Inside windshield was dirty. I was verbally quoted I had 117 miles to travel to grand junction. However the paper work said 89 miles. Also, service rep was in a hurry to have me sign paper work and never took time to double check the paper work.

We returned the equipment on Sunday when they were closed. The entire parking lot was jammed and we had a very hard time finding a place to park the 26 foot truck with a 12 foot trailer plus a separate 12 foot trailer that we had towed behind our car..Fortunately a tow truck driver came to pick up his truck for an emergency call out and was able to help us with parking the vehicles. this u-haul location shares the parking area with an auto repair as well as a tow company.

Our Toyota Highlander's transmission went out on our way to Colorado Springs. We had our vehicle towed to the U-Haul location in Glenwood Springs because national U-Haul told us there was a ten foot truck there with trailer so we could load our Toyota onto the trailer and tow with the truck, and continue our trip. Once we arrived there, "Don" told us a ten foot truck could not tow our Toyota on a car hauler, so we were told to try Rifle, CO - we called them, and they said we could haul our car with ten foot truck. They said we needed to get there. As we were leaving a customer came in with a 20 foot truck, so we started paperwork on that truck and trailer. After we did that, the store manager came in, overruled "Don" and agreed with national that we could use the ten foot truck, so we started that paperwork too. The trick apparently was to list the Highlander as a 4 cylinder and not a six cylinder, then the computer would accept the rental. Really? The truck was going to be completely empty but for my wife and me and 2 suitcases. So, it took almost 3 hours of waiting in line, changing paperwork and ulitimately almost being denied this rental because of employee incompetence or a national computer error. How much more can a six cylinder weigh over a four cylinder?? 50 pounds? The store was understaffed and employees undertrained and they had no people skills. Manager seemed to know what was up.

lot was very crowded with little room to pull in with trailer. i parked on shoulder of very busy CO82. attendant was prompt but not very courteous. seemed stressed after a long day working on vehicles in the shop. i did arrive 5 mins before closing and he made no fuss. he was efficient on the check in. overall happy with the experience!

Uhaul sent us to a location in Carbondale CO that does not accept trailers, only trucks.

The employees were professional and the inside was clean. But the parking lot was filled with cars and trucks for the repair shop. Therefore it was next to impossible to enter the lot from the very busy Main Street.

The representative, Don, there was very rude at drop-off. He did not help with the parking of the trailer and there wasn't much room to drop it. He then charged us $25.00 for folding moving pads. He was not receptive to talking about those costs. I was not informed I needed to fold the pads. The experience will make me consider another rental company for my next move.

Truck should be on location rather than parked in a residential area a mile away. Inside of the trucks they needs to be wiped down with Clorox wipes.

The manager I spoke with on the phone was rude. I asked if they helped load vehicles onto the trailers and was told, "NO! That's why it's called 'YOU-Haul'!!" The lot was too small to accommodate all the vehicles and I had to walk several blocks to get to the 14' U-Haul truck. I would never have left my vehicle at that lot for fear it would be damaged. Luckily, one of the associates assisted me with loading my vehicle onto the trailer. The truck worked fine but the 'ratchet' on the belt holding the front driver's side tire was worn out and the belt holding the tire in place kept coming off. I got stuck in a parking lot in Denver, Colorado, after Midnight and contacted the U-Haul customer service center. I was told if I was in an unsafe place to call 9-1-1. When I said I was having problems with the nylon belt holding the front tire, I was told to find a computer and view the video, which I had before renting the piece of junk and it does not show how to fix a worn ratchet. I finally contacted my personal vehicle insurance company. They were able to go online (NOT via U-Haul) to assist me in retightening the ratchet which was loose my the time I reached Colorado Springs. I was told by the U-Haul rep in COS that they have "no way of knowing the ratchets are bad until they go bad". I guess U-Haul doe not have a maintenance program in place. Scary.

Don was great as were the 2 younger guys that came out to assist and were extremely helpful. The owner however, needs to throw in the towel. This was my 2nd visit to this location and he was there both times. The 1st time I just shrugged it off to maybe a bad day. The 2nd time he was so extremely rude that I will never return to his location.

A poor location to drop off a busy Hwy. and extremely limited parking spaces. I was more nervous of backing into something at this lot, more than I was the previous 3 days driving the U-Haul trailer. Unfortunately, they need more space.

I made the reservation on a Thursday with a nice young lady who took my credit card information and told me this was all she needed so one of my employees could pick up the truck on Monday. On Monday morning, I was called by a rude older gentlemen who demanded another credit card number because I didn't have a corporate account. He was EXTREMELY RUDE and I will never do business with them again because of this. EXTREMELY, I was super polite as was my employee. Completely unacceptable for first thing Monday morning.

The truck where the driver/passanger sit was filty. The driver door did not open/close properly. The entire time the truck was moving, the door kept making noises as it would open any second. I had to drive with one hand and hold the door with the other hand. I was lucky that my move was only a few miles away. This truck was in terrible condition for a longer drive and I paid full price service ($90 +).

The location was not open when we dropped off the truck. There was a drop box, where we left the keys. We received our reciept within 30 minutes of when the location opened the next day.

They don't accept drop off in Carbondale. So I drove to Glenwood.I was talking to any employee as to where to park the trailer. I turned around and a man had my truck door open and one foot in my cab. NOTE:My kid year old was in the passenger side. After seeing someone trying to get in my truck I sprinted over and pulled the guy out.. It was an employee who said "I was in his way" Two other employees ran over and called the cops and would not let me drop the trailer. I will be seeing Uhaul and Alpine Motors in court.

Your car trailers do not come with a long enough tire strap. I was not able to attach my car to the trailer and ended up paying for a day of use, even though I could not use the trailer and returned it a couple hours later. The length of the strap was too short, and I've found this on a couple of occasions, there is no reason not to have a longer strap end!!!???

I also dealt with Uhaul Carbondale CO. Terrible customer service. Also were not open posted hours. Claimed they closed early due to weather - it was cool and clear when I got there over an hour before closing time.
