The woman who provided service was unprofessional and did not know what she was doing. She told me to drop the truck off at Webster Ave. in the Bronx. When I got there, they would not accept the vehicle. Also, when I rented the vehicle, no one told me I could use it for four days. Very disappointed in the service at this location. When I called to rent truck, they promised it had a CD player, which it did not. Everything about this location was substandard

The entire road service issue could have been avoided if the corporate location had done the inspection it should have done before we picked up our trailer. The counter help was shockingly rude & VERY disrespectful. We will look for another company when we need this service again in a few months.

I reserved a Transit; when I went to pick up the van, I was early, asked the lady when the Transit would be back, I called before I returned, asking about if the Transit had been returned, I came back at the designated time, saw three Transits in the lot, completed the transaction, walked outside, and discovered a GMC van. I wanted the Transit due to comfort and fuel mileage. On top of that, when I reserved the Transit, the guy estimated the cost at $175. My bill was almost $250. Quite a difference. Plus I spent a fair amount more for fuel due to the GMC van. Disappointing...

These brilliant rocket scientists managed to send me to a drop-off location that DIDN'T EVEN EXIST! When I went to pick up the truck, I literally stood there in the office while the young woman at the desk physically turned the monitor and showed me on the actual computer the map of the drop off locations in the area. I picked the one closest to my home and she clicked OK, good to go. So, after a long, exhausting day of moving and driving all around Columbus, imagine my complete frustration arriving at the drop off location just to find out that the abandoned business and overgrown parking lot which was supposed to receive my truck no longer existed! I called to ask what to do, I got passed around to 2 or 3 different departments and after 45 minutes of waiting on the phone in this parking lot, the customer service lady in the rescheduling department said she would add 10 more miles on to my trip (like it was some sort of favor for me) so I could drive the truck to a different location, completely out of my way! I demanded to speak to a manager (which she couldn't produce, stating she'd just left for the day) or a national customer service number so I could call and complain to someone who could do something about it (it should probably be on your paperwork somewhere, she told me). Good grief. I had to put additional gas in that god-forsaken rattle-machine that was my 26' UHaul truck and drive it way over to the new location. What kind of freaking side show business is this company "running"!? It's beyond embarrassing and I will NEVER use or recommend UHaul myself or to anyone I know ever again. I've never had such bad customer service in my life. I mean honestly, it's a couple extra bucks of gas which I could get over, but the complete waste of ~1 hour of time on the phone and additional driving was so far beyond inexcusable while NOTHING was done to benefit me. Where is my discount? Where is my refund for the extra gas money it cost me to take it to the new place? I had to waste extra money to get me back to where I was originally going as well since the extra 10 miles took me in the wrong direction. I'm going to stop now because this is ridiculous and I'm getting angry again for nothing. How archaic is your stupid database of available UHaul drop-off locations? This building had been closed for years! RIDICULOUS! Good luck to you. I hope you manage to actually read this review and do something about it. If not for me, at least for all the other sad saps who will unknowingly use your "convenience" from today until you go out of business. I will tell everyone I know of my incredible experience, I will never ever return. Good day, and I hope you choke on a lifesaver, or zip up the tip of your penis in your jeans, or when you do your laundry, I hope all of your clothes are turned halfway inside out, but not fully, so you have to do something about it before you fold them and put them away, or that you get a really sore finger the next time you clip

Started out great. We picked up the truck at 3pm and we were allowed to keep it till 9pm. We returned the truck few minutes after 7pm but I got a bill for 2 days because the rental place didn't open till 7am on Monday. I called and told them that I returned it on time. They said they will give the credit of the over charged portion. I was expecting some kind of email about the correction of the bill but I didn't so I called them back. They told me that the amount was credited back to my credit card but didn't issue anything. I didn't like that part at all. Maybe you guys should install scanner for returning the vehicle/tool so you won't assume we didn't return it on time. Also, it would be nice to recieve corrected bill online. Thanks.

An issue I want to bring to your attention. When I went to pick up and pay for the vehicle I was told I was on a "list" and could not rent a uhaul. I had to call and 800 number and get some halfwit explanation of how I ended up on the list. And it was something about me formerly hoeing a card with a different number or something. It was also mentioned that it was I was a known associate. At any rate no one could give me an explanation of why I ended up on this list etc. It was embarrassing and ridiculous bc if your employees can't explain why a person is on such a list what is the point. After I called rhe 800 number I was able to rent the truck. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before.

Make sure that people realize that when they say they need the truck for 4 hours that they need to bring it back in 4 hours. Apparently some of your customers can't read as the guy that had rented the truck before me was 1 1/2 hours late returning it claiming "I thought I could have it for the whole day".

One big problem!!!!! I was told my credit card would not b charge until AFTER I returned van. I was charged 80.00 for a 19.99 rate van and I have still not be credited anything!!!!! Frustrated

When I reserved the truck online I selected moving pads and there were none in the truck. I also spoke to a uhaul customer service rep online about tie downs and they said they would be in the truck. They weren't.

The dolly and packing material in the truck (that we had not rented but had the option of using just by breaking the tiny green plastic holder) we're not a convenience. They were in the way and made the move in and out of the truck a hassle

When arriving for pickup of the truck in the morning for a move, they had incorrectly booked my time, stating they had me down for 8pm and not 8am (double checked my confirmation and it was for 8am). The employee failed to apologize for their mistake, offered no solution (I suggested the option of another truck they had), and got extremely defensive when I was rightfully frustrated (he went as far as saying that it was EXTREMELY uncommon for people to book a truck for pickup in the morning...implying it was my fault that they had put me down for the wrong time). Very poor customer service!! If you don't want a headache on your moving day, find another location!
