card. I rated this location only average because of the gentleman who rented the truck to me. He kept this rating from being lower. Thanks

I reserved a truck online yet I had to give all my information again to the desk rep to enter again into their computer. a total waste of my time. why did I bother reserving online??? why couldn't she just call up my order? they forgot to give me the furniture pads I ordered online. no time was spent going over operating the vehicle. no pointers. nothing. basic customer service was severely lacking at this location. Whereas the rep at the Bridgeport CT location on Fairfield Ave was very helpful, pleasant and got the return processed quickly.

I had first set appointment for a hitch installation, when I got there, installer was not available because he had to go out. I rescheduled for afternoon. Returned in the afternoon and installer said he was alone and could not do installation and requested I leave my car for 4-5 hours. I left. I installed hitch at another location. $ days later, I rented trailer from this dealer again. Attendant failed to tighten the coupler to hitch ball and when I left, the coupler came off from hitch and trailer damaged my bumper. Horrible experience!

Be sure to do a thorough operations check before leaving the facility. I found after leaving the UHaul facility that the passenger side view mirror was collapsed against the truck and I had to stop and fix this in traffic so that I could see the right side of the truck. It also was difficult using controls like the auto lights--it was hard to know if the lights were on or off. The airtight cab prevented the doors from closing all the way and often got the message from the dash that a door was open. There was a trailer hitch icon that was lit throughout the trip. I guess this was simply the trailer hitch waring light, but never-the-less who was to know. In short, take the time to understand the driver side prompts and mechanical warnings and such because the staff won't necessarily walk you through it.

The attention in this location was not good at all, the Lady at the counter was eating cereal in front of us while she was typing in the computer, she was rude and they had my last name spelled wrong the whole time and I asked her to change it like 2 times and she didn't do it, at the end when I was walking out from the store she yelled at me asking for my last name. I've been in other stores buying and looking for a storage place and they were really nice, but the customer service in this one is no good, even thoug I had a very good experience with the truck.

I went to the Waltham location and the employee there notified me the Brighton location had a pick up truck which I was looking for and that he'd return it. When I got to Brighton the employee there acted like I was a nuisance to deal with, couldn't find the pick up truck that was on reserve for me and gave me attitude when asked if there was anything else available in the same size. The vehicle itself was perfect and the move went smoothly. Upon return the employee outside checked the truck for functionality and after our pass, and verifying we had filled then tank past the point I'd originally received the truck with, said we were set. I come home and find an additional $30 charge for gas on my bill. I immediately call and the employee over the phone politely said that the charge was incorrect and would change it. I asked for an email confirmation and she said she would send it. I waited for two hours and nothing. I call once more and receive a different person who says the same thing and again nothing. I was promised at this point a correction and email receipt by the end of their working day and still nothing. So I call once more and get yet another individual who has no idea what I'm talking about and actually sees two vehicles in my name. Apparently the first attendant of the day couldn't do their job and so now the original truck that was reserved for me by the Waltham employee was on my file as well as the actual truck I used from the Waltham location. I don't blame the last employee for not knowing what's going on because sonewhere communication was lost. I'd think twice before going here...

I rented a cargo trailer that was improperly hooked up to my car. I got about half a block away when the trailer popped off the hitch and slammed into the back of my car. I called the 800 number but could not get through to the shop so, because I was blocking traffic, I hooked it back up myself and drove back to the shop to report the incident. When I got back they were apologetic and helpful and reconnected the trailer. Since I was in a hurry, the manager said to come back later and they would file a damage claim for my damaged bumper. When the damage claim was later filed, they changed their story and refused to accept responsibility, even though it was clear that they were the only ones that touched the hitch before it popped off about a minute after I drove off their lot. Mistakes happen. I understand that. But I expect that when you make a mistake you take responsibility for it. They have failed to do so at his location. Before and after this incident I rented several of these trailers from the Medford location with no problems.

My experience with this location was very poor!!! One of your employee did not explained everything to me before I signed the contract, she was just mumbling I could not understand what she was saying. My biggest mistake I didn't checked the truck inside. The dolley wasn't even hang where it's suppose to be, it was all over the truck! I drop of the truck at 7pm this morning I checked my acct and you people charge me 179.00 I was so pissed call your office . They told me the reason why they charge me that much because we did not fold 2 blankets, they said we broke the dolley hanger , which we did not do it!! I won't lie we forgot to put gas which it's ok 30 service . But the fact that uhaul charging me extra 100 for not folding the stupid blanket and a broken dolley hanger which we did not fit it!! You guys such a riff off , never again and I would never rent to you guys again
