My complaint for years has nothing to do with the sites. There is a disconnect with the service to which calls forward. The "national" number doesn't know what is really going on in the local store level and each mgr has broad procedural authority. This translates into tremendous confusion at the point of pickup/dropoff, after ALL the work has been done by a person remote to the store and you are at the point of pickup/drop off. And the mgr even admitted the remote support staff are told to lie about being local which I don't really care about if all mgrs. followed one set of national rules without any authority for discretion OR remote staff knew when to ask the mgr to call the client. MOST of the complaints you can hear from multiple other customers while you are on site reflect the same disconnect between what remote support/scheduling SAYs and what mgts are authorized to DO. It is not the store's fault per se either.

I reserved a truck and a furniture dolly because I was moving a piano. I arrived and was told they didn't have a furniture dolly (...) so I asked why, since I had the confirmation that I'd reserved it, and was told that just because I reserved one doesn't mean they'll have one. That is a VERY serious flaw. I reserved equipment because I NEEDED it. What I got was basically "can't ya. Sorry." So then one of the gentleman offered to check another location (Beavercreek) to see if they had one, and they did. So I was told I could go pick it up there. That at least solved the problem, and the other gentleman didn't charge me for the gas or mileage overage since I had to drive to get the dolly, but I don't understand why, if I reserved the equipment, that someone could not have ensured that the equipment was there! If the other store had one, why did *I* as the customer have to go fetch it? Why wasn't the dolly obtained the night before or that morning so it would be ready for my use? Again, they did provide enough help that I was able to move the piano, but I can tell you that I'll be looking elsewhere next time. Very disappointing.

The man at the desk didn't seem to happy to be there the morning we came to pick it up, but that could have been due to the fact it was early in the morning. When we dropped it off, however, staff was very friendly.

You guys need to make sure you check the inside of the truck because when I got home and opened up the their was ketchup smeared all over the one wall, that is my one and only complaint, overall good service.

The only reason the location did not receive an excellent from me is because they were under staffed it took 2 hours to get my rental, there were no issues with equipment the team member provided excellent service just understaffed.

There was only one staff person working. We were in line for over an hour. We rent from this location fairly often and this happens a lot. On the weekends, you all need 2 employees at this location. The man working the counter was going as fast as he could and obviously working hard but he couldn't get people out the door faster than they were coming in. Eventually a second person showed up but only because someone in line knew the second employee and called them at home to tell them how bad the line was.

Truck and employees were ok, only problem was that I had made the reservation a week before at the Huber Heights location which is 5 minutes from the house. When I got there I found out that it was a 26 foot truck instead of the 20 foot I had reserved, Since I could not back a 26 foot truck into the driveway at my destination in Cincinnati, I had to go to Linden ave, where they had the last truck in the entire Dayton area. Instead of starting at 10 AM, I didn't get back to Huber Heights until 11:30 to start loading with my helpers who had driven from Cincinnati and were twiddling their thumbs for an hour and a half. This is consistent with every time I have reserved a U-Haul truck. They have never 1 time had the truck I reserved in advance available at the location when I arrived and I have had to go somewhere else to pick up the truck. The manager at Huber was very nice and apologetic about it and gave me a credit but it is still frustrating for this to happen every time.

The location and staff were great, however the truck was very outdated and needs major repairs. Understandably the truck was the largest offered, so it probably isn't rented all that often, but the AC would go out after about 5 minutes in the truck, and the truck had a major tear through the roof of the truck. It just happened to rain the day we were moving and soaked the entire back of the truck!

Customer service was terrible, especially when I dropped the truck back off. I was initially told I had 24 hrs. to return the truck and I actually was returning it 5 hours early and he acted like I was late. He definitely needs some training in customer service.

Would be better if Uhaul would average out the gas usage and not say it was,a,full tank.The gas,gauge,was,moving up and down so i put more than i used.If the Uhaul gets,7 miles per gallon let costumer fill it to how many gallons per mile and show receipt.
