Due to the fact I am not sure how much gas the truck holds, trying to guess how much to refill for return was a bit unsatisfying. I was told to return truck with 5/8 tank of gas, and it was overfilled to 7/8 of a tank on returning. There is no reduction of rental charge due to overage of gas? With the prices of gas now a days, this is a huge credit that I have given your business and feel there should have been some discount on my rental due to giving you "free" gas in your truck.

Test the battery before you send out the truck. The service station started the truck and brought it to the front. I took the truck to my stop and turned it off to find I could not restart it. In addition, the cab was noisy and the check engine light remained on the whole time. Glad to get rid of the vehicle at the end of the night.

The truck I rented was not well maintained. The battery cables were not properly secured to the battery terminals. This in turn drained the battery requiring the truck to be jumped. Over the four day rental the truck had to be jumped three times. The Uhaul location claimed the issue was not all the accessories being turned off and subsequently draining the battery. But as I explained to the staff this was not the case as I made sure that all the accessories were off to prevent this particular issue following the first drained battery. The right mirror of the truck was not properly secured and was blown inwards when the truck was driven on the highway. This created an unsafe driving condition. Finally the right rear taillight was burned out which in-conjunction with the right mirror created unsafe driving conditions. Finally the air intake hose in the truck was not properly connected to the air intake in the engine compartment. Fortunately for myself and Uhaul no incidents occurred as a result of the lapses in maintenance on this truck. The manager of this location did step-up and address the issues I identified at the location the vehicle was parked on the third day of my rental. I give kudos for his effort. But unfortunately that is where it stops. The manager admitted that the only time items on the truck are addressed is if a complaint by a customer is levied for any items to be addressed outside of the scheduled maintenance. Yet he was aware that the battery terminal posts on the battery side have a tendency to loosen due to there position, the mirror design is not of the best quality and has a tendency to loosen, and that the air intake was not secured but just fitted on which was not a big deal. This may be deemed an acceptable practice for Uhaul, but in my opinion is purposeful negligence in maintaining your product. As a customer when I rent a truck I expect and demand that it be in full functioning order, and all maintenance and known trouble spots are addressed before renting to a paying customer. The manager did provide a $30.00 discount for my troubles the day after the equipment was returned. But given the liability Uhaul would have faced had an accident occurred due to the mirror, taillight, and battery, this is a poor return for my troubles and the risk your company placed myself and property in with this negligence. I expected more, and have yet to receive an explanation I was promised following the Uhaul return. At this point in time I will never rent from Uhaul again. In addition I will be sharing this experience with as many individuals as possible.

Great job! I had some truck troubles in transit which was going to make returning my trailer on the originally scheduled day tough; they extended me one day at no charge! (I was able to return on time after all). As I did so, I didn't even have to get out of my truck (it was cold) and they disconnected the trailer, got me on my way, and promptly emailed my final receipt. The parking lot at that location is a smidge cramped, but service was outstanding. Thanks!

I was not happy with 2 of the 3 employees i dealt with; they acted as though me being there was an inconvenience. John was the only one i dealt with that did not treat me like i was a bother. I was most upset when i went to get the truck. Greg was talking to someone about something not work related, and when he did acknowledge i was there told me, "hang on, we're doing guy stuff." i wouldnt have minded waiting but did not appreciate being talked down to.

We had scheduled a pickup time at 9am on a Sunday morning, getting the truck as soon as possible was very important, we had family members waiting on us to get the move started. We arrived at the location a little before 9am and found a lengthy line of people waiting. From what we could see there was only one gentlemen working, he was doing a wonderful job, working as speedy as he could, but because of the high demand and low workforce we weren't on the road with our truck until after 10am. I am a business owner with employees, I realize how hard staffing can be, but one more person working at the location during the high volume pickup time would have made a world of difference, just a suggestion.

One guy running entire shop. Telling stories to customers at counter when line 7 deep! Then truck wasn't ready and single attendant frazzled explaining he didn't know, and can't do it, and every other excuse even though I set it all up online and even did early online check it-- still finally got truck 1.5 hours late! When I asked him why it wasn't ready he said," I'm trying not to rush myself". Well excuse me for wasting your time, Johnathan! This location needs a management and personnel change. Great location, good showroom lots of equipment-- all poorly managed and undermanned and undertrained.

I was careful to fill gas tank to 3/4 full which it was not when I picked up the truck, but close so it was find. However when I returned the truck I was told It was 1/16 of a gallon below the 3/4 mark that would amount to two ounces. I don't think you have a gauge that precise,and to turn pleasant rental into a hassle. seems to tell me to rent some other place next time.

They made no indication that the furniture pads were a rental and call me to tell me I have to bring them back. Seems absurd considering they are crummy felt cloth that wasnt useful at all and now I have to make a trip back 23 miles each way to return them or they are going to charge me $5 per. At least tell the customer that a cheap cloth in plastic wrap that you paid for is only a rental.

Upon returning my trailer I explained a few issues I had with the rental, 1. the door only opened halfway. This kept me from moving everything back in one trip. 2. All lug nuts on both wheels were loose. Im glad I checked before leaving, this would have been a huge safety issue. 3. The trailer shook/vibrated the whole trip. Upon inspection by the uhaul location, it was determined the belts had separated on the tires and the tires needed replaced. Another huge safety issue for myself and my family while on our trip.

I had requested a 10' box truck and when I got there, they were renting the last one to another man who had one requested next to me. After trying to convince one of us to change to a cargo van, I was finally given a 17' truck to rent but the employee helping the man next to me acted like it was a big deal giving it to me and doing it for the price of a 10' truck.
