The Evanston dealer was fine. The Morton Grove, IL dealer was not. I had to wait for over three hours to get a hitch installed. During that time, all of the maintenance bays were empty. -- Also, the owner did not add a trailer to me order as I requested. He installed the hitch but it never dawned on him that I also needed a trailer.
After the hitch was installed, he said he didn't have a trailer for me which necessitated me having to go to the Evanston dealer. All in all I was very displeased with your Morton Grove dealer and regret giving him the $300 business. In retrospect, I should have had all the work done in Evanston.

The ONLY PROBLEM WAS MY TRUCK WAS NOT AVAILABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHICH MADE MY MOVE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT!!!! I needed a 26 foot, but was told over the phone the only thing available is the 17 foot. Fine, i was willing to deal with it, but once i got there all they had were 10 foot!!!! WOW!!! THAT WAS HORRIBLE :(

Im not happy that the uhaul place couldn't do anything for the ammount of gas I put in because the gas guage wasn't working properly. I ended up putting $50.00 (for a quarter tank,) In the tank because the truck was not registering until ten to fifteen minutes later. And I didn't even use that much gas. I felt like the man I dealt with at the end didn't care and shrugged his shoulders. Didn't care if I was going to use there business again. .. So long story short, I spent more money then I needed to, which I thought I was getting a good deal at first, turned out, not to be.

Everything was good but I was charged for 70 miles, whereas I just travelled for not more than 30 miles. Well, I guess it's hard to prove I'm right but I know I am.

I had a horrible experience with my rental. I had told them I would drop it off after hours, he did not show me where to drop the key and when I returned I couldn't find the drop box. I called customer service from the location in Evanston and they said it would be okay if I dropped the key at a nearer location (Waukegan) the next day, which I did. The van itself was returned on time. They charged me an additional 71.00 for dropping the key in Waukegan though the van rental was only 19.95. I am still disputing this.

I don't think you guys can improve anymore. I had a great experience, hassle free, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable . I will definitely come back next time I need a rental.

The truck with dirty and smelled bad. Just a quick general cleaning with a rag cloth around the cup holders and the seats would help so much.

Changed pickup location on me, changed equipment on me, wrong pickup date, wrong pickup time, miscommunications within UHaul local and corporate, worn tires on the trailer. Only good thing was that I wasn't charged more for the larger trailer that was substituted. There must be a better way to handle one way rentals without all of the mishaps and you must train your representatives/franchise owners to do a better job of meeting the customers needs/requirements, I was told one thing but what what input into the reservatuion system turned out to be something entirely different. Anyhow I would try to avoid using UHaul in the future if at all possible. This is difficult as the competition does not sem to be that much better!

I originally reserved the trailer for two days starting Thursday AM, and called during the morning of the second day to ask for a third day. That was OK. After I returned the trailer Saturday night after hours, I was only charged for 2 days, not for 3 days. I did call to tell them, and person on the phone said this is fine.
