Get a new manager with better customer service skills to begin with!!!! I had a reservation for this truck but was only allowed to keep it for four hours yet charged for the whole 24 hours. Then the close out process was a total nightmare.

The customer Service was wonderful. Very friendly and understanding. The truck had not been cleaned out completely by previous user and getting it to crank was a hassle but once it cranked it was okay

The truck kept stalling, it was call in after I got the apt, then it cut off, and they had to send a wrecker out to fix it. He was talking about towing it, but we had loaded it. Everytime I stopped for anything, it stalled or cut off. That truck was not fit to be rented to anyone. It cut off in the uhaul lot upon return. I had to take it back late last night, and get my boss trailer to finish my move. This was to be a 24 hour rental, I have furniture in storage that had to be moved. This was a nightmare from hell move, and no one should have had to go through what my family and I had to. Very dissatisfied, and unexceptable.

The truck was dirty and almost out of fuel. When the truck was brought up for us, it was dirty and had no dolly. we had to wait for the clerk to clean it out. The truck's check engine light stayed on the whole time we had used it. After we filled the truck and on the way to the new home - the truck kept dying. every time we came to a light the truck would die. At one point I was afraid that it would not start again. I will never use this U-haul again.

45 minutes into the trip the brake lights came on and a loud beeping noise lasted for almost 40 minutes before finally going away. 200 miles into the trip, one of the trailer chains had broken somehow but have no idea how since I twisted the chain so not to drag on the ground and I made no sharp turns. at about 300 miles of the 600 mile trip, it became dark and turned on the headlights. They are the old style glass lamps and severely needed adjustment as one was pointed into the ditch of the passenger side and the driver side was facing almost straight down at the ground only illuminating about 1 1/2 highway lines in front of the truck. This caused me severe eye strain and neck/back/shoulder pain from the nonexistant visibility. Because of all of the issues with the vehicle, it took 17 hours to drive 600 miles. Also, due to the stress and pains, I had to hire someone to unload the truck at the other end as I was in no shape to do it as I had planned. Until U-Haul puts new equipment back into its inventory, I just don't feel safe renting from them anymore. Upon returning the truck to this location, they just looked at me like I was an alien and didn't know what to say when I asked that they not rent the truck out to anyone without havnig a mechanic make the needed repairs. I seriously doubt that they even listened to me and probably put the truck right back out on the road. This location apparently is understaffed and has NO air conditioning or else refuses to use it to make their customers comfortable. It was a total disaster trying to get in and out of their lot because of the vehicles all over the place......

They charged me for gas in the uhaul when I got in tbe vehicle the tank was empty.. the ramp on the uhaul did not work I feel I was over charged and really would prefer my money back I paid over 400.00 for the uhaul and was traveling with my 10 month old child.. I feel I was taken advantage of.. the truck didnt even run good at all. Was a horrible experience with an 8 hour drive..

Don't LIE to customers. If am employee can not make a rental decision they are worse than salespeople. Beware of the uhaul on pass rd in Gulfport the entire store is nothing but lazy liars. Rent a truck for one day and they charge you for 2. Call first thing in the morning and they said that yes it was a mistake we are sorry and we will fix your bill and at the end of the no one called to fix my bill nor did they correct the bill. Called the store and they transferred me to customer service and they transferred me to another customer service who said they will sent it to the GM which could take up to a week for a response mean while little ole me got double billed and is out of the money. ABSOLUTELY terrible!!!!!! On top of everything the first customer service rep hung up on me so I had to go thru the entire transfer game twice..... RIDICULES!!!!!!!! Make sure you take pictures of miles fuel and anything one of those scam artist tell you you have it in writing and make sure it is signed by a manager not a regular employee.

When a truck pulls in, someone should take the time to explain your process to the customer. We were 1st time users and unsure of what to do, what to expect, where to go etc. Employees were nice but we were somewhat confused as to the process.

We were scheduled to pick up at 8 am. We drove half an hour to the site only to find they didn't open until 9. In calling customer service the extremely rude lady told me there was nothing they could do to help up. We had movers scheduled for 9:30. This experience has been the worst I've had with a moving truck company in ten moves I've made. I will NOT reccomend UHaul to anyone I know for any reason, even if they have a lower rate than another company.

The truck was NOT clean before I got it, I did Leave it clean. I put too much gas, my fault. I was OVERCHARGED and had to call multiple times before any correction was attempted. I noticed my "environmental fee" went up on the "corrected" bill. The original was taken out of my account but still has that much again in my pending making my available balance much lower at a critical time. I was told you would take a few days to issue refund - didn't take so long to take the overcharge out. BAD EXPERIENCE - and all this was to help someone else.

- Equipment was clean and well maintained, but there was a strong odor of tobacco smoke in the cab--suggest using air freshener or some Febreze between rentals. - The retail area did not appear to be air conditioned. It was a hot, muggy day in South Mississippi, so it was quite hot and muggy inside as well. Air conditioning on the retail floor would be most appreciated. - Sales representative was very friendly and had the equipment ready, with the auto transport already hooked up, ops checked and ready to go. - After-hours key drop slot was not really wide enough to accept the key, as it had the remote built into the key--recommend a wider key slot to accept modern keys with a built-in remote. - Altogether, good location. I would rent here again.
