Took 45 min to get the truck (waiting in line then waiting for them to bring the truck out) but it was ok that I returned it a little late. Pleasant customer service. Old-ish truck but clean. Awful screeching sound when turning the wheel but he asked if there were any mechanical issues when I returned it and he submitted that to the sytem.

Nothing. GREAT, fast, friendly service even though it was totally chaotic following a large parade, close to closing time, and a Sunday... there was a constant stream of renters in the few minutes I was there.

The signs directing where to return trucks (as opposed to vans) is hard to see from the road and is on a green background instead of the usual U-Haul orange. Fortunately there was a member of staff on the sidewalk who directed me to the correct entrance to return the truck.

Their customer service is horrible. The service in the morning was terribly slow. I called back after I got my receipt and was told I would be called back and wasn't ever. The call was to complain about them charging me extra for gas fill-up and I already had filled the tank before I returned it. I left the receipt in the front seat and when I dropped off the van I was told it would be ok but apparently it wast.

My truck's Driver-side door lock was broken, so to get inside when the doors were locked, you had to unlock the passenger side and climb over to open the door from the inside. Additionally, the rear gate to get into the storage area of the truck was broken, and would slide up farther than it was supposed to, and then become jammed to the point it took 4 people to close it again. This is ignoring that I had to wait an extra 10 minutes while picking up my truck for 2 employees to finish having a confrontation that just barely didn't escalate to physical blows. I also was originally scheduled to pick up a truck from a different location, and even after calling to confirm the availability right before leaving to pick up the truck, when I arrived at the store location they told me I would not be able to get a truck until 6pm, even though my reservation was for 3:45. All of this was greeted with minimal apologies and no offer of a refund or discount on services. I will never use Uhaul again.

My dad waited in line to get a truck (we didn't originally have a reservation) and was told that there was nothing available until 3 pm. I went online and had the options of booking the same truck he asked for for 9:15 AM, 10 AM, and so forth. I booked something online, sent him the confirmation and then he got the truck. I wish the people working would have been more helpful and been able to tell him he could get a truck, instead of having it take me to research online and book something.

Please note that complaint is still on-going. I am currently waiting to hear back from the local branch representative. What happened is, when I picked up the truck, the fuel level was below the usual level indicated by the contract. The representative who issued me the truck, Michael Jackson (double checked), hand wrote and initialed the level and instructed me to fill up the gas to that level when I'm done and leave that contract in the truck. After use, I filled up the tank to that level and returned it. Unfortunately, it was afterhours so I left the contract in the truck, locked the doors and put the key in the box. A couple days later, I see it in the contract/email that I have been charged $6.38 for fuel charge. I called Lincoln Park Fullerton branch on sunday (6/28/15) but unable to talk to them but got the customer service rep instead. I explained everything and she left message for Michael Jackson. Today (Monday 6/29/15), I called back to the branch (as I was told by the rep) but my call is still picked up by custoer service rep. Now, I am upset that even after I did what I was told, I am still being charged extra for fuel. If you are not going to check the contract for original fuel level, you SHOULD NOT issue a truck when its fuel is below the proper level. PLEASE GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. Thanks.

There was a computer issue that caused the lines to be extremely long and I was late getting started on my move by an hour. I know these things happen and the employees were working hard and doing their best. I added the comment to justify the average grade. I have used this location in the past and had a great experience.

I had an 11 a.m. reservation, arrived ahead of time and checked in online. I then had to wait almost an hour in line, and I didn't drive away until after noon. Why even have a reservation system? If I had known what would happen ahead of time I would not have used your company's services, and I plan not to use your services in the future.

Terrible experience front to back. Specically at this location there were bundles of moving pads spilled onto the floor adjacent to a door way and stair well. This made is neccisary to pretty much climb over them to get from lot to office. Our reservation was moved from another location at 4055.N Broadway. When we got there manager Sal refused to honor our reservation time even though confirmed and pre checked in. He then without consulting us picked up the phone and moved our reservation to a location 30 minutes drive away from where we were. I told him this was unacceptable and he basically told me to bad, if I wanted a truck I had better go there. I refused and called customer service and guess what? Truck at fullerton location much much closer. Sal was rude, ineffective and terrible in every aspect of customer service. He has also subsequently failed to return an email from me calling for action on his part after his inaction and lack of caring on my move day. Shame on Sal and shame on uhaul for putting him in that job.

I dropped off the truck at 7:45pm was told my Total charge was $50 due to an incorrect mileage reading on my contract yet my bank account was charged $72 ???? Basically tried to scam me but I caught them,questioned them yet they still overcharged me complete bullshit.

We requested an EARLY as possible pick up time and were given a 10:30 late morning time and switched our location for pick up. We had to call several different times and locations to finally talk to someone who could help us.
