i did a reservation on line. the website referred me to portland i called portland they said they did not have a truck and that someone would call me no one called so i called back to portland they gave me a number to someone in corpus. i called corpus and they said they would call me i waited an hour and called them someone finally confirmed a truck for next day at port location. i asked for 7am pickup they said i had to wait till 8am. this is south texas and it is 85 degrees by 8am. you need to open earlier.

If anything... possibly explain about mandatory insurance needed BEFORE the transaction is completed. Overall very satisfied with the service and I would definitely come back to this branch. I will also recommend it to my family and friends.

only complaint i have is they did not have the 17 ft truck available i needed and when i changed order was changed it was moved to the u-haul location on crosstown when i originally had it scheduled at the one on webber in corpus christi

Nathan was amazing! I thought he was the manager and found out he wasn't. He sure is management material. We bought a hitch and rented a trailer and had a few problems. Nathan made such an impression on us. The other person was Alex who came over from a different location and was spot on with the electrical issues we were having and finally Alex Garcia Thank you for expediting our installation of the hitch. My daughter is now moved into college and all her things delivered as expected. Definitely recommend everyone here very highly. Best wishes to all.

Horrible service! First, I made a reservation to pick up my motorcycle in Kingsville, then I was told I would have to travel to Corpus Christi to pick it up. When I asked if I'd get a discount for having to travel an additional 4 hours (and hour up and back to get it and an hour up and back to drop it off), I was told "no." When I asked if I could have extra time to do this, I was told "no." Great customer service from U-haul… When I got to the pick-up location, it took me 55 minuted to pick up a motorcycle trailer that I had a reservation for. There was one person ahead of me when I arrived, two employees huddling over one computer, and one employee laughing and playing on his cell phone in the corner. Then when I finally was helped, that process took about 25 minutes. Are you kidding me? So of my 5 hour ordeal, an hour was spent picking it up, four hours commuting and about 15 minutes actually using it.

I returned the equipment on a Sunday and was pleased that there was 3 employees available to receive the trailer.. which made it very efficient and quick... so for that thank you.

I had to put approximately 24-25 additional miles on the truck and pay for that mileage because there were no trucks available in my local area. I live in Portland, TX and used the vehicle for maybe 15-16 miles in my moving. Trucks should either be taken to the local area or the customer should at least be able to return them to their local area U-Haul rental Center as opposed to having to pay for mileage that is not used in the move. IRS Allowable mileage reimbursement is well below 99 cents per mile, so the additional money is just profit for U-Haul. Because of this, when I need to move again, probably within the next 6 months, I will seriously consider other companies before uhaul.

I was very satisfied with the service, however the truck needs the transmission checked. Also during my trip I forgot to program the roadside assistance number, so I called the store and didn't receive the e-mail as promised until 2 hrs after I arrived at my destination! That to me was inexcusable!

I did express check in, so why did I then have to do a complete re-check in on e I got to the store??? I thought express check in was supposed to expedite things. Also, the staff forgot to put the furniture pads we ordered in the truck. I had to go back for them. Is that a sign of location competence? No. Was the staff person I dealt with courteous, clear, and helpful? No, definitely no, and minimally. Come on. How about some training g in common courtesy? I think that location can do better.

The only item for complaint, was I had reserved a 6x12 trailer with with a ramp. When I arrived, the trailer available was with a gate, not a ramp. However, that was very minor. I was able to work around it with little effort. Overall, the experience was good.

Contracted Pick up point for Portland. Point changed without notification to Corpus Christi. Had to drive 12 miles out of the way. Waited 15 mins for service, but truck was clean and staff very nice. Will not go online again. They don't get it right. Go to the business itself.

i made a reservation for a guaranteed trailer but they ended up giving it to someone else. They ended up sending me to four different locations across town. I ended up going back to the original location and got a smaller trailer and didn't get to fit everything. Now I have to make another trip for a one way. Also I was promised the $50 guarantee but I was still charged the full amount.
