Pickup experience was subpar...Gloria Hinton was quite rude and completely contradicted everything the agent had explained to me on the phone. From the time I arrived until I left with my rental truck she was rude and attitudal. Never even told me her name. I know her name only because of my paperwork. However, dropping the vehicle off was a completely different experience the gentlemen (not sure of his name) welcomed me immediately at the door. Tiffany Thames was very pleasant and answered all my questions, she also walked me to the door as I was leaving the building. She was quite delightful!

The trailer we rented smelled horrible, like urine. We had no issues with the personnel in the office and would recommend them, but if we had had a choice, we would have taken a different trailer because of the smell.

Our reservation changed several times as for as pick up location. The online system would send us a confirmation via email, but the requested trailer would not be available. Final straw was the phone line being out to the pick up location so we couldn't make appointment on Sunday. Then being told that the reserved trailer size wouldn't be available anywhere in the Mississippi coast area and we would have to,drive to Sldell, Louisiana. So we opted for a smaller trailer and changed how we were loading, having to take apart furniture and put quite a lot in our tow vehicle. When we got to pick up location, they were scrubbing floors at opening time and we had to wait until it was dry enough at the counter. Then I had to challenge the person hooking up the trailer about which drop draw-bar I needed to use. We had brought 3 different length drops with us and. Wanted to ensure that we were not trailer nose high or low. He had us hooked up nose high and said it will go down when you load. Since I pull travel trailers with my vehicle, I knew it wasn't going to add enough tongue weight, so I insisted he switch to my longer drop draw-bar. He was unhappy about this, but loaded, it pulled correctly. So overall, it was an unpleasant U-Haul experience. You asked...

The cost was double what I was expecting when I turned in my equipment. The $19.99 advertisement is FALSE! .99 a mile is a little steep. I felt like I was getting a much better deal when I moved 3 hours away than I did just moving 5 minutes down the road.

The wiper blades were worn out which put the safety of myself and personal belongings in severe danger. Torrential down pours inundated me about an hour into my trip. I was very uncomfortable the entire three hours I drove as it continued to rain. Please make sure the vehicles are properly inspected before renting to keep customers safe and company free of lawsuits. Not sure if I will rent from UHaul again.

Need to go through the vehicle regardless of age and educate user the new features of the vehicle. No fault of theirs except it created a bad taste for me when I called the support folks. They were slow and not experience with the vehicle and features. Not going to stop me from using your services, just that I need to know and ask when picking up another vehicle or others. Keep up the good job and correct the weak area.

Nothing I broke down in Gulfport and called your emergency servicebbecause the tow trolly was not working correctly . The maintenance individual was respectful and helpful

I would like to speak with management. I intended and agreed to a 24 hour rental but due to uhaul employee error, I was charged an additional day. On a Friday evening, I rented a pull trailer, padding and a dolly to travel from Gulfport to Birmingham and back to Gulfport to return the trailer, padding and dolly in 24 hours (or so I thought) before close of business on Saturday. I knew the sales person was in a hurry to go home, but as I got to my truck I noticed he forgot the padding so I called out to him and he ran and got the padding. When I got home, I noticed he also forgot to put the dolly in the trailer as well. I fully intended to leave for Birmingham at 5am on Saturday and return the rentals the same day but due to employee error I had to go back to the store Saturday morning, wait for the store to open at 7am and then head to Birmingham 2 1/2 hours late. This put me so far behind schedule that by the time I arrived back in Gulfport, the uhaul store had just closed and I was unable to return the rental until the following day which was Sunday. I was unfairly charged for a second day of rental. I checked my bank statement online and found the added charges had been posted to my account! That was the only indication that I had been charged an additional day as no one at uhaul told me of the added charges when I dropped off the trailer, padding and dolly! Please rectify this wrong.

The woman who checked me in was unprofessional in her manner and had an "attitude". I have had pleasant experiences from this location before which is why I've used them but will not go here again. The young man who checked me in on my return was professional and sincerely courteous. I will be moving more articles and furniture on this coming weekend but will go to another U-Haul franchise.

Scheduling did it to me again. You guys changed the pick up location with no notification to myself. You really need to get this fixed. You also scheduled me to pick up the trailer to a location that isn't even open on a saturday, my scheduled pick up date. You also caused me to drive 30 miles out of my way to pick up at this location.

Once again, "Amanda (the manager) is the bomb!" Originally, I was supposed to turn in my truck to another location in the same town on July 4th, but that site was closed. Amanda's office willingly took me in and checked in my vehicle with no problem at all. I realize that there is a lot that happens behind the scenes to make scenarios like this work, so I don't take the service I received for granted in the least. Thank you to Amanda and her team for going the extra mile! Great job!

"Amanda (the manager) is the bomb!" She was fantastic in helping me out. My contract said to turn in my auto-transport in Gulfport. I later got a text from UHaul stating to turn in at another nearby UHaul still in Gulfport. However, that location closed too early to help me and, in fact, referred me to the place where I did turn in the AT. Amanda called UHaul central management to make sure the original turn-in location did not need the AT before accepting my AT. That's not only dedication to me as a customer but also a potential future customer. Going the extra mile is clearly what this UHaul location is all about. I am very grateful to have such competent and caring professionals taking care of me. Thank you--Amanda and your team--for doing such a great job!!

The staff was very helpful, especially Amanda (I think that was her name). I can't thank her enough for helping us get the truck we needed on the day we needed it.
