I am very disappointed, not because of UHaul Campbell but because of my online reservation at UHaul Sunnyvale 939 El Camino did not guarantee me a truck at the time of pick up, and I was redirected to Campbell after much effort. I did not get a truck at Sunnyvale. It was not due to late customer return but due to simple overbooking by the system. This caused me a lot of unnecessary panic. Online reservation took my credit card number 5 days in advance, and I showed up ahead of time at the store. When I asked the store manager what I can do differently next time to avoid this situation the response is there is nothing I can do! That is totally unacceptable business practice. If the Uhaul company does not address this I have no choice but to tell everyone I know about this experience.

Dwight at this location did a great job at explaining everything, and was very personable. The whole check in/return process went very smoothly, and I wasn't blindsided by any chargers or details. The car was ready right when I needed it, and was in great condition

Really poor customer service I had scheduled a pick up and my truck was not there had to drive across town to go and get it. I would not recommend using u haul maybe as a last resort.

There is an outside service that is managing the reservations made for U-Haul. This is the second rental in the last 4 months that the operators have messed up for me. The first rental they booked me to pick up a truck at the wrong location, luckily White Oaks location (that I specifically requested to pick up at) had a truck available and was able to transfer my reservation back to my requested location. The first operator was also rushing me off the phone, I had to tell her that I was not done with the conversation yet, even though she seemed to be. This latest reservation I specifically booked the truck for 2 days, but my reservation was only made for 1 day. I was very clear I needed the truck for 2 days with the operator that was assisting me and it was still only booked for 1. The team that is physically at the White Oaks location are FANTASTIC! They are the only reason why I will continue to rent with U-Haul even though the reservation operators (that have helped me anyway) are obviously not paying attention. Next time I will go in and reserve with them directly so I do not have to deal with another frustrating reservation mix up.

I requested a different location and time (Hamilton ave & 10am) then what I was given (white oaks & 1:30pm). I never recieved a phone call like I requested while reserving online instead they sent me an email confirmation that I didn't see until after business hours. When I called the location I spoke with the after hours staff and informed them that 1:30 would not work they told me that the location was overbooked and that's why and I let them know that on the website it states if you can't give me the reservation I reserved then I'd get a credit and I wanted the $50 credit. the first agent said she'd transfer me to customer service I spoke with the customer service staff and she said she'd transfer me to the booking dept the call never connected. I called back spoke to a different agent who told me she'd transfer me directly to the booking area the call goes through and the message states the booking dept is closed and they closed at 7:00pm. It's 7:02pm. I hang up call back a third time and speak with a different agent inform her the first time the call never connected which was way before 7:00pm and that The second agent should've known the booking dept was closed prior to the transfer. I explain to her my situation with the times not working she states she will place comments regarding the $50 credit and that I can let the staff at the store know. Now jump to Saturday the day of my booking I go into the store to pick up my truck prior to signing I ask about the $50 credit the gentlemen behind the desk states it's in the notes so I'll get it. I let him know they told me to talk to the store and I wanted to confirm he then confirms with the manager about how the credit works. The manager says it will be automatically deposited into my account after I drop off the truck. now satiated that it's taken care of I leave come back get checked in I again ask about the 50 dollar credit the same gentlemen that checked me out states it will be deposited I tell him I want it in writing. I go inside speak the manager he states I won't get it because the credit is only if they confirmed my reservation for a different time and then called to reschedule it. At this point I'm irritated prior to leaving the store I confirmed I would get the credit and the staff said yes. I also spoke to 3 different agents over the phone that never mentioned it would be a problem or that what I was stating wasn't apart of the policy. In my initial reservation I requested a phone call if it was a problem with the reservation I never recieved a call at that moment I would have been able to let the staff know 1:30 nor that location worked for me. Overall not the best experience my first and last time reserving a uhaul!

your description of a "4x7" open trailer is missing and not accurate. The inside dimension of the trailer is 3'+. I had to upgrade my reservation to a 5x9 trailer

Your online reservation system is unacceptable. I tried to order a trailer in Cupertino. You called to tell me the nearest one was 20 miles away. This wasn't even correct. You gave my rental away in Sunnyvale & failed to transfer my reservation to Campbell where you promised me a trailer was waiting for me. It was just dumb luck that another trailer was returned just as I arrived. The people at the counter are nice; it's your reservation system that is customer hostile.

Very thinly staffed and it takes quite a bit of time to be serviced. Just not enough folks on duty in my opinion. When I went to turn my vehicle in, it took a looong time. I don't blame the folks there, they are fine. Just need more than one person at the counter. But they are close and always have what I need!

We rented a 10' truck on 9/16 and expected to return it the following morning at 9:30. My wife called on 9/17 at 8 AM because we needed it another day. The lady who answered and "helped" us was really bizarre. She would pause for long periods as long as 30 seconds without responding or saying anything and we couldn't tell if she hung up or was on the line. She couldn't answer any of the questions we had. We called back 10 minutes later and spoke to the manager at this location and he did everything for us. We laugh when we talk about how strange of a call the first one was but you should really go back and listen to it. Our only explanation was that she was high, that's how unresponsive and strange she was.

the mileage estimator for truck rentals SUCKS. I rented a truck from uhaul a few weeks ago and drove STRAIGHT from origin to destination and then to uhaul,. no extra mileage and I still ended up paying mileage. WTF? NEVER AGAIN WILL I RENT A TRUCK FROM UHAUL
