A/C did not work. When I mentioned it to the CS guy who recieved the truck on return, he said that he had been telling them for some time that the air was not working in that truck. No mention of a credit or corrective action was given, though.

It takes a way too long to make a rental,you ask too many questions trying to leave yourself risk free for a service you are getting well paid for. Your Computer system is so slow one wonders if you are not still in the 90's or further back with programs.I went to two different facilities to make this rental purchase and got handed off to another technician because they wanted to help someone else who came in after my arrival! Ryder ,Budget or some other Company will be getting my business in the future! Take time to have someone in your management to go around incognito posing as a customer and check out your field employees and you may understand customers frustration It took me a full three hours to rent a simple Tow Dolly!!

We rented a dozen moving blankets and making the arrangements was told the cost would be $10.00 for the 12 I was NOT TOLD it was Per Day. If I had known that I would have brought my own. Very disappointed. Gloria Thompson

Over the years, I've rented moving trucks from U-Haul several times. Although in the past, I've had trucks that were in fairly bad shape, this most recent vehicle was in the worst mechanical shape I have ever driven. The transmission sounded like it was ready to fall out at any time. When accelerating, it jerked violently; when slowing, it not only jerked, but 'lunged forward' as it moved through the lower gears. Had I not been under such a time crunch, I would have returned it for another - but with U-Haul, that could have taken a while, and I had to make the move that morning. Moreover, when I returned it after use, I was going to 'fill' the fuel tank to just above the required level (which was 7/8 full). As I was pumping the fuel, I noticed that it was taking a long time. I turned the ignition switch on to check the fuel level indicator, and to my amazement, the indicator was far beyond the full mark (about 40% past the full mark). I ended up putting in about $75 more in fuel than it should have taken. I realize that pumping fuel until the pump nozzle 'kicks off' usually takes the indicator to a little past the full mark, but this was ridiculous. I don't know how much this tank would have actually held had I not checked it. When I turned the truck in, I informed the attendant of my safely concerns with the vehicle, as well as the fuel tank capacity issue. Although he reimbursed me for the basic cost of the truck rental (39.95), U-Haul should never have allowed a vehicle in such bad shape to be used on the highway. And I imagine that there are many folks out there who have experienced the same shock when they attempted to return a vehicle with a full tank of fuel. At the very minimum, U-Haul should caution people to check the fuel gauge when filling, and to not wait for it to stop pumping. Very, very, dissatisfied customer here.

I used a truck and returned it in an hr. Today I got a call saying I never returned the truck!! I tell them I returned it they put me on hold and hung up on me twice!! Sorry service never use em again

Was told the dolly was in the truck, it never was then got charged for it. Another issue was that our tow dolly that was given to us for our car was the wrong one so we had to drive all the way back to get the right one...one of the ladies working there that my husband dealt with was to lazy to figure out what tow dolly fit our car correctly .

The truck was difficult / hesitant to start. I thought I was going to get stuck with a loaded truck in my driveway after loading the whole thing. After trying to start the truck I had to let it rest for a second and turns the key again while pumping the gas to get it to start. It started everytime, but made me worry the whole day about getting stuck with a dead truck. Most of the trucks from this location seemed old. I'm guessing 1990-94's. The guys at the counter were nice and helpful.

Customer service rep cindy Heston is to chit chatty instead of getting paperwork done correctly. She,said she needed a credit card for 2 identification but she never looked at my license. I explained I wanted to pay cash my move was of a personal matter. She took my cash and gave me reciept. But I was also charged on my bank card 82.86 not sure why it was more. She told me my bank would have to refund my money it would be them to hold my refund. I called my bank and disputed this charge. I think she did not want admit her mistake which caused me problems. She has poor customer service skills. Will not return there or refer friends.

The two associates(2 ladies) that helped me were very nice and friendly despite the fact that the store was slam packed full of customers. They did not make me feel rushed at all.
