I was given a quote over the phone ("Our calls are recorded to help us keep our promises with you") informing me that it would be $0 to add an additional u-box to my original order of 2 u-boxes. I asked again to verify that the agent gave me the correct quote. She said "Yes, its showing no additional charge." I ordered the additional box based on this quote, only to be charged $1,000 after the shipment was completed. Management refused to refund me the $1,000. My choices were to abandon all of my belongings in the box (as I had already moved across the country) or pay the unfair charge. I am pursuing the refund through the Attorney General's office.

I hadn't rented from this location in about 10 years or so but the same great service I received then, I received this time. Each customer service rep was polite, knowledgeable and explained the process to me very well. I was in and out in record time with little hassle except when I messed up and came in the wrong direction, but they were very polite about it. I look forward to future interactions with this location and its employees because they make me feel like they really care about my business. Thanks! God bless you always!

Please have customer parking available! There are only a few spots in an already very tight parking location. I was the only customer there and all the parking spots were taken - do employees park there??

I would like to speak to a company representative about an experience i had at your franchise location in cincinnati at Jen's Furniture & More at 7990 Reading road suite 500. we had a contract to pick up our rental there originally but upon arrival were told that since we were an hour late that they could not rent to us. they rented our truck to someone else. they refused to help us find another location we could get one at and when I insisted they threw me and my 80 year old mother out of the building. I did nothing to provoke this incident. This location should be closed as a uhaul pick up spot. the young man at the counter was rude and thought our situation was funny. We had rented the truck to move my mother from cincy to newark ohio to retire. this was very stressful on her as you might imagine. we are considering legal action for the undue stress caused on a senior citizen just trying to retire.

It was not clear at all when I reserved the 9' cargo van that the daily rental fee was 78.95 per day which includes 100 free miles. The only amounts shown were $39.95 for the van, $20 for the insurance, and $0.59 per mile. The receipt upon my return was even more confusing, showing $0.29 for 269 miles (my total miles) when it should have said $0.29 for 69 miles. I went back to the store the next day to have the bill explained to me. I now understand it but you need to make all amounts clear at the beginning and at the end of the transaction. The van itself was fine - easy to drive and load and unload. Your personnel were courteous and friendly.

My overall experience was very poor. My reservation was completely messed up. I had requested to pick up my truck by 9:00 AM on the 18th. When I called the location that I was to pick up the truck they did not even have a truck at that location. I was then sent on a wild goose chase calling 5 different locations before being put in contact with the Gilbert Avenue location. At that time I was told I could pick the truck up at noon. The website states that reservations are guaranteed or U-Haul will give you $50, I never received $50. I did, however, receive an additional bill in the amount of $92+. When we picked up the truck the paperwork showed that there was a 1/2 tank of gas, we took a picture of the fuel gage to show that it was in fact not at a 1/2 tank. When this was shown to the manager when the truck was returned nothing was addressed. At the time the truck was picked up we were given a discount of the cost of the truck itself and the cost of mileage however, because I was unable to pick up the truck at the requested time and was then forced to keep the truck longer than anticipated I do not feel that the extra charges should be added to my bill. I received today, 8/19/2015, a bill stating that the amount needed to be paid immediately or it would be sent to collections or an attorney who would collect the amount. I do not believe that this is a fair assessment of my account seeing the issues I had with obtaining the truck and the error on U-Hauls part with the reservation. I would like for this to be reviewed and addressed as soon as possible. I contacted the Gilbert Avenue store Monday 8/17 to speak with the store manager and was told that they were very busy catching up from the weekend however I never received a return call. I can say that this is the worst experience I have had with U-Haul. I have not had to use your services very often but I can say that in the future I will look for other means when it comes to relocating so that I do not have to go thru this again.

I was unable to drop the trailer at the location I had requested and I had to drive across town to this location instead. A minor inconvenience but an inconvenience non the less. It would have been nice to be notified ahead of time.

They upgraded me however all charges were changed and did not reflect the van costs. In addition, we had to drive further because the gas station Marathon had no gas. So we put more miles on the vehicle at our cost and had to drive down the street for gas. The people were pleasant.

Location location location!!!! As I was talking to your staff about dropping the trailer off, my wife was being verbally assaulted by a black man who was either high or drunk. Fortunately I showed up just in time to tell him to get out of there. If you're going to have a uhaul location that large in such a terrible place in Cincinnati, 24/7 security would be a common sense move. I will not be renting from this location ever again.

I just dropped off the truck and autotransport board. I was not sure, but not many people were working at this place. I couldn't find the workers right away. It was a bit frustrating since we were in a hurry.

It took over 30 minutes for someone to help me check in and get the truck I had rented. I was not greeted when I walked in, and was completely ignored for those first 30 minutes while the employees behind the desk proceeded to talk to customers about non-business topics. When I finally was helped, I felt like an inconvenience because the employees had "five other things that needed to be done."
