Get a jack to lift the trailer up so the customer coesn't have to take a chance of hurting their back. I and a friend had to lift the trailer by hand to hook it up.

The drive way to this location is one way. I was trying to cross multiple lanes of traffic to enter the location on a very busy street. Once I made the turn there was a sign that said exit do not enter. There was a lady at the top of the hill who work for the location who was very open with her hand geatures that she was not pleased. As I pulled up she very sternly and very dis pleasingly explained that I had entered the parking lot the wrong way. I apologized and asked what she would like me to do now. She very rudely told me to circle the building. I did so and pulled up to the lane clearly marked drop off here. The sign also said to wait with your vehicle and equipment and someone would come assist me. Oh someone came to assist me alright. The same very upset lady that had been so nice before. She asked me why I didn't park my trailer on the other side of the building with the others. Very confused I explained I was unsure what she wanted me to do. This time she explained to circle the building and stop by the other trailers on the other side. So once again I circled the lot and stopped on the other side where the other trailers where. I waited patiently to be told what to do with the trailer. The same lady came over and told me to just park it with the others. She said this with much disgust as though I was stupid or was wasting her time. She had me park the trailer and offered no assistance backing me up to the fence and without doing any type of inspection or anything. I had a friend take my wallet and the contract inside before the situation between jer and I escalated any farther. She was very rude and unprofessional. In your above comments section you asked if I would send people to this location or use it in the future. I will do no such thing. In fact people don't ask for advice with that kind of thing but people do ask how the move went. We all know bad news travels fast and good news is very seldomly reported. Not trying to bad mouth your location but when asked I will tell of the worst customer service experience in my life. Hope whoever reads this gets that lady some people skills. I know that she is there all day everyday but please be paitent and understand not everyone knows how that place operates. When pulling in I didn't see the sign until it was to late with her vague instructions I followed every sign I saw there after and it still was not good enough. I was even more upset when I remembered I paid money to do business with this place and to be treated like this. Very upsetting.

The location was clean. The staff was nice. BUT, I originally wanted a 17' truck. U-haul general staff (not from this location) called me a few days prior to pickup day and said I'd have to change my pickup date to the day before plus drive 50 miles out of my way. I asked if they would have the next size up (20') at the Cape location. They said yes. I arrived at the Cape location. The woman employee was nice but couldn't get the 20' truck 'cause it had not been brought in. I had to settle for a 15' truck. This company does not have enough trucks available to handle demand, and the Missouri and national staff are not very helpful. Uhaul should know by now (as long as they've been in business) that moving is very stressful and schedule orientated and should accommodate it's customers better than this! I did not like that I called the phone number listed for the Cape location and got someone in Arizona. The woman that called mid-week and asked if i could re-schedule breathed on the phone the entire conversation and was kind of rude.

When I returned the trailer it was raining so the lady would not come out and help me and asked me to not leave at the return area but pull it around back. I had no help lifting and disconnecting the heavy trailer and then realized it was going to roll down the hill where I was to to leave it. I stood there for 40 minutes holding the trailer in place and called the store twice trying to get some help but no one would answer. I got the call center twice and they tried to send a message to the store but no one would respond and come and help me. I finally had to let the trailer roll up against my truck and then found a wheel stop to put in front of the wheel. She should have not told me to leave it on an incline. I will not rent from UHaul again.

The first time I called an older lady spoke with me and I didn't think she was very nice. It seemed she was trying to push me into renting the equipment because there was only one left. I told her I had to verify with my husband. When I called again I spoke to a younger voiced lady and she was quick, efficient and friendly. When my husband got there, the older lady couldn't find anything and he went through the entire process again-for a $10 trolley. She even stopped speaking to him to answer her cell phone. I guess she just had a bad day. We wouldn't want her to lose her job, but there was a definite difference between the two attitudes.

I had a trailer hitch installed on 8-8. They did not tell me that the installation did not include installing a pigtail for the lights. I cannot pull a trailer after dark. I scheduled (on 8-8) to pick up a trailer from the Fredericktown location. I did this while I was at the Cape location. When I called on 8-16 to find out what time I needed to pick up the trailer that I had scheduled for 8-16 I was told that the Fredericktown location is closed on Sundays and I would have to drive to Cape (one hour each way) to get the trailer. I also was not told at the time of my installation that the ball and insert for the trailer hitch was not included in my installation. So after I drove to Cape to get the trailer I also had to purchase this item. The communication at the Cape location is extremely poor. I will not use the location again. I will also steer people away from that location if at all possible.

The staff did a great job. They went out of their way to make sure everything was in good working order. The appliance dolly is also a life saver when moving a whole house with only 2 people. Will definitely use this location again.

Poor management, waited over 20 minutes. Only one employee wor king at counter and checking in equipment. When vehicle returned the woman couldn't find me in software. She had to call the manager Montel. Took way to long for checking in vehicle. Poor experience this time compared to prior experiences.

The truck i rented had so much play in the steering that u had to hold the wheel about 15degree the left. The suspension is so bad that when u hit a bump the dash sounds like it's going to fall of.

I had reserved a 24 foot truck & then was told the next week only could get 14 foot truck. Store made no attempts to help locate another size truck needed. I had to get one from another competitor. On day to pick up truck on duty staff could not open store because manager left no keys which delayed our day. Poor customer service.

I called 3 times to let them know I was not arriving on time. I had been delayed. A lady from uhaul recovery called and said she was going to report the uhaul stolen this morning 7/31 at 9 am. She was very rude to me. I explained to her what was going on and she was curt with me and she was going to file it stolen.

Just ask the renter to please read email, to make sure to find out if they are getting what they rent. I rented something but didn't get the size I thought I had reserved, my fault for not reading the email. Uhaul has been good to work with and I will refer them to any one that's looking to rent ther needs

We reserved a 17' uhaul with a reservation guarantee, but when we arrived they didn't have any of the 17' so they gave us a 15'. Its not really a big deal but if you have a guarantee you should follow through.

We had been told by Uhaul to oickup at the N. Kingshwy location however they were not opened. Finally reservations had a truck at teh S. Kingshwy location. By then we were behind and not happy. We resevered teh truck and furniture blankets. Finally got to the house we were moving from and NO BLANKETS. Called and they did bring them to our home but we were now way behind and having to pay our movers to stand and wait. This experience with UHaul cost us a extra $200.00 plus a whole lot of time and frustration.
