I was given a truck that needs many repairs. After only going 6 miles, the truck broke down and it took 5 hours for roadside assistance to send someone. They finally came and room over an hour to fix. The brake light was on, there was no power steering fluid in the truck, the driving shaft was broke, the brakes almost went completely out, and the gas hand was broken. When I went to return the truck the customer service was horrible. Candler rd uhaul knew that truck was in horrible shape, but didn't care. I could have gotten into an accident or caused one. I will never use uhaul ever again for my moving needs.

When I brought the truck back, I put the exact amount of gas back in the truck. The woman that worked that day told me I needed to put more gas in it or I will be charged a $30.00 service fee and $5.00 a gallon. In other words I was robbed. I never was so angry about so called customer service in my life.

I was spoken to in a very unprofessional way over the phone by customer service, cursed/cussed at by customer service members and hung up on as well. I was also yelled at/loud talked and repeatedly cut-off while discussing disagreement issues over the phone. And this was by Managers in the regional corporate office! I have requested a manager call me back about these matters and have yet to speak to someone about it. In addition I was also misinformed about the billing of the insurance by u-haul. This is by far the worse moving rental experience and possibly the worst customer service experiences I have experienced in my life. I will not be using this company again as I dont feel it's dedicated to customer service, only making money.

Considering I was overcharged on mileage last time (for which I didn't get recompensed, despite contacting the manager and being assured "it would be taken care of"), I didn't have high expectations this time. The truck was in poor condition (abysmal gas mileage, parts falling off), and when I went to drop the truck off at about 1030p, there was someone, presumably an employee, parked washing down their rv in the truck return spot and took a good 10-15 minutes to finish washing down the truck they were also their with. Don't believe me? Watch the security cameras if you have them. Probably will save myself the trouble and the sketchy late night truck cleaning encounter next time.

At pickup, the wait in line seemed interminable, and there was only one customer ahead of me. While being serviced, I had to wait out an extended phone conversation, approximately 10 more minutes. The personnel are knowledgeable but only friendly to one another. They were short and impatient with customers.

My reserver station was lost. I had to wait for someone to bring a truck so that I could move. When I inquired how this happened, the attendant attempted to reprimand me by telling me that I was late. I immediately advised her (Krystal) that I called to notify you I would be a few minutes late because on a moving day, unexpected things occur but that regardless of late or on time you have no truck when I clearly reserved one so that I would not have to be at the mercy of other ppl. They kept acting as though they were doing me a favor by moving my reservation to the location I reserved it at because somehow my lost reservation got assigned elswhere. Then upon returning the truck, there was no one outside to check the truck in and the person responsible for doing it was inside texting while we waited. Several other customers were returning and confused on what to do. It was very unprofessional and I even had to listen to a rant from the person who finally completed my rental about my attitude and why I was so "unpleasant". This was after he asked me if I needed a dolly which was all found on my reservation. Overall, I will do my best to rent from another Uhaul location.

U-Haul sets up customers to have to pay for gas upon return. Because U-Haul does not place the gas meter (I was to return the vehicle with 11/16 in the tank, which I did) just below the gas gauge, it's easy to tell customers that they must pay extra for gas. One-sixteenth is a pretty tough thing to eyeball and I'm certain I had 11/16 of a tank of gas. In the end, it wasn't worth arguing over $10, but it would be great not to feel nickeled and dimed. Still, the service was fine and the truck ran well. As expected.

I used this location because of its reviews and they are as nice as all the reviews that other people have left. I showed up at the time that was scheduled and was helped right away and the sales person was very helpful and explained everything very clearly. For my first time renting a Uhaul this location made it a good one. I only wish I could have remember his name, he deserves recognition.

Please note that this is not the confirmed location. The location at 2710 Bouldercrest Rd, did not have a available truck so I had to travel to Candler Rd. in order to pick up the truck.

The truck we got was in poor shape and leaked oil and transmission fluid all over our driveway. We were scared to drive it back and now have stains we can't remove. The trucks need to be maintained better. A young man who checked the truck out to us Saturday (September 20) was extremely professional and went above and beyond the call of duty to clean our truck out.
