The representative that took care of me, Karina Diaz was excellent. She gave me great instructions and was very patient with me helping me figure out the amount of miles I would be driving. She and one of the other representatives that was there; Luz answered all my questions with fulfilling response. Also, the gentleman outside, Anthony, was great, he brought the van over to me and explained everything with great detail. This place is has excellent service. These representatives are very well trained. Thanks guys!

The Utility Dolly should not be on a first come first serve basis. If you reserve the dolly online it should be available when you get to the store. If you are moving and need one, it poses a great problem to get to the store and not have one available. I find this unfair, and should be changed.

First, I called U-Haul on 138th St location one day before my reserved pick-up date. I spoke to a woman before 12pm and confirmed that everything was set for the next day's pick-up. She confirmed everything was OK. A few hours later I received a call from the same U-Haul location saying that they had no 14' vans available for the next day. I was angry because only a few hours beforehand a woman from the office confirmed everything was OK. The person I spoke to in the afternoon said that I would have to pick up a 14' van from the Grand Concourse location. I said OK that's fine. The next day when I went to the Grand Concourse location, the guy at the counter couldn't find my reservation # and my name. I took out my BlackBerry and showed him all the emails I received from U-Haul confirming my reservation. I don't think he was trained in what he was doing. Only after looking at my BlackBerry was he able to find my reservation # and name. While I was in traffic with the 14' van, I received a call from the 138th St office saying that I did not come and pick up the vehicle from them. I spoke to the agent and said that they were the ones who told me that the 14' van wasn't available at their location and that I had to go to Grand Concourse to pick it up. So that's exactly what I did. She felt stupid and apologized. I think your various offices need to do a better job of communicating with each other. That's all I have to say. It is tough enough as it is to move. The stress of having to keep track of phone calls from U-Haul locations on when & where I can get a 14' van is close to impossible. Please do everyone a favor and make this easy on us who have to move. Thanks.

My name is Bertilio Caceres. Yesterday, 4-10-14, I rented a 10' u-Haul truck. I asked to rent a furniture dolly, they said they did not have any available for rent. They gave me my receipt, it did NOT show any furniture dolly was added. I returned the truck as normal. When I received my email confirmation of final payment, it showed I rented the furniture dolly and did not return it. I was charged $75 for non-return of equipment and also charged $7 for renting the dolly. I called and they said I was given the dolly, they tried to only refund me $75 and not the other $7. Finally got the woman to return the $82 to my card, only have her repeating out loud all of my credit card information. In addition, I was charged rental tax for the $82 charged and was not returned that amount. This is all clearly deliberately happening at this location, there is no way this was a "mistake." I hope you can further look into this.

This location needs to change some of there staff. They are so rude, disrespectful and have nasty attitudes. There are only two representive there that I would recommend. One is name Karina and the other one I can't remember her name but she has fire red hair. These two are the most professional one there.

Just taking a quick minute to post a positive review for this place. I have rented a van 2 times from this location and I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences. I have read some really negative reviews but am pleasantly surprised that I have not experienced any of it. Sure the girls at the counter aren't thrilled to see me walk in but they do their job and they do it well. I have not seen any error on either of my bills. Everything was charged correctly and accurately in a timely manner, and to me that means more than anything else they could've done. If anything I paid less than expected both times. I am completely satisfied with my overall experiences and I would continue to make the trip over the bridge to this location for any of my hauling needs.

No instructions on where to find the off hours drop off box on the main door of the building. Lighting could have been better as this area did not seem too "friendly".

As a small a nonprofit business, my experience this second time was horrible. The manager and staff were not knowledgeable of the form names needed to submit for tax exemption. This delayed the process & caused undue stress while trying to complete request. Staff needs to be educated on the form names required for nonprofits. The federal letter of determination was sent over but not recognized. What was said by staff & manager was that that was NOT what everyone else brought in. What type of requirement is that? What I eventually had emailed over was the ST-119. Why couldn't they have just asked for this?

Friendlier people at your front counter. You're maintenance guys however, are exceptionally kind.
