- Had to ask to have the trailer cleaned. - The safety chains were twisted up to shorten them but they started to hit the road and I had to adjust them. The chains should be shortened by attaching excess chain to the sides of the tongue. There are hooks welded to the sides of the tongue intended to hold the excess chain. - The third breakaway chain was not attached. - The H-Haul videos are useful but lacking in some areas like how to swing in close to a drive way and then out so the trailer is positioned where it can be backed into a driveway.

A twenty person line up is a little ridiculous. I had to wait about forty minutes, amongst plenty of angry customers, before I got my truck. Aside from that the service was satisfactory. Truck was clean and had no problems doing my move.

There was sticky soda or something spilled on the seats when we got the truck. The tow dolly towing the car didn't feel safe because when I went to brake the truck had a hard time slowing down. I wish they would have told me about this. The passenger side wiper needs replacing.

Everyone we met was nice and helpful. Although the lady we were talking to on the phone gave us the wrong address and sent us to the U-Store it when we ranted a van - not storage. At first we thought it was us but when we looked at the email later we noticed it was the wrong address on there as well.

Booking and pick-up was a breeze. However we returned the truck after hours. The following morning we received a phone message stating we hadn't returned the key with the truck, and that they were considering the truck "un-returned." When I called the number left by the U-Haul employee, it was a central phone line, who could tell me nothing about the situation except that the computer said the truck wasn't returned. When I asked for the local office number, she said she couldn't give it to me but would send them a message for them to call me. We waited around for 3/4 of the day and no one called. A day later I received an email receipt. So can I assume they found the key we returned to their dropbox? A follow-up, courtesy phone call would have made all the difference.

My initial drop-off location was at 363 Caldwell Dr., Cole Harbour. The business posted hours of business stated Sunday opening at 10am. I arrived at 9:45 and waited until 10:20am which was a waste of my valuable time considering we were in the middle of a house move and I had lots of important things to do. I called your customer service and was told to leav eth keys in the vehicle without locking it. I was uncomfortable with this suggestion considering the fact that the vehicle was my responsibility until I sign it back to you and there was no proof that I actually dropped it off. Instead, I chose to take the option of returning it to another location. This meant instead of me dropping off at the scheduled time of 10am, I wasted an entire hour of my off-time trying to return this vehicle. I have used U-Haul several times in the past and this is the only time I have had a problem. Your customer service reps were extremely polite and professional, so I do not fault U-Haul at all. However, I believe you should consider addressing the the issue of the reliability of your Cole Harbour, NS dealer. It is unacceptable to waste a customer's time in this manner. Otherwise, I thank you very much for a hassle free rental which I consider a very good value for money spent.

I was originally supposed to pick it up at a non-uhaul location, but do to your archaic computer system and not being able to do it manually, I was referred to this location after a phone call was made. I was upgraded to a truck from a van at the same cost. This did not happen as I was charged the .69/km instead of the .39.

Reservation was incorrectly entered, therefore I did not get the trailer size I requested. Customer service agents were rude and unsympathetic. I would never use Uhaul again if I could find a different option to rent a trailer. They gave me a smaller trailer and charged me the same price. They even tried to charge me for an extra day until I noticed the payment amount did not seem right.

East Indian Employee at service counter was very rude and embarrassed me in front of other people.Was charged for insurance that I had originally refused and discrepancy with milage... Customer service was very poor.

They need to meet the customer outside or just inside the store to let them know they need to get there trailer hooked up before they wait in line at the front counter to be told that. Also move all of the shelves from the front counter area so you can see when the next clerk is available. Store is junky looking. All of the staff was friendly and well experienced. I would defiantly recommend them. The rest of my experience was very good.

It's unfortunate that "bike trailers" are not available for one-way rentals. Forced to rent a larger trailer when a small bike hauler would have worked much better.

Trailer blew a tire could not even tow my car. Wasted my money and now have to call a tow truck to spend even more. No spare tire had to sit on the side of the road until 3am in the morning. Not very good. Would like my money refunded.

We had hoped to use our rented truck for 24 hours. We were picking up a piece of furniture very close to the UHaul location in Burnside. Turns out the furniture was damaged at the warehouse and we had nothing to pick up. We returned the vehicle within two hours to UHaul. We had driven a grand total of 5 kms. Because the gas gauge had dropped below 1/2 UHaul charged us $17.28 for the gas used to travel 5 kms. That is way too expensive in my view.

On Pick up there were no protective blankets available!!! I had ordered 3 dozen with the truck rental. Without these damage to furniture was going to be a problem. This is a BIG issue for me. I was forced to make alternate arrangements which cost me $$$. Not good service. The truck had no air coming from vents for air-conditioning, it only would come from foot vents. This made it very hot in the cab. Not what I expected and unfortunately I did not notice until loaded. Window wash was empty, which was minor but should have been serviced.
