This facility is a well oiled machine. The staff here was very quick efficient and most importantly very very friendly. I came in to rent my trailer on a semi busy Sunday morning and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. As a former Uhaul employee I can honestly say that the management structure here is very effective and it clearly shows in the whole team there. Freddy and his team go above and beyond ! This was the worst rental experience we ever had. I reserved the trailer 3 weeks in advance. I was told the closest trailer was 1 hour away from our location! I was forced to pick up the trailer 1 day earlier than I had planned and had to argue with your customer service staff re: why they were sending us so far away. There was absolutely no concern. I was given an "extra" rental day to compensate for our "inconvenience". I asked if I could get an email to that effect and was told she would do so. Email never arrived. Called again, and was told she would send an email and a text with the information. I got the text, but no email with confirmation of the extra day. The next call, the customer service agent stated she wasn't allowed to send an email! The next call, the agent stated of course she could send an email, but never did. Supposedly, the "courtesy" was a "corporate override" and would show up on the computer when we picked up the trailer. What a dismal experience. Your agents apparently tell you whatever they need to in order to get you off the phone. We will NEVER rent from UHaul again!

The 26" truck had around 130,000 mile and was very difficult to handle. My husband almost lost control and could not recover due to horrible handling. The woman at the Sacramento facility said they take theirs out of service at around 70,000 miles. Not safe! Most trucks we have rented from this location were beat up and had a lot of miles. We continued to use this location for convenience and price.

Don't like the fact that you rent trailers with 4 prong connectors and if you don't have 4 prong you have to buy a conversion connector. Its your trailer and not my responsibility to have it work. That's what I am paying for in the rental fee which also was pretty high.

Nothing you can do as this place is perfect - except……I have tried the online advance registration a couple of times but there is never a record when I pick up the trailer. You could improve this. Thanks!!

When I was returning the van, it self locked its doors with the key inside at a gas station, and NO, I did not hit the fob by accident. It took me 15 minutes of waiting to reach roadside customer service. Then had to wait another 45 minutes for help to arrive AFTER being on the phone for another 15 minutes. The customer rep said sounds like the fob 'timed out' somehow. The helper that showed up said he's seen this happen numerous times. The fact is I NEVER lock my car at a gas station so this never happens that I lock myself out. Then when I finally reached the Uhaul facility and told the manager, he said they had just gotten new vans and so he can't speak to the issue I had. When I told him I expected a credit adjustment, he says all he can give me is $20 and he's going to have to justify this to corporate. Really? That's his problem NOT mine. The fact was I left Orange County, CA at 5am to avoid rush hour traffic through Los Angeles on an 80 mile drive and because of this delay I got caught in the traffic, and I had another 80 mile drive back to Orange County where I still had to shower, get dressed, and go on a job interview which I barely made because of the almost 1 1/2 hour delay waiting to get help and then the extra drive time through rush hour traffic.... and I get a whole $20 for my inconvenience?? And you expect me to provide a good review? NO! While I didn't expect to get my whole daily rental to be refunded, I sure expected better customer service from the manager and get half of my rental credited. Your response is??

We had a pick-up time of 8:00 AM. Upon arrival at 7:50, we joined the long line of other customers. Over an hour later we finally were ready to begin using the van. There was only one person working the counter. We lost almost an hour of our time that we were paying for just waiting in line. Unacceptable!

I could not read the electronic receipt on my home computer no matter how large I made the message. It was very fuzzy also. I could not fill up the gas tank. The pump would not let me top off but the tank only read half full. The truck had a cut in the sidewall of a rear tire which was noticed on the walk around. It should have been noticed prior to my usage. Great power for going up hills.

I made a reservation to picked up a 24' truck and got a confirmation to do that at the Golden Valley location, when I got there, they told me they didn't have me in the system, then I called the number in my reservation and someone told me it was cancel, and I needed to talk to traffic to check if there was another location where I could find a truck for me, in the meantime I had 5 friends waiting for me to help me with the move. They finally sent me to the location in Sierra Hwy where I ended picking up a truck almost 2 hrs after my reservation time. Not the best experience this time

I ordered a 15' truck to be picked up in Newhall, CA. All looked fine with my confirmed order. A day later, my order showed the truck would be located much farther away, out of town. I had to get a smaller truck size and change location to be able to get anything at all. This specific location was ok, despite a long line, but I'm very annoyed that the ordering process changed on me so much, without warning.

The truck part was fine. We rented a storage unit at this site. It took 90 minutes to get through the line to get our storage unit. I called the call center to place my order. Why didn't they ask for me for emergency contact information? Or let me know about renter's insurance? Or that I had to buy Uhaul's lock for my unit? When I asked the associate why these things weren't asked earlier he sarcastically responded, "I don't know. I don't how they are trained...I wasn't there". We had already waited in line 75 minutes before being helped and then we get this kind of answer? Then we wait at our unit for someone to open it and they forgot about us. Took another 20 minutes to open it since the employee we found said, "wait I need to clock in before I help you" and then he disappeared so we had to find someone else.
