Busy day Drop off was a little unorganized mostly because people drive up and just stop and park anywhere and everywhere in the lot. Maybe some orange cones or something is necessary

Not enough customer service personnel. No one readily at hand to check in returned equipment. Had to wait in a very long line (people checking out) to tell an agent to get someone to accept my returning equipment.

Please improve flexibility and customer service. I understand that people don't have many options when it comes to renting veichles to move with so you don't really have to have customer service... But I would certainly be more inclined to recommend U-haul to a friend if it were a more customer serving environment.

I will never use U-Haul again. I booked over 1 month in advance for 24 hrs from 8/31-9/1 for $30. Two weeks later I get a call letting me know my reservation was changed to 6 hours on the first - without my consent. I spent hours on hold to get the reservation changed to 12 hours. A week later I get another call to let me know my reservation was changed again for 6 hours without my consent. I spent hours on the phone and finally had the GM of the LP location tell me for $70, I can get 24 hours but an unknown location. I am handicapped and don't have a car and they couldn't help me out with a guarantee in the city. The night before, I get an email saying my reservation time was pushed back but i still have for 24 hours - again without my consent and I still am paying $70. We picked up the vehicle no problem and confirmed drop off location was the same as pick up location. That evening I receive an email saying "per our conversation, you are confirmed for a different drop off location" I had no conversation. We went to drop off the vehicle at this U-Haul location and could not find it. After an hour trying to find it, I called and was told that it was a 3rd party that held U-haul vehicles - we had been looking for a u-haul. The customer service agent was able to rearrange my drop off location to the pick up location with no problem. Terrible experience and I will never use ever again and I will recommend anyone to NOT use this service.

Although in the end it all went smooth is was because I had to call about 6 different people. If you're reserving a truck online, your confirmed time isn't really your confirmed time. They have the ability to change it without you even knowing about it. A "confirmation" is a confirmation, not something you switch around.

Selecting a time for pickup was not available for this location on your website. It was not a big deal to call them after I have reserved the truck to explain I would be in at 830 am instead of 7 am but this is one of the best Uhaul locations in Chicago - you should take the time to integrate them better with the general Uhaul reservation site.

There has been a few experiences with Uhaul that we're very in pleasant. This was my first experience with the Lincoln Park Uhaul and everything was quick,easy and hassle free. Everyone who worked there was respectful and nice. They were willing to help when I called a few days before with questions. I will always use Lincoln park uhaul in the future.

I've rented a number of trucks from this location and have always had a good experience. However, this last time I rented a truck, drove 7.9 miles, and was charged for over 4 gallons worth of fuel. I noticed the fuel gage was lower than what was originally marked and the Uhaul representative assured me that I would not be over charged. When I received my receipt (I returned the truck after hours) the receipt said I had returned the truck with a lower fuel gage reading than I actually had. I called the Uhaul location and the manager who was suppose to call me back never did.

First off, we rented a storage unit, as well as a moving van for one day. Employees were very uneven in their ability and helpfulness. Gordon (who was on the ground) and Will (behind the counter late in the afternoon) were very helpful and knowledgeable. We wish they ran the place. Megan Moore, who apparently does, was cold, unapproachable, and unhelpful. She and her other employee (I didn't get a name, but she was African-American) treated us like they were robots. The African-American employee was rude, standoffish, and confrontational when asked simple questions, and was often unable to answer them. She required three (three!) emergency contacts, including names, and phone numbers *and* addresses for two of them with no explanation for this necessity. When asked why, she was non-responsive, and neither she nor Megan Moore could provide an adequate explanation for why two individuals couldn't be provided access key cards (we've formerly rented from a Uhaul location with the exact same Max security system and a second key card was no problem). Megan Moore purposely made us wait to talk to her, gave us attitude for asking, and didn't apologize once for anything. We then asked for her superior's name, office phone number and email, and she was evasive, only providing a name, not clarifying a gender, and telling us we would have to call the national Uhaul 800 number while gesturing towards a door the number was printed on, not providing the direct line or email, claiming she "couldn't remember them offhand." Further, and most egregiously, neither Megan Moore nor her female underling gave us any of the critical information we would need for our experience (such as how the access cards worked at this location, or where we should park our car or even pick up our rented van!) Fortunately Gordon and Will picked up the slack. Our suggestion: Put them in charge at once!

Call to confirm everything. The website not only reserved a truck at the wrong location, it added packing materials I didn't need. Had to go to the location day before my move and get a refund. Not what I needed.
