The associate who handled our reservation was not helpful at all! I made an 8 am resevation and arrived at the albemarle rd. uhaul at 8 am promptly. The associate looked at us and did not greet us at all until I said hello after standing behind him for atleast a minute. At first everything seemed standard until we mentioned we were considering upgrading to a bigger truck. The employee suggested we go out (in the freezing cold) to look at the various trucks available and he stated that one was "open" to look inside. He told us which # to look at and we went to search the huge lot by ourselves. We found the truck and when the back gate was opened we were horrified to see the entire 17 foot truck was filled with rotting garbage and moldy furniture permeated with a nauseating odor of decay. I almost vomited. We proceeded to check out another bigger truck which was not open then returned inside. The employee asked what our thoughts were and I immediately informed him of the trashed truck hoping to help him realize he had a huge problem, to which he responded "Yeah we know about it" in a matter of fact nonchalant matter. I am disturbed that any employee of any company could knowingly display such vagrant neglect and destruction of their companies property. We went ahead and upgraded to the bigger truck, which he was pleased with. After he breifly paraphrased the whole contract with us we were left confused as to the actual terms, and our questions were answered with what I would describe as an attitude of annoyance on his part (as if how dare we make him explain himself further). He advised us to sign the contract without inspecting the actual truck first, to which I told him I was not comfortable with. Again annoyed he said "I'm trying to help you out by not having you go back and forth in the cold". Against my better judgement we signed hoping to just be on our way to a long day of moving. We headed out to our rental and when we attempted to start the engine we could not, the dash stated "oil change required". So we were forced to return inside to fix the problem. Back inside another employee had joined the original behind the counter. The employee who had "helped" us was now assisting another couple, of whom I noticed he was treating in a much more cordial manner. The additional employee, who I assumed was the manager as he was delegating tasks to the other man, took a minute to look up from the register before inquiring of our issue. He stated "Oh its fine, It already had the oil changed. It will just take 15 minutes to reset the light". I informed him that since we had opted out of the truck insurance (My fiance is a professional delivery driver), I was not at all comfortable driving a truck with a potential problem across town and back. The "manager" laughed and said ok we will get you another truck as soon as (original employee) was done helping the other couple. At this point I became irritated. We had been there onwards of 40 minutes just try

The location was really clean, the truck was really clean, the front desk was really nice and helpful, I just will not have a personal stuff smoking when they are working or recibing a costumer. No employe should smoke when they are at work.

The staff at this location are very professional. There was on gentleman there working customer service alone while his supervisor left to go to the bank. He was absolutely great!!! Unfortunately I can't remember his name. He is an African American (light complexion with braids in his hair). His comustomer service skills and interpersonal skill were outstanding. He worked very well under pressure. He had at least four customers in line to pick up rentals while he was alone. He not only took care of each one of them proficiently and personally but he also acknowledge each customer as they got in line and let them know that he would be with them shortly. I was very impressed with the way he maintained his professionalism under pressure. Keep this young man around, he represents your company well. Although i can't remem his name I won't forget my customer service experience. I do believe his name started with a T and he was there at 9:00 on January 22, 2015.

I made a reservation for a 9' cargo van on U-Haul's website. In short succession I received a confirmation by text, a phone call from this location, as well as an email with a copy of my contract. Very efficient service. The van was clean and ready for me right on time.

Too much paperwork after spending way too long on the phone reserving the equipment. When arriving no one had the information. Non consistent with the last time I rented as you started to nickel and dime me. Matter of fact if adjustments are not made to this order I will dispute the entire charge. Adding things on to the rental I did not agree to. Will not return to this location and will not rent again. Customer service is lacking and with a lousy attitude.Employees should be brought back to a training program and taught what customer service is and who is the customer is. The guy who runs this location is incredibly arrogant and is not worth my time.
