The van that I used had smelled of cigarette smoke. I was going such a short distance that I didn't refuse the van. I think it is a shame if people are allowed to smoke in rental equipment.

Take a picture of the miles on the speedometer! I was not given a chance to look at the one on the van I rented. I took a picture of it once I drove out. It read 6809 , I took picture of it at 6810. When rental was done I noticed that the agreement said 6805! I didn't complain because I didn't have the proof or time to argue. But I could see how padding the mileage here and there could add up. In my case at .59 cents a mile equaled $2.36. Renter beware! Shame on you Uhaul!

Apperently when renters fill the gas tank they do not wash the windshield, and no one else does either. I spent 10 minutes washing it inside and out after I drove the truck home. Other then that the truck worked out great.

The truck was a bit in the older side, about 110k miles on it. There were a lot of scratches on it that were not marked, which took quite a bit of scrutiny when I picked it up, which I found a bit annoying. I only had to drive the truck about 8 miles in all, but not sure I would have trusted it on a long trip. The transmission seemed to race a lot when it wanted to change gears

Your processes seem broken in terms of your staffing and how you use them. There should ALWAYS be someone (at least ONE, preferably TWO people) at the counter helping customers, and at least one or two guys in the yard bringing up trucks or equipment. When I go in (which has been frequently the past few months), invariably there's no one at the counter, 3-5 people in line, and a lot of frustrated customers. Someone finally shows up, helps the next customer in line (5-10' process at least), then they dash out of the office to go chase down a truck for them, etc. NO! Have someone in the yard doing that! Keep someone at the counter. It's incredibly frustrating and I don't know why this can't be fixed. You have the personnel...just use them properly!

This location needs more employees. On a Monday afternoon, there was only one employee helping customers. That same employee was also helping load a freight truck with U-Haul boxes. At one point there were 6 customers waiting for the single employee to help them. This location sees a lot of traffic because of OSU and they should be staffed so no customer is waiting for more than 20 minutes just to buy moving boxes or pads.

1) location: understaffed. If I have a reservation for a vehicle, I don't want to wait on someone else while they select boxes. 2) My gripe is not with the location or service on location. It's the phone service. Poor connectivity so sound quality is bad. I've been hung up on before I even get to speak to someone and disconnected mid reservation. Phantom reservations: reservations get made that shouldn't have been... wrong locations (locations that don't even offer the service I needed: trailer hitch) and wrong size trucks. Multiple calls were required to reserve and resolve one service. Double billing! Even resolving the double charge was a pain.
