The one thing I DO NOT LIKE is the gas level feature. It is so hard to work with. If you simply had each person fill the tank so everytime you rented it it started with a full tank. It is a real bother to get one, as I did, have to stop to put gas in it because it won't make the trip and then have to really guess when you put some back in so it is the same level, which is impossible. The only one who comes out ahead in this deal is UHAUL. This is one thing that would make me look at other vendors. It is a very poor way to do this. When I rent cars, you get a full tank when you pick it up and return it with a full tank. Simple.

Dear Sir or Madam; On 9/1/14 I called U-Haul to reserve a@0' truck. I was told I could only reserve a 17' truck I agreed to reserve that one. I could pick it up at 7 am 9/6 and return it at 7pm 9/6. when my daughter and I arrived at 7am 9/6 a young man unlocked the door looking like he had just crawled out of bed rumpled uniform, bed hair His name was Zach. we paid the deposit and went to check the truck. after finding several dings and scrapes, Zach went back inside to get strips to put on each one. after looking at the truck up close my daughter and I figured out it was not a 17' truck but rather a 14'truck. Zach tried to tell me that is what I ordered and what was on the contract. Finally I was so upset I asked for a refund and we went to find other arrangements. we were not successful then I remembered that I had picked up a couple of business cards from uhaul My daughter called the cell phone number and a gentleman answered. He said he could not correct the truck size but he could charge us half since we would have to make two trips. Fortunately it was only 15 miles each way because we had to return the truck by 7 pm!! still it made for a long exhausting day plus we had to do everything in a hurry. I have never had a bad experience with using uhaul over the years so this was quite a letdown. The gentleman on the phone and the gentleman that checked us back in were very courteous, polite and efficient so I believe it was just the one young man who caused all the trials and tribulation Thank you so much for your time and consideration

the one thing I would do is to ask the customer how you can make this experience to meet their needs better at the time of doing the booking. moving is a emotional time, sort of like the funeral business, showing understanding, compassion and empathy towards a client(s) should go a long way to prevent marketshare erosion and grow word of month referrals.

I recently rented a car transport trailer and found that the web straps that secure the front tires was to small to fit around and secure my 19 inch tires ! I had to flatten the tires in order to make the straps work , and then Barely had enough , please consider updating your webbing straps on these types of trailers to accomdate the vehicles with 19 and 20 inch wheels

14' truck was filthy and smelled of dirty socks. They rented a truck with bald tires, which led to a blow-out and put my life in danger. NO compensation from U-Haul. NO apology from the pick-up location. Unethical and suspect business practices. Negligence.

Prices are ridiculous! Advertising for $20 a day, and then that being "in town only" when we were literally driving 3 miles out of town is absurd. We will NEVER use uhaul again.

There was only one check out person and there was a long line. I was there 25 minutes early and had to stand in line when I had a reservation. The problem was I had arranged to meet movers at 12:30 P.M. I only needed to know when I booked that here could be a waiting period and I would have planned accordingly. The truck was ready and waiting.

First of all I reserved a truck at a different location, one that was closer so I didn't have the extra mileage that I had to pay for, they ended up giving the truck away to someone else and I then had to go to this location to get the truck. The lady that I talked to had no idea what I was talking about, about the lady that had called to see if they had a truck that I could have and was very rude about it. Then they wrote the wrong amount of gas that was in the truck on the contract, and I didnt show them before I left, so I ended up putting way more gas back into the truck than I actually used because they wanted to charge me an insane amount for it. She asked how many miles I thought I'd go and I said 20 knowing that would be more than I drove, but wanted a round-about price for this trip. And she said I went 20 miles and I know I didn't go 20 miles. I was so very upset with this whole ordeal, I will just use a different company next time.

Left the uhaul parking lot with a little below 3/4 of a tank of gas in a 10' truck. Drove the truck a total of 10 miles and the gauge had dropped to 5/8ths of a tank of gas. Had to pay $15 to make up for the gas "lost". I didn't think that was fair for me to have to pay for that gas when I only drove it 10 miles. The gauge may be faulty. Maybe consider having a mileage charge if customers are moving locally.
