to have just TWO staff members available to process returns on a long weekend is just terrible management. i feel bad for the guys who had to deal with so many angry and annoyed customers.

Maybe have some more people at the front counter; there was a bit of a wait to pick up the keys to the truck, but it was a Labor Day weekend, so I am sure things were very busy!

My evaluation is in dispute - along with some charges. #1- Future renters - BEware the 'GAS' guage 'although' indicating "full' is not actually the 'total'/full capacity of the tank-the TANK holds 'more' -- so if (you) fill the tank when returning (you) have just - "over-filled" the original mark. ADDED- I was told 8-10 MPG-I used the low end as a guide;and was expecting to use 11/12 gallons for a 80-100 mile move(you do the math) 8x12=96--my trip 89.2 mi- re-fill 23.739/gal.-my MPG-*3.7mpg*-less than half of 8mpg 2x the comsumption and * 2x* the $$ cost $$...Future Renters-May-be plan on( 6mpg) and open That gas tank 'cap' view the 'level' and Observe the 'guage "level" when Re-Fueling DO NOT OVER-FILL "F" mark #2 - I receive a 'U-haul" lock that DID NOT open with the key provided. Suggestion - lock 'lock'/off truck and check 'if works' when doing 'check-out' #3 My 'ramp' for a 26ft truck was' SHORT'-Didn't think I needed to check 'ramp' on check-out - make sure you do this. #4 make sure 'security' devices on moving blankets and 2-wheel dolly are "new" and secured.--My dolly tab was 'old' and 'brittle' and "snapped"/broke-open;I was charged for use and DID NOT USE. WORDS TO THE -less fortunate-CHECK 'EVERYTHING'

U haul has gone done hill with customer service. Had lots of trouble getting location I wanted, called CS and was transfer several times. I asked for tie down rope and it was at different location than u-haul. Asked for truck to be moved to closer location and the request was refused. I did place order on-line but did not find out location was switched till day before. Train CS rep to handle all issues and quit transferring to another.

The truck stunk! And I was supposed to get extra miles to drop the truck off at an alternate location and the. Was charged for over mileage! Bullshit! Since I didn't drive anywhere but from the uhaul pickup to my house, to the new house and then to the drop off your company picked. Seek another location!

The truck I was given was in extremely poor repair, and shut off twice in the middle of an intersection. I almost had to call for assistance, as it took several minutes to get re-started. Neither the radio nor the air conditioner worked. Upon return of the truck, the associate who checked me out never even offered an apology for the bad experience. I will never use U-haul again. Ever.

Need more people working. Only one guy working and running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. He was doing the best anybody could do, but there was a wait time. Please, give them more help. There should always be at least 2 working at any given time.

The staff at this location was far below average and significantly less than helpful. It would be hard to find a much more inadequate group of employees. Having worked in the customer service industry for years I was shocked by the lack of attention paid by the employees. I will never rent from this location again.

The man helping me with the uhaul told me I would be refunded the insurance for the days I didn't use the uhaul. When I went inside the man behind the desk, Carlton, informed me that he wouldn't. He seemed annoyed and like he didn't want to help me or even be at work - maybe he was having a bad day - however In customer service you just have to suck up your bad days or don't come to work. I felt disregarded and as if my concerns weren't heard. If this is uhauls policy I think it's a load of crap and will not be using them again.

The managers and employees were in the back working on what looked like a personal car and 3 of us waited for 15 minutes before I went back and said excuse me there are 3 people waiting to be helped. When someone finally did come back he said he couldn't help the first guy the manager had to. The manager took another 3-5 minutes to come help the first guest. Then another 15-20 to come back while I still waited with no help. Someone came in for their shift and she was kind and quickly got ready so she could help me. She looked me up and when the manager was done he said that I couldn't drop off here cause they were full even though I had this as my scheduled drop off. He said I had to go to the 8th ave one. Did not give directions, did not apilogize for the inconvenience of me having to drive another 15 minutes away as well as my friend who was following with my car. The manager was super unhelpful and rude and had horrible customer service. The thing that made me even more mad was the 8th st location was also full so I ended up having to go to the one on federal. Uhaul ended up wasting about 2.5 hours of my time and neither of the mangers at the alameda location or the federal location were friendly or showed any type of customer service. I won't be using uhaul ever again if I can help it because the complete lack of humanity in general.
